  1. That deflect skill idea ain't bad, but generally all my saber tends to do is wiggle in my hand. Seriously BW?
  2. Why must you quote my entire post? /cry So what I got out of your post is "don't suck and this becomes not needed" but what if I do suck? I played my Sin THEN my Jugg (Not reverse as you might guess since this is about jumps and people who want jumps might be used to a Warrior), and I found the Jugg about 10x easier to get into combat to start dealing damage/getting agro than the Sin who was left trying to get to places to slash things. Come on, not everybody is as awesome as you. I really think this is needed. Oh and did I mention I don't give a you know what about PVP balance? Don't PVP, never will, hate it. I always look at things from a PVE perspective, and the melee based Asassin/Shadow getting late to the party frustrates me.
  3. Guys that's not at all what I meant. Make either an attack where you throw your saber, like Knight/Warrior, or make the Sage/Sorc basic attack have a 30m range and turn into a throw. Like with a passive. Something like adding Saber Strike to Force Reach, so it has the same (weak) effect, but is a ranged attack. Maybe do the same with Double Strike/Thrash to it as well.
  4. So am I the only one who finds it really silly that Sage/Sorcerer has no *real* abilities that use the Lightsaber? It's just a "stat stick". You can argue that the base Consular/Inquisitor saber abilities are there, but once you become a Sage/Sorcerer you cease really having a use for those. Why heal or DPS at melee when you can be relatively safe at 30m? I personally took the saber attacks off my bar when I saw how they didn't mesh with my class anymore. All my heals or damaging skills are 30m. Not only does this mean Sage/Sorcerer doesn't have a use for their basic free attack, but using it actually puts them in a position they don't *really* want or need to be in. It also means there's basically no skill to use when you're out of Force to recover a little, and you either have to hurt yourself or stand there to potentially let the tank die or the other DPS attack while you stand there all useless because your basic attack can't do anything at your best range. Meanwhile Knights/Warriors got the ability to throw their saber with the expansion. Really? A melee class using a long ranged attack? I'm told at most it gets used once at it's maximum range, and besides they have their jump to get into melee range or to "pull" stuff and agro it to start fights. Sure it's based on the Knight from KOTOR, but Sage/Sorc is the real ranged Force class and they don't have any damaging Force abilities that actually do something with the saber. The saber just sits in their hand the entire fight. Can Sages/Sorcerers at least get a passive that turns their basic attack into a weak saber throw to be able to do something with the saber and also to do something in the "downtime" when their Force runs down to nothing? It does happen in really long fights. Please?
  5. It's a melee class first and foremost. Sure it has 10m skills, but look at the other melee or pseudo melee classes in comparison. The pseudo melee Vang/PT can at the very least shoot a 30m basic attack to start a fight from 30m, and has a couple other long ranged attacks from the base class. This provides easy agro generation from the start of fights as well since they don't need to peel mobs/bosses of a ranged dps who starts the fight. Vagn/PT get an actual jump ability but it's only in one of the trees, and they get a pull to ability as a base class ability. Both of these classes can get enemies into their 10m optimal range or put themselves into the 10m range. The full melee Knight/Warrior mirrors can start a fight from 10 to 30m with their jump and get into their damage dealing melee zone easily every 15 seconds. What does Shadow/Assassin get? Force Speed which requires actually running and aiming, doesn't go over low obstacles, lasts only 2 seconds, and has a cooldown of 20 seconds. In the tanking tree they can also earn a pull to ability, which is good but only in the tank tree. On my Assassin DPS it's extremely frustrating to almost not be able to help during regular fights because people start fights and I have to walk to each target even though I myself haven't started hitting things. I very often get there only see one enemy left or getting killed just as I'm about to attack. I have great DPS but I can't help the party if stuff dies from either the other DPS or the other party members mauling it before I get there. It makes me feel useless. I need to get into melee range to deal damage (The 10m abilities are not really the main damage dealing abilities), and by the time I do stuff is dead or dieing. This is extremely frustrating and Assassin/Shadow needs a Jump To IMHO to bridge the gap into melee range at least every other fight. Please?
  6. Needed to be in the game from the day it went early access. /signed
  7. This is why I support this thread.
  8. I'm in the same situation as you. I want a good and tough BH. I'm forced to put both my Vang and Merc in CM items because I don't like any of the chest pieces (Relaxed Uniform for Vang and Fancy Reveler for Merc). They either make you look like a b00b-robot or just a robot. I can't stand looking at it at all. Maybe I could get used to Clan Varad, if I would be lucky enough to get the drop down the line. But all the other non-Jugg chest pieces suggested had me going "Ew no, just make a dude because that looks pretty much male." Just my 2 cents here.
  9. Or maybe give Merc an extra passive that modifies non-tree shared abilities? With this there it's like Merc has -1 passive since this one is there that 90% (or more) of people don't use.
  10. Re-posting from Suggestion Box. I made a Ticket about this, but since I know I will get told to post here anyway I thought I would just get the ball rolling. What do you guys think? Also if I stop replying it's because my sub ran out, since it ends around Saturday and I'm not renewing. The Mercenary Passive ability Propulsion System (And it's complementary Commando mirror) seems pretty useless. Increasing the range of 2 Skill Tree abilities that are shared between the two Advanced Classes? Really? That would be fine, but to even get these you need to go deep into the Rightmost tree, and I thought most Bounty Hunters/Troopers take the Leftmost or Middle trees. Why do we have this? Why not have those two abilities have a range of 30 by default and replace Propulsion Systems with something that modifies the functionality of normal shared Bounty Hunter abilities like passives for other Advanced Classes do? Mercenary/Commando is the only Advanced Class I have seen so far that gets a class passive that modifies the function of shared abilities that have to be gotten from the Skill Tree. That gives the class a disadvantage when it comes to passives when compared to other classes, which have passives that either modify normal non-tree shared abilities or give entirely new functions like Dual Wield. Please consider folding Propulsion System into the tree skills themselves and give Mercenary/Commando a useful passive that modifies the function of shared Bounty Hunter/Trooper abilities like with other classes.

  12. Wow, 1.2 isn't even officially up yet and you're calling it history? Heh. Anyway the stuff you put is ok (Against server merges though), but my number one request is being able to edit character looks (Except gender, duh) after character creation. It's silly to think that in such a technologically advanced age they don't have plastic surgery.
  13. When will we ever be able to change character looks, outside of character creation? Like say I would like to add a scar to my character later or say she gained weight. I can't currently do that. Please, can this be answered? I try every week with no luck.
