  1. nope, you can't. It even says that while you are making it.
  2. Yes, you can add the name to previously leveled characters. OP is just pointing out that, you earn Legacy Experience, with every point of experience you characters gain. If you level 5 characters up to the point just before picking a legacy. Then finally get it, you have missed much experience for your legacy. Where as, if you level 1 character until you get your legacy, then start with your alts, each alts experience even in the starting levels contributes to your legacy experience.
  3. Really? So you can't go from a Feral DPS druid to a Boomkin with out re rolling? But I do agree with the High fee for respec. It shouldn't be something you swap back and worth on.
  4. Is the gear better then the gear you are wearing (Need)? No, the stats aren't for your class. So you want (greed) it for the way it looks. Your wrong to roll Need on it with out first talking to your group. If the piece is not an upgrade for me, and you asked first, my response would be "Sure, go ahead and grab it". If you Need it without asking the group, welcome to my ignore list, and if I'm group leader enjoy the boot.
  5. If you're reverse engineering the mods, and getting the improved quality ones, (blues/purples) they should be much better then your quest rewards. Reverse engineering is the key to this crafting system.
  6. Don't just sit there waiting for them to happen. Go quest, do pvp, explore for datacrons. I was working on mine some today while I made dinner. Start up some missions, go cook, come back to the pc send my companions back out, rinse and repeat. Crafting is gravy if you do other things.
  7. The GTN doesn't work like an auction tho. You set a price, there is no bidding.
  8. Implementing an appearance tab, hurts the crafting community. You will be able to get any look you want, and keep stats in line. Every style of armor is available as Orange, customizable gear. Yes 4 days before launch you may not get your look, but a few months in once the patterns become readily available the crafters will be kicking out the items people want. This current system is the best of both worlds, it makes crafting useful, there will be demand for the things they make and it lets people pick how their characters gear looks. Yes, you'll have to wait a bit for the economy in the game to get into swing. But in the end, I think this will be a great system for all involved.
  9. Under the default price? You are being way to nice, to the people on your server.
  10. http://www.swtor.com/blog/some-clarifications-item-modifications I like the change, it made crafting better, and appearances more customizable.
  11. Doesn't look like you can anymore. I've been trying to get my hands on an orange crystal, but haven't found any guns, or sabers that you can remove the crystals from, other then the Legendary ones you can buy with commendations, so, that may be the best bet, go blow your commendation badges on sabers with purple/orange, and hope you can learn them that way.
  12. I'm sure it's already planned. There were major changes to the crafting system over the last few weeks. Orange Items had never been slated for crafters, at least not in the quantity that they are now available.
  13. Don't need an appearance tab, the way the crafting system works.
  14. No. You can log off, and they keep going at it. I loaded up one of my companions making 5 purple items, run time was 14minutes per items. I logged off had dinner, came back and they had completed.
  15. Addons will fix it when they come, but honestly it isn't all that bad, just different then what people are used to. I spent the last 45 minutes, before maintenance, searching for, and listing stuff on the GTN. Once I figured out how it worked it wasn't terrible to use.
  16. If you like the look of a green item. Write down the name. You'll have to either make it yourself, or find a crafter that can make it. Refer to the article I linked a few posts above yours. Basically, someone needs to find the pattern for that item, in an orange quality, then name should be similar, so you are able to find a moddable version that has the same look.

  18. You don't get the discovery by building them, you get it by reverse engineering the items you have built. I haven't had any take more then 10, most in the 3-5 range.
  19. You need 27 Gb of space to perform the install. You download compressed files. They are uncompressed on your computer. So for some period of time you have both the compressed file, the uncompressed file, and the installation of that file. After it is installed, the installer cleans up and removes the files that aren't needed anymore leaving you with a 18.5Gb installation folder.
  20. What does it matter to you if other people are level 50?
