My wife and I played years back when the max level was 50. One thing I've noticed since we came back is people have these hologram Hutts out that let them level up. I looked in the Cartel shop and can't find them. How do you get one of those so you can train while out in the field?

Thank you for the longer answer. Even pve tanks losing 11% of total dps is a rather significant nerf. It looks like once again PVP in a PVE game has resulted in classes getting nerfed because of PVP. Oh well. I will still play my PT because I enjoy it.

To be fair, I checked out the stickied threads that haven't been updated in months and went back four pages on this forum trying to find a build for PVE. I found nothing which is why I created this thread. The only builds I see are ones for PVP which I don't have any interest in. I did see the threads about the nerfs but I've played MMORPGs since Ultima Online. I have lived through so many nerfs that I've lost count. I like the bounty hunter because it is the bounty hunter and I like the flame thrower aspect of tanking. If you have any specific tips on how to build a spec, a rotation of abilities, etc. I would really appreciate the help.

When we left the level cap was 50 so that should give you an idea of how long it has been since we last played. We both are subscribers if that makes any difference in abilities unlocked or not. Actually it is not debatable. Tolkien himself said Smaug was not the last great dragon. He was one of the last great dragons. There is a rather distinct difference between "the last" and "one of the last".

Don't worry, I specifically said I wasn't addressing the rest of the post but simply the part about Smaug being incorrect. And btw I agree that F2P can work, and work quite well if I may say, as long as certain principles are kept.

I don't want to talk about this whole post but the part about Smaug the Golden is wrong. The Tolkien lore nut in me must point out that Tolkien himself said Smaug was ONE of the last great dragons left in Middle Earth. He was absolutely NOT the last dragon left. There were other great dragons in the world and there were many more lesser dragons like cave drakes in the world.

My wife and I played LOTRO before the store and after the store and I never saw what the OP is describing. Unless the game has radically changed in the year or so that we stopped playing here's what you could get on the store: vanity options vanity options for mount some +10 scrolls/books for stats that was the only real boost you could buy some + percentage to exp gained for x amount of time scrolls convenience items like more bank slots or larger bags And other things of that nature. If you were a subscriber you got all the content plus character slots and you never, not once, had to buy something in the store that you absolutely HAD TO HAVE in order to compete either in pve or pvp. So unless Turbine radically changed in the last year with the store then the OP is completely wrong at least with LOTRO. I do know that the new owners of Star Trek Online also went F2P and their store had some definite P2W ships you could only get on the store that were literally better than anything you could get in the game.

No, I'm not talking about the social armor that looks like you are wearing sheep. If you look around the base at Hoth you'll see several NPC troopers in regular white trooper armor but it has blue lining and a white half cloak. It sorta looks like snowtroopers from Empire Strikes Back which is why I'd like to get it.

Does anyone know where or how to get an orange chest piece that has the white half cloak in the back? The NPC troopers in Hoth bases wear them and I can't find one anywhere. The only half cloak armor I've found was low level and the cloak was black.

I will be honest, this game is a failure for me and has been since beta. The decision to not have three faction open world rvr as the true end game was the killer. This game is simply WoW without the years of raiding material tacked on in a Star Wars skin with some voice acting. I know for myself and many other gamers gear treadmills are so 2002 that is beyond obtuse to expect people to continue to do them. I don't care about raids or instanced pvp. If you check my characters you won't see one raid, flash point or pvp battleground done or even attempted. The big difference from EA's point of view is that this game was supposed to be a reliable money maker. No one expected WoW numbers but a consistent 1 million subs at 15.00 a month? Sure. And while I don't have the numbers I'm absolutely positive that is not the reality. So the big guys get the axe up top and we've already seen at least two rounds of public layoffs because the game simply failed to deliver. I honestly wish more games would give a three faction open world rvr end game model a chance. Daoc is still going strong and I feel that GW2 will as well.
