  1. I understand there are different ages of people playing the game. But, if you are an adult, I cannot understand why you think $10 (what was cited in one of the surveys) for many hours' entertainment is charging too much. Going to a movie generally costs more, and lasts less than 2 hours. It takes resources to develop the game, and I'd be happy to pay $10 (or some other reasonable charge) every few months if it means BW is able to produce story-driven content and build TOR into what it still can be, a really fun, story-based MMO. Once the servers are fixed, and a LFG tool is added, both coming shortly, all they need is new content updates like this. And, again, unless you are young, please don't cite the subscription as something it isn't, a huge fee. It's roughly 50 cents a day.
  2. Agreed. That is something substantial, content-wise, in a feature patch. Hope BW does this!
  3. I realize 1.3 has been stated to be a feature-heavy patch, but, for those of us who are sticking with the game and are loyally even promoting it to people we know, it would be nice to have some sort of new content thrown our way too. I would think a mission for HK would be perfect. It's not as complicated as implementing ranked WZs, or as intricate as a new set of daily missions, flashpoint, or operation. It would just be something simple to add into the game that would liven the spirits of those of us who continue to have high hopes for the game and are a little saddened by its current state, i.e. so many servers on life support and the endgame being unfinished. If anyone from Bioware reads this, please consider including some new content in 1.3. HK I think would not only excite longtime fans of KOTOR, but would also spark the community alive in the way the recent event did, i.e. something new and cool everyone could appreciate and enjoy.
  4. I am starting a Bounty Hunter, having become a little bored with endgame on my Jedi Shadow. Is the leveling experience very different on the Imperial side, in terms of the planets one goes to, the order, etc.? Basically, I'd like to pursue an alternate character with a storyline as different as possible as from the Jedi Shadow I've played for the past 3.5 months, and found the other Republic classes had too similar a progression to them, though no doubt the storyline content is unique. So far, Hutta has been quite enjoyable and different. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  5. I've been at level 50 for roughly 1.5 months now, having started the game in late January, i.e. took my time to enjoy the leveling experience and story, which I thought was quite excellent. I am a fan of Star Wars in general, and, despite the flaws many people post about, appreciate this game and all the work that went into and continues to go into it from the developers. That said, I am now starting to get bored at endgame. Our guild is perhaps a little more casual than some, but we still do ops regularly and have leveled our gear appropriately. PVP was fun for some time, but I am growing weary of playing the same 4 warzones, with the predictability of outcomes on my server. I appreciated the new daily missions which were added in 1.2, but one can hardly expect to be motivated to continue enjoying the game based on daily missions. My question to the community is: what would you recommend? Again, I am not someone bashing the game. In fact, I really like it. I just have been finding it hard to enjoy lately, and wondering if I should simply unsubscribe for a time until a lot of new content is added. I've begun a new character on the imperial side, to see the content that was missed playing republic, but it is not what I expected, i.e. I'm not really enjoying leveling another character the way I did my initial one. I created a couple of alts on the republic side, but found going through the same planets in the same order, well, underwhelming, i.e. I expected there to be more varience in the leveling between classes. Should a player such as myself simply wait for an expansion pack or patches with new content?
  6. I completely agree. There are also imbalances between factions on some servers. On mine, the Imperial side is far ahead of the Republic in gear, and possibly in player motivation, and simply wins many more matches accordingly. The changes that were put in place yesterday allow for individuals on a losing side to still be rewarded properly, if they play well for the team as well as earn medals for themselves. I don't believe this is a "trophies for everyone" policy, as some have suggested. In the long run, it will balance the matches better, with both factions geared similarly, i.e. the barrier to entry for players on an imbalanced server is now more fair for the generally losing side. This will make the matches more competitive and engaging for everyone.
  7. Will the schematic from PVP boxes be capable of making a PVE +41 End crystal? if so, can I get this schematic and give it to someone in my guild who can make crystals? Regarding keeping up with various game updates, not everyone has the chance to read all messages related to deadlines in the game. I understand they announced the vendor would be gone post 1.2, but I simply did not come across this message. I'd bought a Cyan +44 power for my companion, and, if I'd known, I would have gotten the endurance one for myself on time. I am also completely fine with players now crafting Cyan and other crystals. Unfortunately, nobody on my server (Mind Trick), one that is populated quite decently, is doing so. And, since the crystal is now rare, when someone finally does post them for sale on the GTN, the price will be many times what it was from the vendor. This is frustrating for a reasonably dedicated player, one who enjoys the game and simply wants a color crystal of choice. I don't think I am the only one who feels this way. I think BW should reintroduce the fleet geologist, save for the very expensive crystals that were introduced to take credits out of the economy, until players are actually crafting these items.
  8. I was hoping to find a Cyan PVE +41 Endurance crystal post 1.2. There don't seem to be any on sale on our server (Mind Trick) GTN, if they are now availing through crafting. The fleet geologist made it possible to purchase these crystals at a nominal fee, unlike others such as the white. Why was the geologist removed, other than to encourage players to spend their credits on legacy unlocks? And how can I get a Cyan PVE color crystal now? I understand BW wishes to move the game forward in the way they see as best, but I can't understand why the decision was made to take away the cheaper crystals from a vendor if they aren't being made through crafting. I enjoy this game very much, and would appreciate some input on this matter, either from other players or a developer.
  9. Must one be valor rank 60 to use the open slot BM robes that can now be crafted? I like the look of them for the shadow class (white, hooded robe), and wanted to use one for PVE by putting my current armor/mod/enhancement into it. Someone in my guild can make it. Is it possible for me to equip it? I am only valor 34, as a casual PVP player before patch 1.2. Would really appreciate some input...
  10. Hi All, I've leveled a Shadow to 50 and been going through some different armor looks with the character, while upgrading to endgame armor/mods/etc. I realized I loved the Jawa Cloak I picked up on Tatooine a long time ago and sold by accident. It was simple and looked very "Jedi". Is there any way I can get one still? It's never on the GTN, and the mission for it wasn't heroic/repeatable. Any advice on how I can get a Jawa Cloak would be greatly appreciated. Maybe ask someone for a trade on Tatooine? Thanks - and hope you are having as much fun with this game!
