  1. Yea man, try it. Everyone is doing it.
  2. well it looks like Im going to spec into TD. I just wasnt sure how much damage it really did. Thanks for the help guys.
  3. I recently rolled a Pyrotech Powertech as an alt to my Sith Assassin. Im looking ahead here, and I was looking at Thermal Detonator. It shares a 15 second cooldown with Exsplosive Dart. Which does everyone prefer? Is it worth the talent point? Or should I spend it elsewhere?
  4. There has been a large push in the community for chat bubbles, especially with a toggle option for those who don't want them. Is a chat bubble system in the works? If so, when can we expect it to be implimented.
  5. Hey guys, I had 3 different accounts and shifted around through different guilds and player cities. Lets start with my first character, who I launched the game with. Chupathingy Ompo <THOR> & <RED> (I think): a blue, Imperial, Mon Cal. I was a Master Commando with pistoleer as a secondary (needed that pistol knockdown followed by flame cone! FTW). I spent most of my time on Tatooine, running back and forth from Bestine to Anchorhead, going back and forth with rebels. The later part of the game I spent on Dantooine trying to help start <THOR> and a player city. I think i eventually just retired this character from use and used Arch Enemy and Commando. Arch Enemy<THOR> & <XCORP> : A human Imperial. I bought this account off a friend because he had Master Architect skills, and made him my crafter. I spent a lot of time trying to get a player city started on Dantooine near one of the far corners of the map. After <THOR> fell apart, I moved to Helios. I had a house there, two spots from the main intersection of the city, behind and to the right of the City Hall and Guild Hall. I never joined <GTF>, for whatever reason. My main focus became armor, eventually, and made millions. Right before the CU hit, I helped launch the second coming of <XCORP>, a buisiness guild located SW of Bestine, north of Helios. Then the NGE came and I was done. Commando: Never part of a guild, but I rolled with <RED>. Another character I took over from a friend who went and joined the Peace Corps. I eventually made him a Master BH, with Carbineer secondary. I never joined a guild with Commando because I wanted to play more of a Mercenary who fought for the Empire (like Boba Fett, IG-88, etc.) I spent a lot of time with Pernicious, one of the more reknown Dark Jedi towards the later part of the game, and my brother, Twoike, who eventually unlocked Jedi. I am on Black Vulkers server now, with two of my friends (also on Scylla) RAWK STAR <IMP> & Edgar <IMP>. We are in a guild with a couple other guys who were on Scylla, but I never played with personally, but RAWK and Edgar did, as well as WoW. When I get their SWG names, I will post them here as well.
  6. I think its kind of silly to begin with. There is a little button at the top of the UI to report bugs. I dont need a hotkey to pull up ticket creations. To me, bugs arent urgent enough to warrent them being reported with the single stroke of a keyboard key.
  7. Sorry if this thread has been made before, but its worth echoing if it has been said before. The title of the thread pretty much says it all. I cant even count how many times I have accidentally hit the Create Ticket hotkey in the heat of a War Zone battle. While trying to franticly warn my team mates of what the other side is doing, i hit the " \ " key which is right above my Enter key. This, of course, is the hot key for the Create A Ticket window. This has resulted in countless lost seconds in battle, deaths, and lost objectives. Please add a feature to unbind the Create Ticket feature. Or at least change the key to some other button that isnt right next to my chat window key. Thanks!
  8. In Star Wars Galaxies, the entire server hinged on the success of the crafting community. All the crafters relied on one another in order to get going, especially architects, who built the mining machinery. Crafters relied on the adventurers to pay for weapons and armor to help pay for the maintenance of their mining equipment and merchant expenses. In SWTOR crafting isnt even required. People just do it because certain items need to be crafted or to help in leveling. I played SWG Beta and took part in its launch. Myself and another friend were some of the first crafters on our server. It took hours to "sample" enough materials to be able to create anything. It took weeks for us to build our first small house and mining extractors (mostly because we used a lot of other materials to make and sell weapons and armor). I remember during the first several days of SWG I was walking through town and some other guy challenged me to my first duel. Our weapons were so pitifull during those first few weeks that our health would recharge faster on its own then we could do damage to one another. After about 5 minutes of spamming low level attacks with our pitiful weapons, we finally ended the duel because neither of us was getting hurt and it was clear nobody would "win". You can get through all of SWTOR by using only lootable items or quest rewards. In SWG both worlds were codependent on each other. Fighters brought back the money they received from doing quests to pay for armor and weapons. Crafters used that money to cover their exspenses and craft newer and better armor and weapons. Everything relied on one another. It all eventually snowballed into the massive economy that it was.
  9. I had two accounts at the height of my SWG game time, one as a Armorsmith/Architecht/Artisan Master. SWGs crafting was so awesome and time consuming. "Just one more thing" always turned into several hours of crafting or resource gathering. Ive spent weeks trying to collect the best materials. I was starting to build a name and reputation for myself by selling armor sets in a huge trading player city on my server. It was so funny because i can remember trying to convince people i knew who had scouting abilities to go kill a ton of rodent sized lizards on Rori (Naboo's moon) because it had the best leather during that particular week. Which was about the equivalent of asking a bunch of level 50 players to go kill loads of starting world animals for my resources, lol. I used to give out free sets of Composite Armor for those who brought me enough of it back. Also getting other players to drop Mining Harvestors at distant locations on these massive planets was always a chore. But it was so rewarding to have other players come to me to buy their armor, because a friend recommended me to them.
  10. Im very impressed with the latest series of updates and annoucments of incoming updates. Have patience people. Bioware is an amazing video game company. KOTOR, Jade Empire, Mass Effect are all amazing games. They know how to craft an amazing game. This is their first MMO. Give them time to hammer out the bugs. They are listening to the community, and your valid complaints will be heard. Yes, Ilum leaves some things to be desired, but the latest patch and subsequent emergency patch actually has poeple PvPing there now. Give them some more time and they will introduce some amazing new content. As far as Ilum goes, the biggest downfall is the population imbalance on most serves. Keep up the good work Bioware!
