  1. 7/10 Personal Story - Would have been higher were it not for bugs 5/10 UI/ interface - very last gen... 5/10 Warzones- The fact you can't choose a specific Wz is counter productive. 6/10 Legacy Implementation - Reroll should never be a primary endgame goal. The legacy idea, however is not bad, but implementation could have been better and less of a cash sink. 1/10 Customer Service - Outsourced CS to 3rd world countries where engrish as a 4th language is bad. However, it does not suck as bad as the ingame auto-responder close your ticket macros that is the current thing. 2/10 Races... this point has been belabored horribly, no need to reiterate specifics here. I wanted this game to rock. I love the genre, however, EA wasted a lot of money to develop a substandard product. The above made SWG NGE look attractive... makes sense that they made Sony close it... I would probably be playing it instead...
  2. Guild Wars 2 is P2win? Really? I have not seen that in the model for GW2. Do you have a source for this?
  3. I think it's awesome that the OP is getting trolled by those who disagree with him. What makes it so awesome is that there are a variety of hax released already for TOR that are fully functional. I will not release the websites of where to obtain them, but I am personally aware of at least 3 fully functioning swtor haxs atm. That said, I have not seen one that can affect serverside RNG. Anyway, happy googling for them.
  4. Ya, but even if the wins counted, the Champ Bag lottery is a poor design, even pvp were bug free.
  5. Its funny you bring this up. Everyone was calling for an open or large scale beta and were ignored. However, if an Open Beta or large scale beta that lasted more than a weekend had happened, a lot of these issues could have been avoided. Trufax: Most of the time during the closed beta there were like 2-3 beta servers up and those were not full.
  6. I appreciate your reply, I apologize that I misunderstood your post and response. That said, I completely agree with you based on this post.
  7. Clearly you misunderstood my post and have never heard of the term "straw man argument." I encourage you to look it up. I am not attempting to troll or talk down to you. Nor did I say you were pathetic... I said your argument is pathetic. Please don't personalize. My point is that the dev blog post seemed to be an excuse. IMO, and its just my opinion, if the devs were sincere, they would immediately implement a customer service structure that doesn't close tickets unresolved. Or in the case of tickets that are genuine bugs and/or those tickets that get escalated, keep them open until its determined its a bug then close them. As a follow up, post the bug into a known issues section of the forums so people stop making tickets for known issues. This simple solution will drastically reduce the amount of redundant tickets their team will have to sift through. The car thing is something in the english language called an analogy. Clearly this is also something that is new to you. I also suggest you google it. Not hatin, just trying to educate where I can. I am glad you are happy with the game, and while there are many in the forums who hate to hate, there are more who are presenting valid issues and are frustrated by the devs for dismissing them. Then they have to deal with the players who haven't experienced their issues who troll them and tell them to quit QQing and go away.
  8. I cancelled my 6 month sub and went month to month to give this game another month or two of my time before moving on. The story line is amazing and there are good things about this game. However, the last-gen engine, poorly designed UI and the redundant unnecessary loading screens did it for me. I am frustrated by the bugs, but I think the devs are now starting to work on them in a meaningful way. Proof is the GCD issue, while this issue is not fixed completely, it has drastically improved. Also the lag on the fleet is not quite so bad, however this also could be from a lighter server load.
  9. valid criticism is not flaming, contrary to your attempts to make it such. Pointing out how horrible the customer service is in this game is truth, not an insult. About the grammar... srsly? This is the interwebz, da home of de craptastic grammir. Git over EET Further, it is clear you missed the point. The point was not that people are upset that the game has issues. They are upset that the game has issues and Bioware was aware of them early on in the Beta and chose to ignore them. Further, they even censored forum posts that brought these issues to the table. Again, to underscore, many issues that are happening now, were brought to the devs attention during the beta and the devs chose not to address them. Regarding the perceived hate... there is none, you missed the part of my post where I state clearly that I and others want this game to succeed. I know its easy to call those you disagree with haters and flamers, but bringing valid issues to the table, even if they are uncomfortable to talk about in a meaningful way, is neither flaming or hating.
  10. Well I don't know about after cata came out, but prior to that, every interaction I had with WOW customer support was both friendly and professional. Further, if they escalated my ticket, they did not close it. It was geniunely escalated and followed up on. Once that happened, they would contact me with the resolution. With regard to the forums... there aren't even designated community representatives that interact with the community... they dont even have server forums.
  11. This is a poor excuse and pathetic to compare this to Wow's launch... and I was there too. First of all, during the beta the devs ignored the issues that are currently being raised... During builds during the beta, the devs DELETED the forums, so that new beta testers did not know what was already reported. Secondly, the technology that exists today, which is considered mainstream, was bleeding edge and untested during the WOW launch. comparing a new care to a 8 year old car, when the car companies had years to learn from their competitors mistakes, is a straw man argument... at best. The devs knew about these issues and responded with a egotistical, "I got this" line dismissing all those who were geniunely concerned about this. People care about this game, we all want it to succeed, that is why so many are venting on the forums... its because they care.
  12. Bug fixes are neat. However, there are so many "working as intended" borked mechanics in this game which make it broken, that even the working as intended stuff is not. Further, the game is a month old... and you are working on new content, when a large number of your player base is dealing with bugs? Wanna triage something? How about your horribad customer service? I mean srsly... live customer support? You mean the guys who hang up the phone on tech support callers after leaving them on hold for 2+ hours? Or the guys who go through the ingame tickets and mis-categorize them then close them unresolved... See if this is the customer service team you are working with, I would fire all of them, because you are NOT getting the full picture of your situation if all you are going on is their input. Game imbalances are not always bug fixes... sometimes they are poor design. Your insight into how bug fixes get resolved in over generalized terms, while entertaining, does nothing to actually fix them. So rather than pontificating about how you are fixing them, maybe you and your team should actually do it, instead of talk about it.
  13. Marauders are late bloomers. The main problem with Carnage is that it has little survivability and the end of the tree contains now hard hitting abilities. Annihilation or rage are great but they come into their own at the top of the tree. That said, Marauders are late bloomers and every skill is important. Marauders are not a class you can spam 2 or 3 buttons and be as successful with a fuller rotation.
  14. Can you blame him? Melee is having a really tough time right now and Maras are getting constantly excluded from groups, so he has to solo somewhere!!!! Sadly, he even got pwned in rl world pvp. He didn't even do any health damage. NO ONE better call for a mara nerf after this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. It's a common issue on many servers. Further, many MMOs suffer from this as well. Bioware has been made aware of this in numerous posts and tickets from many many people. Like other game companies before it, Bioware will have a hard time resolving it. However, given the state of the game, this is low on the priority list atm.
  16. Resolve No Work, Bioware is aware of it and has acknowledged issus with it somewhere.
  17. EV on normal mode is about 2 hours or so. It's a raid. the PvP grind is more of a lottery in which you grind for commendations and dailies to purchase lottery tickets called champ bags and hope your gear drops. Sometimes, the same piece of gear will drop... four bags in a row.
  18. Kill swapping occurs in many games. Sadly it is difficult to deal with, especially if valid diminishing returns are not created server-side to prevent this. Personally, I think kill swapping exploits the system and players who do it should get a 1 week character roll-back on first offense. 2nd offense is character deletion. Don't ban the accounts, just delete the character and lock the name down, so the name cant be used again. a disciplinary action that is not painful doesn't help. Further, this allows Bioware to continue to take their money while they level a new character.
  19. While I appreciate the down time issues and how frustrating it can be, at least Bioware is not rolling back servers 2 days at a pop or killing the servers for multiple days. WOW has done this, SWG has done this, and given that there are so many issues that need to be addressed, if fixing them means shutting the servers for a week, I am all for it, if it fixes bugs and makes the game playable.
  20. Whether its PvE or PvP, its all bugged and appears to have not been properly tested. The main reason people are doing Ilum is because the Champ gear right now seems better for some than the PvE gear. Bioware has admitted that Rakata is sub-par from where it should be. That said, all endgame needs to have bug fixes and quick, or subs are gonna continue to flee the Tortanic (not my term).
  21. Bioware has admitted that the Rakata gear is sub-par atm and that they are investigating it to make improvements.
  22. I am not sure the OP understands expertise. A player with 15% expertise against a player with T2 PvE gear does 15% more dps to the PvE/ No expertise player. The expertise player heals 15% more to himself and other players. Further, the expertise player takes 15% less incoming damage than the player without expertise. How is the non-expertise gear better than expertise gear in PvP?
  23. The problem with this position is that because of the RNG system, some players are getting their T2 PVP set in a week and some aren't filling out the set after over a month of grinding. With a RNG, there is no expectation, no should have, its all chance... The OP is brilliant and I hope this gets stickied.
  24. Well, when players brought concerns to Bioware's attention, they were dismissed. Now these concerns have evolved into actual issues, and Biowares first response was to censor, then ignore and now post claiming they are attempting to resolve the issues that were concerns prior to launch. What should have happened is that Bioware should have listened to the community and addressed these concerns in a meaningful way prior to launch, instead of ignoring them and censoring those who continued to bring them to their attention. We all want this game to succeed, at heart, many of us are fanbois and hope for the best, that is why you are seeing so many post to the forums.
