  1. There's one more difference I noticed right away. After playing to 35 with a gunslinger, I rolled an agent/sniper. The frag grenade of the Imp Agent does more damage than the whatever kind of grenade the Gunslinger gets. I will look it up and append/modify this post for actual stats. It really feels and does more damage on the Imp side.
  2. my gunslinger sometimes goes into cover-mode and slides across the floor. Graphical glitch. There are lots of them. People need to know what they're talking about before accusing others of cheating. and yeah, people get upset when they lose. That's no surprise.
  3. as a GM of a new guild, I let everyone set their own notes, and encourage them to list alts or crafting skills. Yes, the GM has the ability to allow anybody and everybody set those notes. So talk to your GM. We started a new guild becase we never saw our GM to even ask. Absentee landlord with power issues.
  4. That would work except you are not alone in the beginning of a warzone, and if everyone doesn't spacebar through...you'll just see the "waiting for other players" message instead. Even more dull. Doubt this can or will happen.
  5. well that explains the weird new armor choices.
  6. C'mon y'all, you're just being mean. The OP is obviously not a native English speaker. However, you are all right in one thing; It is very hard to know what IT it is he is asking about. I don't know either. So let's stop making fun...but really, OP, please...which IT were you referring to? The game cost $59.99 US at launch. Dont know what it is today. The game cost $14.99 per month subscription after using your free 30 days that come in the box. As for what things cost ingame, boy thats' just a can of worms I can't begin to explain. You start the game with 0 credits (Credits are what passes for currency - the main one anyway-) and 2 medpacks and the shirt on your back. Everything else, you find a way to make by work, play or whatever. I hope I've helped.
  7. Are they hearing us? I don't know. Here's what I do know: Many, many female chars are played by males, and they wear "slave girl outfit". Yeah right, she's going to DIE in that outfit because it doesn't protect anything, not even from mosquito bites. What does that matter? 1. If people have a vote, and there are more men playing (and voting) than women, we're going to get a lot of armor that covers nothing and leaves nothing to the imagination, not to mention it wouldn't qualify as armor or even as a sexy dress in the bedroom IRL. There is no accounting for the female players at all. When I see a female char in a slave girl outfit I KNOW the player behind it is male, and he's using SW:tor as a replacement for soft ****. I don't want available armor based on that demographic. 2. The "artists" who developed that last bit of endgame armor told me one thing: they hired a bunch of kids just out of art school, and the average age of their art/design dept. for armor is 22. It might look good in a death metal concert, but it isn't star wars, won't ever be star wars. Hell, the stuff they put out looks like you'd get stuck on doorknobs every time you walked by one (or anything else that stuck out). 3. Fine by me. More pants. BUT...AND I MEAN BUT!!! I do not want my female Jedi looking like she's wearing a cup, okay? That's just 100 ways of wrong. And the only other option I can find makes it look like someone jwent nuts with an ace bandage. Come on! Really? Can't they eliminate the "junk bump" for females? I can't bring myself to even play that char. I only keep her because of her crafting skills. Finally: 4. What gives with the cost of pulling a mod/armor being more than the armor/mod itself? I mean...???? What? I have thrown away more perfectly good armor/mods/enhancements because I could not bring myself to pay the RIDICULOUS amounts required to pull it. Now that my char's over 50 I don't know what to do... I don't want to grind dailies just to be able to change gear because pulling the darn mods out is so expensive! Why did it go up exponentially toward endgame? Suddenly you're lvl 50 and your rich? The economy in this game is so broken, but that's another thread. If I want to play by the rules, and not grind, I cannot afford half what this game has "to offer." I cannot be a jedi and be kind. I Have to screw everyone for max credits to look/drive/whatever. Sheesh. Money sinks? In armor?? No wonder there are gold farmers. The economic model of this game just about encourages it. /signed unhappy with the current state of armor.
  8. --What I see over and over in about 50 different ways: an "align" tool. Align to another object. Snap to grid. Etc. --Being able to link items together so if you move one, you move all linked. --COPY to clipboard from chat window (so U can easily check a url when someone posts one I'm sure i can think of others but this would help.
  9. I'm getting FLOODED with the schems for those lightsabers. All of them. I've started putting them in the guild bank free to a good home..but everyone already has them. BIOWARE: STOP with the orange, un -reverse engineerable lightsaber schems...tone it down to 10% of the rate they're dropping at now and start dropping other things, like rare crystals schems or those biochem exotech schems that someone else posted about earlier. Sheesh. It's either all or nothing.
  10. Roll a pure healer and adverstise as such. I don't have to look for groups. They look for me. I get asked out o fthe blue all the time. Seer sage. Be an in-demand class.
  11. I also did this with a heal-spec seer sage. Go get Theran. 1. He casts Holiday which is one of the best companion stuns you have 2. he heals you so you can concentrate on Stark or whomever 3 sometimes he gets the last shot. He did that today...for me...it was a headshot on the main boss that brought him down, after keeping me and my team healed while we all damaged, and keeping one person out of the fight with Holiday The fight was nearly trivial after bringing Theran. I've learned a thing... if you have to board another ship, or a station or whatever, Bring Theran. It's my rule and it's worked great. There's a time and a place for every companion. Theran has Holiday and she's priceless.
  12. /signed I love the voice. Just have the actor call me on the phone and we'll talk. Melt. I also love the no-nonsense brevity and he's a crack shot. Iresso is not at all interesting. He's a boy. Please, bioware, write a romance arc for him for us females who aren't interested in the boy next door (in farmland usa). Please?
  13. reaaly? while I'm hanging in the air? The minute he drops me, the roof drops. then he disappears.
  14. ^ this. Once he force lifts us, then he drops the ceiling and we're dead. So is this some sort of enrage timer?
  15. whenever someone from the sith side (or even the rep side) tries to make comparisons they're always quick to throw in all the shadow or balance skills. But a seer sage pure healer DOES NOT HAVE those balance skills, nor do they have most of the telekinetic skills. If they did, they'd not be a top level healer. Totally, I agree this is a huge issue. But, for all those who would rathter pwn us, than be honest, they will never admit there's a problem because they are counting on the delays and weaknesses to make their bones. Fact is, on a level playing field, they might find out they're not as elite as they think they are. they're just taking advantage of an inherent bias in their favor. Some eliteness that is. I have no respect for that. You say they're equal? You build a Seer Sage to lvl 50, and a Inquisitor to 50 and give me times. Show me the figures. And I'll show you a coward who would rather win with lightning than face the truth they aren't as great as they believe. The bias toward empire in this is a fact. Not an opinion. Oh, an dshock lasts longer too. And seer sages cannot conjur balanace and telekinetic powers to make up for it. But just wait. Some day you'll want a real healer...an we won't be playing one because we've been ignored too long. Then you'll die and pay for armor repairs. Hah. Seer sage/lvl 50. Also have a Sith Inquisitor.
  16. Yeah I noticed that. And when you first load a character, their health bar on the lower left is empty. ? Weirdness. But I did notice what you're saying about all friendlies being red. I was wondering about that. However, it does let me heal a companion which if he were truly counted as an enemy, I couldn't. So there's a mixup at some intermediate level there too.
  17. Not true. Most of the items require some of the treasure hunting mats, and they simply are not available to harvest in the world. I have a lvl 400 artifice and another one I'm bringing up on the Imp side and I assure you, without some TH mats, you can't make squat. I agree. Wholeheardedly. I will NEVER buy all the schems avail at the vendor. I simply will never need all of them on any particular char. I only buy what I use. Quite true.
  18. Well I see 2 problems right here I usually have my first speeder before I leave Taris (in the Rep side) because I a) fight most everything and b) do most of the quests including the bonus series. I am usually a level or two over, even if I don't do space, pvp or flasphoints, because I actually fight. And the loot drops, gray green or whatever, get vendored. It adds up. Don't leave loot lying around (I've seen people do it). Skipping mobs and stealthing means missing a lot of credits and a lot of xp. 2. You cannot make Most artifice items without running at least a few Treasure Hunting missions, because the mats from treasure hunting are not available in the world to be harvested. There are no Tatooine Flame Gems, Sunstones, etc. nodes. So what people are telling you about not running anything but lockbox missions means you cannot craft even basic blue mats in Artifice. Do not spend a lot re'ing however. If you make 5 -10 tries with no luck, stop. Try later. You're on a bad streak and wasting your money. I usually get a positive re result in 3-5 tries. Or I try later. And you don't' need every recipe purple. You're trying to make up for in gear what you lack in XP. If you're on Alderaan already and you still don' thave a speeder, you are also probably woefully underleveled and getting killed all the time. So you try to make up with it with gear. No. That's just as costly as dying. Go back to Tatooine and pick up the bonus series and KILL THOSE DARNED RAKGHOULS! Don't try to make up for being under leveled by tryiing to make better gear. I can run in rags (greens drops) if I'm over by 2 levels because I don't die. (this applies to leveling under 50). You're broke because you are trying to rush through content and then make up for it by crafting better gear to make up for your character's weakness. Your char should not get off tatooine without a speeder. Heck, you should have a speeder by the time you hit the Taris bonus series. If you're actually clearing content and not running around it. You're not doing yourself any favors for endgame either, and the game will get progressively harder and harder for you until you are too frustrated to play. And you'll respec ever 3 days thinking it's your point allocation when in fact it's your lack of XP. (I've seen this happen firsthand). That player couldn't kill any of his class bosses or sub-bosses by level 47. He just didn't have it in him. And he was already on Ilum before he hit lvl 50. I hit lvl 50 when I got to Voss. Maybe the extreme the other way, but I don't usually have to ask for help either. And I can usually solo Heroic 2's. Your problem is not a shortage of money, it's that you're taking too many shortcuts. Go back and actually face some enemies and fight and kill and take the loot. Get more xp. The rest will drop in your lap and you won't die (saving you credits) and you won't need better gear because you' will have more inherent strength. I see this all the time. This game is not so much about the "destination" as it is the "journey". People who are used to just whizzing through content to get to lvl 50 because they think that's wher ethe game starts don't realize one thing: Bioware is not a long-time maker of MMO's. It's a long time maker of single-player rpg's. And the content along the way is king. You really need to go back and actually play the areas you skipped through (stealthed). You'll never have enough money until you're the right level for your content, because repeair bills don't get cheaper as you get higher level. Trust me.
  19. Rich missions. I got 2 yesteday on one misison. Along with 18 of oen of the parts and a lockbox.
  20. All this sounds a whole lot like someone who used to be in my guilld who got mad about the plague, got mad about being 'forced' to participate (by getting infected) and then got angry that nobody told him he could get great rewards for those dna samples. Shame on us for not holding his hand telling him. I learned right away and had 2 chars do the quests and get enough for 4 crystals. Well, I said as much and the guy quit our guild. Oh well. I don't think he reads this forum or he would have known about it.
  21. Has this guide been updated now that 1.2 is live? The new recruit gear and things sorta changes things up a bit. What's changed for 1.2?
  22. been hit by lightning. Not recommended.
  23. I guess I tend to be one of the lucky ones. I usually make only 3. I made 10 of something today and managed to get all 3 purple varieties in that 10. And then made 3 of the purples and got a 2nd level purple. Even more awesomely, once I got the schematic for the purple "Commander/General/whatever" level of the purple...I only made one and Kira critted on it and it had an augment slot! I say awesome. I don't know why, but I routinely do better than the odds on re'ing. Not always. It's like gambling. If you're having an unlucky streak, STOP. Try again later. Know when to hold em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away.... There's the best advice for anything that has "chance" in it. If I don't RE a blue or purple in 5 tries, I go do something else until my luck seems to change. Given that, Kira seems to crit a lot. And for some odd reason, so does Zenith doing artifice (though there's no documented rating for it - he crits about 1 in 5 times). For Artifice, that means 2 for the price of 1. I have not done extensive recordkeeping on this, and I suppose I could... but that's pretty boring. Just know, if you're going past 20, you're on an unlucky streak and it's really time to cut your losses or crafting just gets too expensive. I never try more than 10. Mostly I do 5. Sometimes only 3. Often actually. Today was one of my good days. Some days aren't. There is no such thing as truly random numbers on computers either. Not sure, but maybe not in life either. The occurrence of randomness is a very complicated mathematical discussion by itself.
