  1. It's actually a 1.5% chance to drop 3/3 of the same item for a specific class (the helm in your case), not 6%. Which goes to show, something is off behind the scenes.
  2. You will never make everyone happy. You don't need three tiers of difficulty. THis causes delays in content, bugs, and gear inflation of epic proportions. When WoW was at it's peak, it didn't have "difficulty" levels. It had one, a RAID. Raids are supposed to be hard, not for casuals that will whine about EVERYTHING that causes them a little delay, or makes them try to think to overcome a situation. Two tiers, because it's already too late to go to one, would be much more efficient than three and allow them to make more content, faster, with more mechanics.
  3. Chances of the same three pieces of gear dropping: Assuming the chances are equal for each class, 100/4 = 25% So, using probability, the chances of three of the same peices are (.25)^3 = 0.0156 0.015 = 1.5% chance to drop the same three pieces of tier in the same, single fight... it happens so much more than that it possibly cannot be attributed to being completely random. Something else is behind the scenes messing with drop rates. Or, I am completely wrong because it's early and I am still hung over a little bit.
  4. Any good PvP'ers go for healers first. So of course you will be targeted. Ask for guard, and ALWAYS stay with the group. Try to LOS when you can, and keep moving.
  5. Wut? There is one part to a taunt in PvP. Taunts in PvP just reduce damage of the enemy player on any target but you. How can you have threat in PvP? That doesn't even make any sense... If you think threat is in PvP, you don't know understand what threat is.
  6. These are good points. Two more things. Our threat is low and our mitigation is not where it needs to be as well. We need a boost in those two areas. If they do not scale our threat better, or increase our baseline damage in immortal, DPS will be pulling off of us in the 1.2 raid, because they scale with new gear much better than we do. Bioware already stated jugg mitigation is not where it needs to be, but has done nothing to fix it. So, I don't know what is coming for us.
  7. That isn't grammar, that is spelling. They are two different things. Nice try though. Thanks for playing.
  8. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#101cMG0uZIhMRMhzdMM.1 My hybrid PvP/PvE spec. I PvE more than I PvP, so it's more tank friendly. Plus, Invincible is godly and I can go Shien form for DPS.
  9. I don't even PvP, but I know that auto-facing abilities would kill PvP
  10. one warrior set piece dropped..... no weapons either Something is not right here... thats not RNG
  11. There is already a game that gives the best gear to people who do nothing... go play that one
  12. We just need more threat gen. We dont scale as well as DPS do in threat generation. A full Rakata DPS will pull off of a Rakata tank, easily.
  13. I agree that 50-70 people is a little crazy. I think WoW hit the nail on the head when they transitioned from 40-man raids to 25-man raids. 25 people is not too few for the encounter to seem trivial, and not too many that it's impossible to get together relatively easily. I would say that the target number for a MMO raid should be 20-30 people.
  14. Casuals rule the MMO world, unfortunately. It's not always time that allows someone to be successful in an MMO, its intelligence and efficiency. It may take you four hours to do something I can do in one, but because there are more people taking four hours than one, they have more power and, ultimately, more pooled subscription money. People equate success in an MMO with elitism, which just isn't true. Anyway, we will not see a return to hardcore MMO gaming anytime soon. I am not refering to more "grinding". Grinding is a lazy way to avoid quest development, mostly seen in the Asian MMO world. Even Blizzards next-gen MMO "Titan" is already described by them as casual focused
  15. Not cross-server. That already killed another game I will not mention here
  16. Bioware, this is a serious issue that hurts end-game raiding. Tonight, I was tanking NM EV, died, took a battle rez and was resurrected OUT of the instance... Not only was that frustrating, but my group killed the boss, which lead to my biggest issue, NO LOOTING for me. Now, there are two issues here: 1.) Batte rezes porting you out. Big problem, needs to be fixed now 2.) The BIGGEST problem of them all. I could NOT loot the boss because of this. Why, oh WHY in the world would you make it so you have to be IN the instance to loot? If I am part of the Operations group, why the hell can I not loot? I am speechless as to a reason why you would develop your end-game Operations like this. I really have no explanation for it, other than a critical oversight by your team. It blows my mind as to why you would put this limitation on an Operation.
  17. I doubt you even played vanilla WoW, if you are in school. THis was 7 years ago and you were probobly in junior high school.
  18. In other words... you wanted the game to come out in 2015 and cost $200 million more dollars?
  19. First MMO launches... not for everyone
  20. Yeah, seems so. He just described every MMO ever created. Here's an idea OP. Since this thread is so generic, go to every forum of every MMO and make this title [ThisMMO] isn't going to last long
  21. Two rebuttals and one fact: 1.) It sounds like you have only run normal Operations. This is not endgame. Get more experience before you try to speak about something. Hardmode and NM do not auto assign loot. 2.) Cross-server LFG tool killed WoW's sense of community and is destroying it slowly. Same server LFG tool would be fine. 3.) WoW developers have made ZERO, ZILCH, 0, NADA addons for that game. It is all community built and maintained using LUA. You are ignorant.
  22. As long as it isnt cross server, I see no problem with a flashpoint finder
  23. The fact that you think SWG was the greatest game ever makes me laugh at your post. Bye Bye
