  1. You're utterly missing the point. Because it IS one guild. It's the actual structure of the game that forces 1 guild to create a multilateral approach to playing, rather. Why this is so much beyond you to understand, I dunno.
  2. Agreed. It's to Bioware's credit they raised the cap to 1000, mind you. It used to be even harder to manage so many members' characters when the cap was half that. But the difficulties remain, even with 1000 characters in a single guild. We have quite a few members who have hit the limit of 40 characters on the server already, mind you. We really do need to have multiple guilds to support all of our members; it isn't that we want the chore of managing so many guilds, though.
  3. There is a cap of 1000 characters for any single Guild, yes. That means, that no guild can house more than 1000 characters at a time. Consider the math. If you have a community of 500 members, they can only put 2 characters into the Guild. But as you just pointed out, most players have quite a few more than 2 characters, lol. With players able to create up to 40 characters on a server, Guilds are forced to limit the number of characters that can be invited to a single guild and then create additional guilds to house all of those alt characters.
  4. I am sorry, but I find this thread particularly amusing. Months ago, I argued quite vehemently here on the forums that the cap on the number of characters in a single guild makes for particular difficulties in terms of management of resources and member support. I was told over and over in response, that such a move would only make for an unfair advantage for those Guilds when it came to Conquest. I responded, saying that the cap actually forces larger guilds to create multiple guilds, rather. Which then leaves open the chance that a single community of players can take multiple standings on a single planet. Or take victory on multiple planets, even. I was scoffed at, though. And here we are, lol. This isn't an exploit you're referring to, though. If you would prefer, that a single Guild community of members all be in one single Guild on the server -- then raise the cap on characters, shrug. Or change the cap on characters over to accounts, perhaps. But believe me. Larger Guilds struggle to manage their multiple guilds and most would LOVE to have all of their members' characters in one guild.
  5. Here is the Guild Recruitment forum for the Ebon Hawk server, only just nearby: http://www.swtor.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=406 Hope that helps!

  9. I'm on Shadowlands, and won't be moving anytime soon.
  10. I am creating a new Bounty Hunter and a Consular this Tuesday. They'll both be dark side. I will also create a new Smuggler for the light side achievement. I'm looking forward to it, shrug.
  11. It's an option. I didn't say it was a good option. Me, I'm in the market for additional character slots because I refuse to delete characters, too. Sometimes the characters I hang onto have crafting abilities I am determined to keep, for instance. Similarly, going to another server is an option. All I meant to say, is to try looking over various options.
  12. You're the one who said you're being forced to do something, though. New players have to do the same activity to get the reward; they're not being forced, either. Many of them have come to the game to use instant-60 characters, rather. So if THEY want these prizes, these are the activities they have to complete. So it's basically NO particular group is going to achieve these particular rewards without doing what it takes to earn them.
  13. There are several options in that case. Mind you, I have a guild member with two separate accounts that he's maxed on character slots on our server. I was discussing the event with him, and he mentioned that he will be deleting some of his lower-level characters in order to participate in the event, for instance.
  14. LOL! You are NOT being forced to do anything, which is precisely my point here. You want the rewards, they are attached to those particular activities. They didn't change up the game, or anything. They're only listing a series of activities that you can do, or not. But if you do them, you get prizes. What YOU are saying, is that you should get the prizes even without doing the activities the prizes are attached to. That's where I am disagreeing with you, mind you. I'm not saying this is suddenly some amazing new game, lol.
  15. If your complaint is, indeed, that the actual leveling experience isn't changed up or different then you have a valid point. This event doesn't add any additional content, only attaches new rewards to existing content, yep. That wasn't the original complaint of this thread, however. Nor even of the comment that I was responding to, which was focused on the rewards and who warrants achieving them.
  16. Erhm, yep and read it through once, twice, and more. You may want to read through it yourself, since it doesn't say "create new legacy", mind you. It says, "level new characters" quite a few times, rather.
  17. No, it isn't. What this event is, is like a whole new match or activity provided for ALL players regardless of when they started playing. One that provides ALL of them equal opportunities for doing the SAME thing.
  18. You know what? I don't like ranked PVP. I mean, I think the rewards for ranked PVP are pretty darn nifty-looking. But I just hate pvp enough, that I refuse to do any of it ranked. So I don't get the rewards; and I'm perfectly fine with that. To me, bottom line with ANY event or activity in a game, is that if you want the rewards and are willing to earn them then fine. But if not, don't complain. I get plenty of pats on the back for being a player of this game for as long as I have been. I don't need or want to be someone screaming for more just for having sat here on my rear as long as I have, though. Basically, play or don't play. THIS veteran player is going to be fine through the event, regardless of any titles I earn, or not along the way.
  19. Start with Canderous Ordo's story, maybe. Ordo fought with the Neo-Crusaders during the Mandalorian Wars. Until they were defeated by Revan. After that, he went on to work as a mercenary, only later encountering Revan on Taris after he'd lost his memory. They fought together, and Canderous became Revan's friend. So much that the two went on to recover Mandalore's Mask together, so that Ordo was eventually able to take on the role of Mandalore himself; effectively making the Clans far more pro-Republic than they'd ever been before. Years later, when Mandalore the Vindicated (Artus Lok) took leadership, clans Cadera, Ordo, Itera, and Kelborn argued that the Clans should ally themselves with the Republic. Partly from the tradition set down by Canderous years earlier. And partly because it was the Empire that set a puppet Mandalore in place to try controlling the Clans; a puppet that the Vindicated killed in order to take over leadership. So the Clans were largely leery of remaining aligned with the Empire. Jicoln Cadera was the one who lead the Schism into outright conflict, though. He actually battled with Artus Lok. It's hinted in conversation in-game that Artus Lok and Jicoln Cadera were friends beforehand, which might account for how bitterly Artus Lok eventually responded. Or maybe it's just because Jicoln was the leader of the revolt. Regardless, when Jicoln Cadera was defeated it was his Clan that was virtually wiped out; the adults were killed while the children were parceled out for adoption among the other Clans. The other clans, including Ordo, were accepted back by the Mandalore. Torian's mother was likely killed in the immediate aftermath. It's interesting that Torian never gave up the name Cadera, however. He did grow up to be fiercely loyal to Mandalore the Vindicated, fighting to make up for the shame his father's revolt brought to their Clan. Torian also succeeded apparently. Since Clan Cadera has been recognized and accepted back into the Clans under Torian's own leadership by the time we find him on Darvannis. That being said the Clan is still very small, according to Torian. Chances are he can call on a sizeable number of troops, or warriors that would rally to his call. But it's never clarified just how many warriors follow him. Still, the leader of a Clan in terms of rank is perhaps equal to a General if we're talking military ranks, at least when they're in a battle or conflict of some sort. That explains why Torian is involved in war table discussions with Mandalore herself. I do like how Torian's presented as being more mature by the time he's on Darvannis; he's gained experience enough to provide his own thoughts and consideration of the battle. But his basic personality remains very much Mandalorian and individual. He's still my favorite companion in the game, lol.
  20. I enjoy the fights, and how to manage the motions using my companion character. I generally maneuver between a tank and dps companion to get the job done. I avoid ranged companion characters, hands down. The fights almost demand my companion be right there nearby the boss most often. And to clarify, my main is a Scoundrel healer in 224 gear. I spend a lot of the time destroying adds and healing my companion, hehe.
  21. Define "better". Chances are your "better" isn't the same as someone else's "better". And their "better" isn't the same as anyone else's "better", either. Why continue foisting your notion of "better" onto anyone, I mean. Play the game, or don't play the game. And that's all.
  22. 1. Dark Side 2. I so miss my warrior's Quinn. 3. Yes. Which as I consider the 3 end-game warriors on my list makes sense, I suppose. 4. DS Jaesa, with the provision my warrior slapped her upside the head and declared, "No! That's plain stupid crazy; not dark side." 5. I always forget Broonmark. Seriously.
  23. Only thing you said there, that I agree with -- is when you said "You will not believe".
  24. I've called Shadowlands a home of sorts for a couple of years. Don't really have issues putting groups together, even in the most obscene hours of the night. Guilds are pretty active and we get to know one another, too, with communication enough to put server-wide activities into place. When I do PVP the warzones come at a pretty good pace; I don't stand around aimlessly waiting, anyway. And my guild's always recruiting, hehe.
  25. Chapter 12 was designed to delve into really esoteric definitions of the lore that encompasses the Force. You're basically arguing about something that amounts to Magic, and trying to apply logic to it. But it's a fantasy tale, and magic is magical precisely because there's no real logic that explains it. It makes just as much sense, to tell a Smuggler the Force was always in him, as it does saying it to a Jedi. If only because they're both characters in a fantasy universe that relies upon some definition of energy or plain 'ole magic that we simply can't understand. Or ... ! You can just totally RP it in your own head, that your Smuggler or Bounty Hunter could always have used the Force just as much as any Jedi; they simply never tried or did. How old was Leia when we learned she really could use the Force, just as much as Luke?
