  1. There was a previous topic about someone who misspelled their legacy name, they tried deleting all of their characters on the server, but when they made a new one the legacy was still present. It's possible they were trolling. I haven't tried it myself. General consensus from that thread was you had to roll on a new server if you wanted a different legacy name.
  2. They could change it but you still wouldn't be able to play during the US downtime, as all the US players would be flooding the EU servers causing you to have a queue time as long as the downtime. They picked the time that has the least amount of players playing, globally. It sucks for EU, it sucks for me in the US working 2nd shift, but it makes sense to bring it down at a time that affects the least people.
  3. This person is spot on. I did power 1 character up to unlock my legacy. Then I stopped and rolled a second character. taking the new character to level 20 only gained me 20-25% of a legacy level. I went back and played the original character again. from 34-44 I gained 4 legacy levels. Play the game how you enjoy, it's not going to make any difference in the end.
  4. I'm quoting you just to say that the mod system and orange gear is a recent implementation, it only poked it's head out during the last month of beta (To the extent that it is at now), give it a bit of time. They've said there will be mods in the loot tables, set bonuses will be something else that need to be addressed, perhaps the mods that drop will include the set bonuses. To the rest of the thread. Nothing in MMOs is or should be instant gratification, everything takes time and effort to achieve, having the perfect look shouldn't be any different, just the same as having the perfect stats.
  5. Finish chapter 1 of the story ~ at level 30-34
  6. If you haven't been able to find them on Coruscant, you need to make sure you have them checked to show on your minimap and your map. Then wander around the market area, maybe walk from the market side to the crew skill side.
  7. Slicing is still a great way to make credits. If you go out and gather on your own. You know, just like any of the other gathering skills. Slicing has the added benefit of getting the credits straight up with out having to sell the gathered materials on the GTN.
  8. Must be another one of those hit or miss bugs then. idk, I learned them all. Only thing I can think is that I learned them before hitting 250/260. (The next skill bracket)
  9. This. You can still learn them, they just don't show properly at the trainer. You need to filter all, and click on the 240 ones like you would before hand. My artifice is maxed, with no patterns at the trainer that haven't been learned. Same thing happens for armormech at a lower level. 80 if I recall.
  10. Yes. It's in the preference menu. Nameplates.
  11. You can't move your character off it's current server at all. It doesn't matter if it's from pve to pvp or pve to pve. Why would you assume you could move your character?
  12. You're right I only read the title. Sorry. Based my reply of the title alone, see things like that asked so many times that can be answered by simply opening the map... Many of the specific "orange" gear was removed from vendors, since it was given to crafters to make. So for that item your best bet would be to check the GTM. The pattern will come from underworld trading missions. And will need to be made by a crafter
  13. On fleet. Opposite sides of the Market section. At vendors, labeled Dark and Light Vendor. Use the map, check Vendors on. Mouse over the little icons. Read tooltip.
  14. You don't need to use a mod station. You can add and remove mods from your moddable items, by ctrl+left clicking them, anywhere. I see so many people asking where a mod station is..
  15. I'd just like to see more relics with out a light/dark restriction. I know the DBs show them, but I haven't seen one drop or seen one on the market. Everything relic I see is restricted.
  16. While I agree there is something wrong in the combat. I don't think it's a delay at the start of an ability. To me it feels like it's at the end of the previous ability. First strike is always responsive. To me it feels as if there is an extra cool down at the end of abilities that causes the next ability to not fire. Best example I can give is casting medical probe as a combat medic, first one starts as soon as I hit the button. but I can't cast the second one right when the cast bar is done, it won't fire. I need to wait half a second after the cast bar is finished to cast the second spell.
  17. The prices seem higher, but you make more credits as you level. Big numbers to buy stuff doesn't make it difficult when you make a lot of credits.
  18. They can. My level 19 sage synthweaver already has 2 different orange patterns. I also have a few patterns I'm not able to learn yet. http://www.swtor.com/blog/some-clarifications-item-modifications
  19. /1 is general chat, keep your trade spam in /3 where it belongs.
  20. Empty price field You can avoid this problem by double clicking in the price field, which selects all the text. Don't hit delete first, just start typing your price. When you type in your price it never has a null value, eliminating the 1 being placed in.
