  1. I've been following it since 2006 and play occasionally. Just waiting patiently for v1.0 to finally drop.
  2. Anyone know what made our home blow up?
  3. The last true MMO I played was Star Wars Galaxies. Ironic.
  4. There's already a thread with over 150 replies in it covering this topic... Why create another thread?
  5. Can you gain experience and reach level max without paying for (or using) experience boosts? Yes? Then the game's not P2W. Learn what the phrase, "Pay to win," actually means before throwing it around. If, for example, the Cartel Market was selling raid-tiered gear that you could just buy instead of loot in a raid, THAT would be P2W.
  6. His point wasn't just about cutting out going to the movies. It was just to show, in general, that the game can be easily paid for in most cases by simply cutting out another expense that isn't a necessity.
  7. Hey all, I recently moved to Harbinger from Pot5 not long ago when the discounted transfers started being offered. I have 4 Imp 60s and 3 Pub 60s (finishing my 4th one right now), so I'm looking for a home for all 8 of my characters and my GF's characters, as well. I've been playing the game actively since closed beta, and up until this point, I had been in 2 guilds that I had been in during my SWG days on the Flurry server, although both have been dead for the last 1-2 years in SWTOR with usually just me logging in each day. So far, I've been super excited to be on Harbinger, mainly due to how populated the server is, seeing all the different planetary instances in use and whatnot. Pot5 was pretty horrid in all aspects - population, community, ping (since I live on the west coast), PvE, etc, and I was only there because that's where my guilds went at the time. So what I'm looking for are 2 really organized, 18+, down to earth, and active guilds (with 10% Rep & XP preferably) with a sense of humor that participate in ALL aspects of the game, especially Conquest and Operations since, like I said, the 2 guilds I've been in this whole time have been dead the last few years, so I haven't been able to fully explore those aspects of the game. I'm also looking for guilds that have a fairly high number of late-nighters who play anywhere from 10 PM to 4 AM PST, not just during peak hours. That's about it really. If anyone can also provide a link to a list of active guilds on Harbinger, I'd appreciate that too. Thanks!
  8. Yea $0.50 per day is waaaay too much. Brb while I go buy my $6 Starbucks.
  9. What I want to know is what happens if we haven't maxed out our affection/finished companion missions fully across our characters? I've only done the above on my main character out of 9 total.
  10. Unfortunately, Pot5 is one of the worst servers for population, which sucks even more for me because I live on the west coast and it's an east coast server. I'm just here because this is where a lot of the Flurry guilds, including mine, transferred to during the merges a long time ago, but I've been the only active person in DFR for about a year now lol.
  11. This game has been a stun-fest from day 1... You're just realizing this? lol
  12. I'm still waiting on this super server thing BW mentioned a while back so I don't have to spend a ridiculous 15k CC to transfer -_-
  13. I went Pot5 during the first server merges because that's where the guild went. Fast forward to now: guild's completely dead, and I'm stuck on a dead east coast server when I'm based in the west coast. /sigh
  14. It would, but it probably would be F2P in some way by now since that is the trend with current MMOs. It had a stable player base at the end that in no way constituted a shut down like Tabula Rasa (or other MMOs in that situation). It was shut down because of this MMO. LucasArts pulled the plug because even though they're two entirely different kinds of MMOs set in the SW universe, having both would segregate the community, meaning less subs for both games, thus leading to SWG's shutdown to force as many SWG players here as possible and consolidate the SW fanbase into one area.
  15. PVP is mostly what I find myself wanting to play when I log in just because I don't want to commit to the length of an op, but my main gripe with PVP (other than my main being a marauder, so I suck), is the ridiculous amount of CC. PVP shouldn't have been designed around that at all... It breaks the flow and what I like to call the "satisfying" factor of combat that PVP in other games has. Not saying CC shouldn't be in the game, just toned down... a lot, or at least make the CC immunity last longer.
  16. With this update, I feel like I found someone to run to the store for me to pick up a sugar free energy drink (because of muh diabeetus) and they came back with packets of sugar. That analogy made sense to me, and that's all that counts
  17. Congrats! Now go write more class stories. Naow.
  18. Gotcha, ty. I don't play healer classes much in MMOs at all and never have, so the only other benefit I could come up with, other than what you said, was that I'd get a lot of practice healing in lower level pvp and flashpoints to prepare for 60/ranked pvp and raid healing rather than just throwing myself into the fire.
  19. Hey all, I made a post about this in one of the stickies above, but it doesn't seem like that thread really gets looked at anymore, so I'm basically pasting that post here. I'm about to finish leveling my merc since he's been sitting around at level 35 for months and months and was wondering if it's viable to level with the Bodyguard discipline. I haven't played him since way before 3.0, but he was originally intended to be my healer character (for pvp and eventually raids). Should I level using Arsenal and then switch at 60, or just go with Bodyguard the whole way?
  20. I'm about to finish leveling my merc since he's been sitting around at level 35 for months and months and was wondering if it's viable to level with the Bodyguard discipline. I haven't touched him since way before 3.0, but he was originally intended to be my healer character. Should I level using Arsenal and then switch at 60, or just go with Bodyguard?
  21. While we're on the topic, anyone have recommendations for augments for pvp? Can't decide if power or main stat is the way to go.
  22. /sign... I'd do anything to get off Pot5, but I'm not paying 1800 x 8 characters. I live on the west coast, so I deal with more lag than the usual player by playing on an east coast server, which I'm stuck on because that's where my guild went when the game launched and after the big server consolidation a few years back. Since my guild is dead and has been forever, I have no reason to stay. Not to mention it's probably the worst server of them all. Lucky me.
  23. I wish it could be more of a focus for me, but on Pot5, most of the time I'm queued for hours without a pop. It sucks.
  24. I'll be there. Been wanting to do more GSF lately but can never get any pops. Kilcoyne is my IGN.
