  1. Each year <Covenant of the Phoenix> takes time to celebrate 4th of July and Canada Day. We gather together to host a spectacular Fireworks celebration, jumping between various worlds so we can get some truly amazing Shows. This year, we'd be glad to have anyone who'd like to join us to come along! So look for us: EVENT INFO Here is the video of last year's Fireworks: SHOW And as always, hope your holiday is excellent! Happy Independence Day, all!
  2. So my Guild's officers discussed this issue and chance during our officer meeting tonight. By and large, we were all fairly excited for the chance, mostly because we've been somewhat struggling in recent months for people and activity. We're definitely not adverse to making another move - it certainly wouldn't be the Guild's first merge, anyway. But we did have some concerns, too. (1) We have done our best to accommodate our members' characters, so we have a lot of guild SPACE. We have 8 guilds in-game, with 7 guild ships and 8 guild strongholds that are all fully decorated, and 8 guild banks that're not necessarily full but we have officers busily moving items back and forth between our banks all the time. It's WORK just thinking about reestablishing those SPACES. (2) Some of our most veteran players are off playing different games now. Like I said, quite a few of us were here and helped manage the Guild during the last server merge. We bantered for a while to describe the space we'd carve in our personal character inventories for as much of our Guild's credits and inventory. Sorry but we just don't trust computer(s) enough not to hang onto our STUFF. (3) Our name! Seriously, we've held onto our Guild's name through server merges already. Our Guild represents a gaming community that we're glad to be part of, so we don't want to lose our name in any future merges. We're really intent on hanging onto our name on whatever server we're playing on, bottom line. Off the top of my head, those were the concerns we shared during our monthly officer meeting tonight. So I decided to share, here. Thanks for all you guys do, anyway. And wave!
  3. Hey! I came up with a handy-dandy graphic to answer this question: IMAGE
  4. We have so much fun - just taking advantage of whatever opportunities the game offers for amusing and enjoyable events. This week, we discovered the joys of attacking the Imperial base on Iokath: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7YxLkSjMgw&t=21s Check out our website: COTP forums And our events schedule: COTP Events
  5. We keep trying to get stuff moved over to Imperial-side, but most of us have our Mains on the Republic side of the game. Our events run the gamut, though - we do a little bit of everything, so our weekly schedule remains active. We have Operations running almost nightly, some PVP on the weekends, a dash of GSF for those that enjoy the adventure, and loads of story all the time. We even do crazy-type of activities on Mondays, like playing Hide & Seek on various planets. Our most active members jump into Mumble for even more hilarity, to boot. It gets nuts at time, lol. Feel free to glance through our schedule thread on our Forums (it's updated weekly).
  6. Sniffle, right in the middle of an event. Go figure.
  7. The lack of originality in your post is ... disturbing.
  8. Hello, Prime! Welcome back to the game! Our own guild's been around for a long time, so feel free to check us out anytime. Our forums remain busy, with members happily exploring any and everything the game has to offer. We post up our weekly schedule of events each Monday, ready for server maintenance. Just to give you an idea what <Covenant of the Phoenix> gets up to each week regularly: COTP events schedule We are part of a multi-game community, too. So that our members find a "home" no matter what they want to play. Make sure to check out our forums for an idea who we are: Covenant of the Phoenix forums Here's one of our recruitment videos: Covenant of the Phoenix in Conquest
  9. They're typically a blast. We have some awesome people in the guild, so spending time together ends up being stellar fun. Or maybe I'm just biased, hehe.
  10. There is ALWAYS "justification" -- you may not agree with it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Quinn himself admits Baras "forced his hand", even if he never describes the nature or degree of force that was brought to bear. But this is a world where a Sith can "force" you with nothing more than a wave of his pudgy hand, too. It could be THAT simple, or it could be far more complex a level of force, too. Or even both, who knows? The story only leaves that particular detail perfectly blank, is all. Or heck, we can just flat-out assume it's all about his looks. Rather than just maybe, maybe we're trying to make sense of the story. Because after spending months and months thinking about it after my initial playthrough (I was so bothered I deleted my first-ever Warrior character, mind you) - and since the entire incident doesn't make dang sense otherwise - I finally decided Quinn was telling the truth when he says, "He's forced me." It just gave my Warrior even more incentive to slice open Baras' belly, is all.
  11. I've personally always thought that it's far too simple and easy to respond to the Quinn-cident with "I'm Sith, I kill everything, everyone, every time" ... But my Warrior isn't STUPID, mind you. Even if she forgot Quinn was never, ever powerful or strong enough to resist whatever "force" Baras brought to bear on him, to have him comply - she knew Quinn was a valuable as heck resource to augment her own power as she rose to the position of Wrath. But I know not everyone plays their Warrior as smart enough to look past the most superficial surface of the story, hehe.
  12. Bioware, they keep calling me a "fanboy". Which makes my husband lol every single time, mind you. But seriously. Giving us Quinn right as I'm getting to know Ryder and a whole new galaxy, too? But yea. That's my way of saying, I'll be playing Bioware games for a whole while longer. Thank you!
  13. I'm simply amused at the notion you are anymore an arbiter of space magic in the realm of fantasy lore, than another player here or anywhere. As if you have access to some gauge that accomplishes any sort of qualified determination how or what makes something called The Force to work or not work, that others lack, mind you. It's a make-believe story! So have a merry Life Day!
  14. Pictures for the collage should have been submitted weeks ago, rather. Also, if you're trying to take pictures during cinematic scenes you'll need to use other programs. I use a FRAPS program to capture my screen pictures and then I use Shadowplay to produce videos. Look into those resources if you would like to capture imagery from your game.
  15. Tokens are worth additional CXP if you open them during hour your side is victorious.
  16. OMG I've never seen the LS win on Shadowlands. Mind you, I do work on Tues and Thursdays. Is the LS winning on two days out of the week, then?
  17. Thank you. I was a bit surprised the cost of a companion gift was so much out of hand, considering what they were selling for beforehand. IF I was getting CXP faster or IF I was getting more gifts from the crates I do manage to nab, I might think the cost makes sense. But as it is, I'm stymied getting my companions leveled up and earning better crafting stats that I could use to make gear and items worth improving the alts that I'm not sure I can manage to get gear enough using CXP that I wont have time to earn ... And yea. That sounds about as confused and frustrated as I'm feeling right now.
  18. Hello, Jbeeman. Our own guild is always recruiting. This means we tend to have a rather large roster of characters, which can give the illusion that our members become "lost in the shuffle". But we have a very, very active group of players who gather together in Mumble mostly, and we have a lot of fun together. We're active in PVE operations and PVP warzones, both. We enjoy Conquest and only recently started building a team to get into GSF battles, too. Heck, sometimes we just get together to do crazy stuff, so you might see us playing hide & seek on Tattooine or racing each other across Hoth or jumping off cliffs with our boxer-briefs-wearing characters trying to hit a specific target down below, lol. We're just intent on playing and having a good, funny time together. Check us out: Our posted schedule is right here: COTP schedule of events Our forums are right here: Covenant of the Phoenix forums And our Conquest recruitment video is our most recent video: COTP in Conquest

    Hi

So my husband bought me this huge, huge tin full of the most incredibly good shortbread cookies at Sams Club this past holiday weekend. It may take me through the end of the year to eat them all. Unless, that is ... Some of you like shortbread cookies? I have plenty.
  20. (1) The story (2) The friends I play with every night. (3) The story (4) The story (5) New story coming soon (6) Oh and story
  21. Adventus, our guild does a monthly run after the World Bosses during our Guild Night events. Our next one is this coming Monday night 07 November. It will be Republic side this month, and you're welcome to join us. Look for us on Fleet, we start up about 8pm EDT. Here's our weekly schedule: http://www.covenantofthephoenix.com/forums/topic/30199-events-and-activities-schedule/
  22. I've had instances where someone on my own team missed a que -- usually they were afk for a moment while waiting -- and the rest of the team opted to leave the warzone to wait for him. I mean, it can definitely be frustrating when that happens to me during Solo queing. But I try to remember I don't know what's going on behind someone else's screen. And I personally love Odessen warzone. That, and Voidstar are my favorites.
