  1. Even when we win, I am not getting 8 medals in the Huttball warzone matches I'm playing. I am playing as a healer, most often. Sometimes a tank. But in most Huttball matches that we do manage to achieve a victory I'm getting about 6 medals at most. Losses I'm lucky to nab 2-3 medals, though. I still hate Hypergate more than any of the warzones, though. Such a horrible map and the point distribution makes no sense at all. I call it the "where objectives are meaningless" warzone. On the flip side, the teams that just love deathmatching and claiming high kill numbers have a ton of fun in there.
  2. I can relate to your frustration, of course. I even have days where I anticipate particularly frustrating runs towards my weekly. Tuesdays are bad. And Fridays, too I think. I had a really bad evening a few weeks ago where I quite literally lost 12 warzones in a row. By the end, I thought I was going to throw my headphones across the room from the pure angst of the experience. However, that's absurdly rare of an occurrence, in my experience. Even when the best premades in the game are playing, I usually manage to eek out at least one or two victories that edge me closer than not to my weekly's requirement. So that even if I'm getting frustrated over getting my healing face smashed into the floor over and over, I do manage to get something accomplished faster than it would've been otherwise. I mean, I can remember very, very clearly when there was no "victories count for 3" in the warzones. Heck, I remember when the weekly requirement was for 20 matches, even. So if it came down to it, I'd rather have the weekly work as it is now, currently, rather than revert to some of the more angsty, painful days gone past. The way it is now is far improved, I mean. And rather than relying upon whatever metric the Devs might assume is "most fair" -- I'd say the status quo is pretty good. Nothing against the Devs, either. It's just, someone else's definition of "fair" can be rather capricious, in fact. I assume you're running your weekly solo-mode, most often? Are you guilded? Consider teaming up with a guildie to make a warzone run more enjoyable, anyway. It does help. I run solo a lot of the time, but my guild also has scheduled pvp events where we group together and chat back and forth through the more angsty matches. Just keep your chin up, regardless.
  3. I so enjoy these sort of contests. I can NOT wait to see if one of my images nabs some recognition!
  4. I am utterly thrilled, guys. Truly, truly excited! I am back to exploring the Galaxy for the best possible shots!
  5. This brings back memories of the corny-as-heck Speeder Races we used to have on Corellia and Tattooine! Ah, good times:
  6. I deliberately cycle through all my GM-hatted toons every Tuesday when I log into game. We have several guilds on Star Forge and a couple over on Satele Shan, too (even if we ARE casual/social now lol), so I make it a point to avoid "losing" any guilds. And even then, it happens every once in a while. So case in point, we had one tiny, little guild we were using to store gear and such into the guild bank. But we decided we were going to sell it off (yes, the whole guild). So I went through the process of moving everything out of the guild bank, off to another one of our banks nearby, and then had our members move their characters. All's good, right? Well, I forgot all about it. Seriously, I forgot we even HAD that guild! So just the other day, I log into a lowbie alt and I'm running around doing class quests and having a dandy time. After several hours, I check to see which one of the guilds my alt was located in, and I realize it's that particular guild. And yep, I no longer hold the GM-hat on any one of my toons. I'm smacking myself, truly. Good news, the dude who got the hat hasn't logged in for 27 days. Fingers crossed, he forgets all about that toon of his, too. LOL.
  7. Colors seem to be muted or stale on Dantooine. I can't put my finger on what's causing the issue. It's as if graphics have been set back, or scaled backwards maybe. It's just, that everything on Dantooine looks like it comes from an older version of the game and the entire FEEL of the zone is off. My character's facial expressions are working correctly but his skin looks fake and rubbery while he's running around on Dantooine. That being said, companion complexions look pretty good. It's strange. I will say that the terrain looks like it will be amazingly pretty, if the graphics and colors are brought in line with the "normal" servers.
  8. My romanced-Warrior went Empire during Iokath. Not from any specific loyalty to Acina, nor even to the Empire itself. Rather, my own Lusiel saw Quinn's presence in that particular instance as an outright threat to him, by Acina. Basically, he was there for Acina to show what leverage she had against my Warrior, in fact. IOW, it was two Sith jockeying for a very particular result. Lucky for Acina, retrieving Quinn's life away from Acina's grasp was more important to my girl than currying favor with a Republic that had already proved untrustworthy. But then I played Iokath with my light-side Marauder. He too viewed Quinn's presence as an overt threat from Acina. Rather than acceding to her attempt at control, however, Sariel scoffed and threw his lot in with the Republic. For him, it was a blatant in-your-face refusal to be controlled by Acina or the Sith Empire. And in the end, Quinn repudiated Acina and the Empire, in lieu of supporting the Warrior who'd won his loyalty away from Baras years earlier. Both possible choices make sense in light of the story. Although in both instances, what becomes obvious is that Quinn's loyalty is first and foremost to the Sith Warrior he serves, as it was to Baras at one time. And Acina never won that much of his loyalty, not ever. I tend to believe he only served Acina inasmuch it would get him closer or return him to the Warrior, in fact. I also think his loyalty to the Empire slowly crumbled during the years he was consistently turned away and then finally imprisoned for trying to rescue the Warrior, too.
  9. Does this include the armor sets currently up for preview in collections? I was assuming they were going to be available in the next pack. But if they're going to be up for direct sale, I am going to be thrilled. Trying to piece together these sets can be frustrating at times.
  10. Exactly. Every single screenie that shows you found the correct location earns 5 points. Additional points are granted to the 3 guys who reach the location faster, is all. But every correct find is worth it. Having said that, the locations can be challenging to find or reach, too. In the end, it's pure fun more than anything.
  11. Feel free to jump in regardless - one of our Hunters only just started going and she's already zooming into the race ... Woot, Spiritbrook! Everyone who runs along will get a prize of some sort and anyone who finds all 20 locations will nab gear and the likes from our guild banks. But it's also cool just to watch, yep, hehe. Oh, and hey ... Target #6 just went up: HERE
  12. Absolutely! Throw up some pics on any of our posted Targets, make sure to include your in-game character handle, and I'll track your points! Cheers!
  13. Check out Target Location #3: HERE And Tarynn remains in the lead ... keep it up, Tarynn!
  14. Check out Target Location #2: HERE Currently, our Tarynn is in the lead!
  15. COTP's Mark the Spot Screenie Contest!! I’m a big fan of taking screen pictures and sharing them, too. So I figured it would be fun to get any and everyone involved in the madness! In other words - we're hosting a new screen-picture contest called "Mark the Spot"!! And this time, we're inviting everyone from Star Forge to play along! This one will be epic, guys! Expect a real challenge finding some of these spots and locations throughout the SWTOR galaxy. If you think you're up for it, there's a sweet as heck prize of a Hypercrate filled with 26 Singularity packs for the lucky (and skillfull) winner! The challenge is on for any and all who want to hunt! What is it? We’re hunting for unique and amazingly hard to find LOCATIONS throughout the Star Wars: The Old Republic galaxy! It might be anything from a nefarious cantina filled with characters to a high-up rock ledge overlooking a planet’s horizon far, far away. But our hunters will find them all, right? The trick for anyone who agrees to join the hunt, is to find the proper locale before any of the other hunters and earn points enough to win the Grand Prize! The Grand Prize this time round is a hypercrate filled with goodies! But everyone who plays along will win rewards galore, too! Hey! We’re in this to have fun!! Newest target is HERE! When does it happen? The Hunt begins Tuesday, 13 March, when the first target location is listed in a thread on this forum: HERE. The Hunt will run through the end of the month. The last target location will be posted in a thread on the forum on 30 March. The last screen-pictures which will be accepted for points must be posted by 8pm EDT on 31 March. Important! The newest legs of the Hunt will be posted randomly throughout the week. Remember -- check back regularly! The target locations may be posted at any time of the day! You don't want to miss the updates, because the fastest three to find the locations will earn even more points during the hunt. What are we looking for? Targeted locations are all predetermined. The Listing of each target will be posted on this Covenant of the Phoenix public forum, HERE, throughout the week. There are a total of TWENTY targets. They will be located randomly throughout the game, and might be found on either the Republic or the Imperial side of the game. Each Listing will include Clues to help the Hunters find the Target, including a screen-picture of either a republic-side character or an imperial-side character at that particular Target. Clues will hint at planet location and then the general vicinity, too. Newest Target is HERE. What are the Rules? (1) Hunters must find the actual Target Location as described in the original posted clue. The Target is ALWAYS the Location, nothing else!! Not the character, not the class, not the pose -- only the location! (2) Verify you've found the correct location by creating a screen-picture that you then post on the forums thread describing that Target Location. Note: you will need to first upload your picture onto a secondary site before sharing on our COTP forums (i.e. photobucket, imgur, etc.) (3) Make sure EVERY screen-picture you post includes the name of your character on the Star Forge server where a winning prize may be sent via in-game mail!! This is very important, since anyone from the Star Forge server is welcome to join the hunt! (4) NO screen-picture shared anywhere other than the Covenant of the Phoenix "Mark the Spot" forum will be accepted. No Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, or SWTOR forum post will count towards the points tracking. (5) Your submitted screen-picture MUST match the original screen pictured LOCATION as close as possible. Clues to the location are often provided in the original clue screen-picture, basically. (6) Posted entries marked on the COTP forums as “edited” will not count for points. This is because submissions posted first, second, and third earn additional points. In other words, hunters are permitted to submit another screen-picture if their original attempt is not the correct location but they can not edit their original post. To be clear -- ensure the background of your picture is the same. You do not have to match the character, class, or pose of the original clue – ONLY the location! Show us you found the Targeted spot! Scoring Points will be awarded to Hunters based on the accuracy and the speed of their Find: 5 points for every correct Target located 5 points for being first to find the target 4 for being second to find the target 3 for being third to find the target Note: Make sure every one of your screenpics includes the character name from the Star Forge server who will receive any winning prizes you’re due!! Prizes Truly mercenary Hunters deserve amazing rewards! Or bragging rights, at least! But the winning Hunter will take home a Hypercrate containing 26 Singularity crates. Our second place winner will receive 10 million credits and third place will receive 5 million credits. Note: Any ties for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place at the end of the race will be broken by run-off chases to find Bonus targets, guys! So be ready if the race is particularly close between one or more hunters! Every Hunter who participates and finds all twenty of the Targets will win a random door prize chosen by Phyreblade from one of the Rare tabs of the Guild’s banks, including armor sets, vehicles, or some other worthy item. And everyone who plays along will receive various prizes chosen randomly from the Guild's stocks of color crystals, pets, weapons, and other baubles. Tracking the Hunt I’ll post the Points awarded HERE so that everyone can watch the Hunt’s progress. Remember to check back regularly! And have an outstanding Hunt!
  16. The corruption causes constant and unceasing drooling attacks.
  17. Starkindred decorated and showed off our Empire-side guild ship, called Malik. It looks amazing: CHECK THIS OUT
  18. First of all, I'm always thrilled to hear about companions returning. But Akaavi is coming home - so extra awesome-ness! And I may have to play an entire character through again, just to experience a pure Arcaan romance arc, woot. So thanks most especially for the good news! But I'd really, really be interested in knowing as much and more about the changes being made to Conquest. Is it possible, Keith, that we could get something more than a forum or blog post, too? I'd really like to see a livestream, where we could get some questions answered most directly, anyway. All I know, is that I'm going to have a whole slew of Guild members anxiously biting their nails as they wonder how they're going to have to change up their game. So the more information and direction us Guild leaders can provide them, the better. Again, thanks much for all the hard work you've been putting into the game!
  19. And Covenant of the Phoenix enjoyed thrashing Thrasher: Check out the !!!
  20. A couple of our guilds have been sold. But we still have two guilds that are available for sale. Please consider the spaces that we can still offer and PM me here or in-game if you'd like to "see" them yourself. Thanks much!
  21. GUILDS FOR SALE Covenant of the Phoenix is an international multi-game community, with a presence in countless games since the year 1997. COTP’s own SWTOR chapter was created at the game’s release in 2011 on the Krayt Dragon server. Eventual server merges found COTP with two separate chapters on the Prophecy of the Five and Shadowlands servers, but the two COTP chapters agreed to merge together onto the Shadowlands server. This allowed COTP to embrace the most recent server merge onto the Star Forge server with tremendous eagerness, too. Having grown and expanded since SWTOR was established, COTP has created a number of guilds and progressed them over the years. With the merge between Prophecy of the Five and Shadowlands server into the Star Forge server, though, COTP finds itself managing a few more guilds than it currently requires. This allows us the chance to offer some of our Guild spaces and resources for those members of the community that can better use them. Consider the list of these Guilds that COTP is offering for sale, then. Please note, that each Guild will include the described spaces and resources and will come with Guild re-name and Guild ship re-name tokens, too. Any questions you may have or concerns you might wish to share, please feel free to offer them to me via PM here on the forums or in-game, too – my characters are Gaibriel Duncan or Camiel Shorn (Republic side) or Khyriel Phyre (Empire side).
