  1. I swear, Sith Wyrm wasn't on the list when I made my last post. -.-
  2. So why aren't all origin servers considered "qualifying" servers for rewards? Our entire guild transferred over from Sith Wyrm to Corellian Run, but it looks like we're going to miss out, just because our server wasn't chosen to give rewards to transfers? Not to mention the other hundreds of people who moved made the same exodus from Sith Wyrm? It just seems like kind of a raw deal... :/ EDIT: Actually, it looks like none of the servers which feed Corellian Run are "qualified" for rewards. I'd really like to know what process led to that decision. It just seems silly to ostracize an entire subset of your playerbase.
  3. Er... that is exactly the point of making them bind on augmentation.
  4. I hate to say it, but this is nothing new for MMORPGs. For a while, WoW was the same way, and RIFT still is. Some DDO mechanics, too, and others I can't remember off the top of my head. Bottom line: It's not easy to come up with original, non-redundant mechanics that force AoE and/or spot healing and don't make life more difficult for the melee DPS over the ranged DPS. I haven't noticed it as badly here, because I main heals in SWTOR, but it'd be nice if some of the mob-centric AoE mechanics could be toned down slightly in favor of more challenging mechanics to keep ranged players on their toes. The last boss of the Heroic Black Hole quest is a pretty good mechanic, except that guy's so weak it's hardly a challenge for two decently-geared players. The only one that REALLY sucks is G4-B3. Sunday night ran an ops with no ranged DPS, just because of who happened to be online at the time, and it's just a monster. Something needs to be done about that fight.
  5. I've been playing RIFT all morning. Not really perturbed. I'll get in on Wave 4 unless something breaks horribly (9/11 here), so I'm just waiting it out.
  6. This is actually not nearly as true as you think it is. The terms "trade secrets" and "intellectual property" are labeled as such for a reason. When you pre-ordered, you were told you would get UP TO five days of early access. We are currently six days before launch. Life is too short to spend it whining on forums about things to which you are not actually entitled.
  7. I would be absolutely stunned if, within 6 months, these changes were not made. WoW eventually did this with their Need/Greed system. RIFT eventually did this with their Need/Greed system. It's the only sensible solution, but it's more of a luxury feature that devs don't have high on their priority list right at the launch of a game.
  8. I don't particularly care what he did or did not say. I was merely pointing out that the accuser has failed to realize that even if he did say "most people will get in today," the day is very far from over.
  9. As far as I can tell, there are still 14 hours left in "today."
  10. 16 hours? That's interesting, considering NOBODY got access until 3 hours ago.
