  1. Gunglinger:Sharpshooter How others see us: PvP: Easy kill, primary target. We don't have alot of survivability unless there's a Guardian with guard on us. Marauders will tear us apart in seconds. Marauders/Sentinels do hate us because we're capable of killing them at range and are therefore one of the few classes capable of being a real threat to them, and this causes great butthurt as they're no longer completely invincible. It is rather hard for us to keep or take objectives solo. PvE: A reliable, yet extremely squishy source of dps. People like us in FPs and OPS. With good gear people will ask for you by name. How we see ourselves: PvP: Kamikaze DPS in warzones. But, if I have a good team that understands the value of giving me a bodyguard they will find that I can push back attacks with the pressue I can apply to the opposing team. If I've got bodyguards I can work magic. If my team leaves me to hang then I'm queuing alot. PvE: We are the bringers of the thunder. We're good at what we do but we're very vulnerable especially to a zergrush. Bugs with cover cause a delay in movement which in some FP HMs can cause frequent premature discorporation.
  2. I've played Guardian in DPS and Tank spec. * Guardian is sometimes considered weaker than other tank classes and less desired. * DPS Guardian has a weak output and lower survival the higher I go. Allegedly it's supposed to be within %5 or Sentinel/Marauder... but even a short time playing marauder will reveal the total difference in the facemelting capability of the sentinel. People who see a DPS guardian are usually disappointed. * Legacy gear gives a good alternative to the usual choice of brown hobo blanket but... honestly. * Overhead slash... looks silly. * Master strike: The only Master who would be able to pull off turning his back on an opponent is Zatoichi, and that's because he's blind and uses his ears. I like the story and the one-handed style, but I think I may regret going Guardian. So, tl;dr: We're not wanted as tanks because other classes tank better. We're not wanted as DPS because our DPS is nowhere near what a party or op can have if they boot you and choose a better DPS class. Basically, we're the stepchild class.
  3. 1) For legacy options it would be great if we could inherit the racial social emotes from progenitor. So if you had a sith parent/grandparent you could get /punish for example. 2) Cargo Droid. Much like the portable mailbox, your cargo droid takes your stuff and zips off to your cargo
  4. I wholeheartedly agree. We desperately need a master/apprentice system like the exemplar/sidekick system of CoH. This would greatly facilitate grouping with friends and guildies.
  5. Investigation skill has been regularly dropping Armstech schematics for all weapon types. So, you'll be able to get an orange drop vibroknife or shotgun. 1.2 has been pretty cool so far. The legacy stuff upcoming in 1.3 looks even more fun.
  6. If I unlock Pureblood Sith on a server, will I be able to create a Republic Pureblood Sith Smugger, and will that smuggler have Punish to I can smack around Corso Riggs?
  7. Exactly. We give feedback. They have Q&A, but according to some people who are used to getting a medal for everything anything other than a glowing review is worthy of getting red-faced and teary.
  8. I think it was "new species" on the teaser. Which of course was parsed as "new species", not "the same old not very interesting species, just new for your faction". Having Caitans wouldn't be any kind of problem at all to implement, but still the excuse that some other races like togruta or nautolans would have the same problems as the twileks and therefore shouldn't be included doesn't quite pan out for me, but YMMV I only wanted two things, really. Some of this other stuff is marginally okay but not really anything that blows my skirt up really. Some changes to PVP and stuff like the possibility of ship customizations like (finally) a mail terminal and a Hutt Trade terminal are great and I love it, but the legacy system didn't do anything for me at all but be a disappointment due to continuing to not do anything interesting for now. I'm glad you're happy with it.
  9. I love how all the reprobates are enjoying putting words into my mouth. Talk about reading only what you expect to read. I should remember to expect that forums are always a cesspool of derp. There was kind of a bit of buzz that this would be the case and it wasn't clear that all we would get would be the boring option of playing the already disappointing (except twi's and sith) list of Just Humans With Different Tattoos that we have now. You can even see threads very high on this subject. I didn't see anyone trying to Educate the Masses on the Disappointing Truth. The fact is that quite a few people were hoping and/or expecting this to be the case and are disappointed. Ah well, the game is in its infancy and whatnot.
  10. 1) No New Races. Many of us were hoping for the ability to have new races for characters rather than the current list of rather boring options. Sadly, we will only be able to cross-faction races instead of being able to unlock cool races that already exist in game. The models are there and everything, no additional voice acting or production would be necessary. So, you'll be able to get your Pureblood Sith in the Jedi Academy but not a togruta or nautolan. 2) No annoying companion killoff. Instead we're going to *have* to finish storylines with execrable companions because people will expect the buff. Not only can you never be rid of them, but now you're going to have to grit your teeth and suffer through doing stuff for them. 3) No spaceport docking bay no-purpose-zone bypass. 4) server transfers will be "later" Anyone else notice expected things missing?
  11. As a Madness spec sorcerer, I'm getting a kick out of these replies... Moving points at least partially into the madness tree provides several quality of life improvements for pve and pvp. It's about cooldowns, and DoTs For example: 1) Madness. No more cooldown on force lightning 2) Wrath. 20% cast time reduction 3) Haunted Dreams. no activation time on whirlwind 4) Death field. AoE internal damage So, as you can see, quite a bit of utility.
  12. Better watch out or someone from the Erotic Fanfiction Enthusiast community is going to go through all of your old posts and report you for anything even slightly unsundry. That being said, 100% this. I'd rather kiss the wookie. Actually I'd most like to space that schlemiel Corso.
  13. If you want to off c2n2, we need to let them know that what we want is the ability to get rid of companions that we hate and irritate us to homicide.
  14. 1000xTHIS. I am on an alt moratorium in case they announce that legacy rewards might be new races. It's not like we don't see many Nautolan NPCs
  15. Honestly, Can we be allowed to kill off at least one creepy, annoying unwanted fifth wheel? I can't stand Corso and it's painful to start a new Smuggler because you know you're going to have to suffer twenty or so levels of this intolerable Poochie/Schlemiel character. One. Thing. Let me kill Corso.
