  1. Have fun putting a dress on your male toon. That said, I will bite... where is this "dress" purchasable with social 1? Don't say the hutt slave outfit because that is social 2. If you can tell me the vendor that republics have that is like the social vendor Imperials have on Dromund Kaas... I will stand corrected. I am sure you don't hang out on shadaa watching the bikes...so im not surpised you have not seen one used. I used them on two imp toons and had no problems as long as you stay in the middle of the street. My point is still that this is an imperial only perk and republics don't have anything like it. I hope the other two issues do get fixed...and I have already responded to the aoe stun spell after someone pointed out what it was for sages. What is your point here exactly? On my server right now there are 800 Imperials and 120 republic players online...down from the 1400/400 it used to be. My server is not alone in having way more than a 15% difference. Thanks to all that have read the post and taken the time to respond. I can tell you that since last night's patch...I am glad to see the changes to pvp/valor rewards. Even though the BMs are still rolling over us, at least the "slow crawl" of progression I referred to in my original post has sped up a bit. I am hopeful that this will help the overall server population even out some with rank/gear and close the gap by the time war hero gear is introduced. It is still not fun to lose all the time...but it is good to know I am still getting somewhere with these losses. If anyone has more information on planned fixes..etc, please feel free to post them.

  3. Thanks for most of the responses. I stand corrected on the sorc/sage blast away/root issue. I now see that this can be accomplished with kinetic collapse. The other issues still stand. I have a merc and a commando and they definitely do NOT work the same. The same goes for Sage/Sorc and shock/project. For those that say I can gear from a republic side vendor for my light armor wearing male toon at social 1, please let me know where that vendor is. The slave outfit by the way for females is still social 2. For those that said Republic side has advantages over Imperial side...please list them...because my guild and I have not been able to find them playing both factions. As for my not quitting today...I have been in the same guild through various games for 7 years and it is how I keep in touch with a lot of my friends. Plus, I am hopeful that things will get fixed and/or even out in time. I am fine if you don't understand why I am still playing my time out. For the guy that said "L2 Interrupt"...thanks...thats cute. Interrupt has a CD...but thanks for coming out. The spells still do not work the same...interrupted or not. I put IMHO because it is my opinion based on my gameplay and what I see as priorities... which I understand will not be the same as everyone else's...not in any way to insult or negate anything said to the contrary of my post. I truly hope things get adjusted and corrected...and that over time the pvp issue evens out. As I said in my OP, I think the legacy stuff is cool and all. That does not mean that I can not be upset and frustrated by going to ilum for some 16 vs 60 or entering WZs against 8 players in mostly BM gear...both of which slow my pvp valor/gear gains to a painfully slow crawl, and then voice that frustration about not hearing the fixes for those issues. I love the game from levels 1-49...even with the couple of imbalances that affect those levels. Different story at lvl 50 for republic pvpers. Maybe it is just my server...but I see a lot of posts from other servers telling a similar story. P.S. The title of this post was for marketing purposes...to get people to read it. Obviously it is "working as intended"

Maybe I missed some key sentences during what I watched today...but that morning break after the introductions has me thinking this summit was "guided" to skate over the hot topics in an effort to keep things mostly positive so that the masses would get excited about the Legacy and new warzones and whatnot. I am a Republic player that has cancelled my membership...but since I prepaid for 6 months I decided to roll Imperial toons to play out my time. I did not see where anything was going to be directly done to correct the population imbalance. The numbers of imperials to republic players did not look that bad...but I wish they would have posted how many Imperial Battlemasters their are vs Republic Battlemasters. Since I have been playing Imperial...I find perks that they have that led to the problem that is now beyond repair. Again, I will state this is my opinion on things and I have heard all I care to hear from trolls. I was hoping to hear from the Dev team today. I was hoping to see light at the end of the tunnel that would have me thinking I would renew my subscription....I did not. The legacy stuff is really cool and I like it...but it was not something that was broken or a reason to leave the game. In the beginning I heard the head of gaming in Austin say that never before has any company rolled out a patch so large for free, but they are doing it because they want you to feel like the game is worth what you are paying for it. That tells me flat out that they currently know that the masses do NOT feel like the game is worth continuing to pay for. I am not even level 50 on my Imperial toons yet...but here is some things I have found so far that favor the Imperials. I have yet to find anything like this that favors Republic players. Low level Imperials can get mod-able gear from social vendors at social-1 while Republic players have to be social-3 to purchase any. I am talking about gear you can by with like 1200 credits...not the pilot set that takes 60 to 90 fleet comms per piece to buy. For the record, none of my 50s (2 and 2 Imp 50s on the way) are past social-2 On Nar Shadaa, Imperials can ride on "requisitioned" bikes that spawn...getting them to/from quest objectives faster. Republics do not have anything like this available. Civil War - Even if Republics cap the first node a few seconds (up to 5 seconds in WZs i have been in) before Imperials cap a node, the Republic ship ALWAYS takes the first tick of damage. Imperial Mercenary AOE (Death From Above) provides instant damage to the target area while Republic Commando AOE (Mortar Volley) gives Imperials 2 seconds to move from the target area before damage begins. Imperial Sorcerer "Shock" spell (instant cast) provides instant damage while Republic Sage "Project" spell (instant cast) provides damage about 1 second later due to having to wait for the spell graphic to happen. Imperial Sorcerer has a blast away that also roots players....Sages do not. Some other gripes I have but need to do more research on...or would love to hear from those that know for sure.... Population imbalance (which i consider to be a by-product of the items above) has caused irreparable damage to PVP fairness, ability to acquire items on the GM, and any kind of raid progression. On my main Republic toon I am in half Champion and half Centurion gear and Battlemasters 3 shot me all day long...even with my force bubble up. I average 400K heals in WZs and we still get run through as if I wasn't healing at all. ***A side issue for Sorcerers and Sages that are heal spec is that they can sit in a corner, use consumption/noble sacrifice and just heal themselves to pad their healing numbers, and get rewards, that is just broken imo.*** Taking away valor/comm gains in WZ past 4 medals now negatively affects Republic players more since most Imperials have had plenty of opportunity to exploit the pvp imbalance to the point where they are geared Battlemasters. Also the valor caps have me giving up on reaching valor level 60 when coupled with the above (I'm currently valor 56) Imperials have an aoe CC (the one that has you floundering on the floor) and I have seen nothing on the Republic side work like this. This means 2 imperial players could effectively CC 5 or 6 out of the 8 Republic players in WZ between that and the blast away/root spell because we are only given one escape with a long CD. Of course there are less important issues like Imperials getting new ships and ours look like old clunkers and the "Sheep herder in rags" pvp look, and the "Religious School Lunchlady" look of PVE gear for light armor wearers. I see these items posted and discussed/argued/joked about/trolled in the forums on a daily basis. I have yet to see something from the devs in response. Admitting you screwed up would have actually gone a long way with me. To the contrary... ignoring the problems is an insult. As it stands, I am glad I cancelled my subscription.

    You are obviously a troll and a baddie that DID get his gear from the pop imbalance exploit. It is the same players in the 1-49 bracket as the 50 bracket moron. The difference is the gear. The gear is the training wheels, and the security blanket you hide behind. You don't level from 49 to 50 and all the sudden develop (or lose for that matter) skills.

    No response from Devs...no plan to fix the horrible imbalance. I cancelled my subscription to SWTOR. I hope this eventually gets better for those of you staying. Peace.

    Mashtactics, go troll somewhere else. Then you didn't read my whole post. That 5% difference compared to the 20% difference of BM = a 25% improvement. And that is significant. L2 haz math. L2 read moar. I say in my post these are well known issues. Wake up. As for your other comments....they are either too stupid for me to respond to or once again you did not read my whole post. This will be my last response to you as I feel it clearly expresses how I feel about your trolling.
  10. Your posts are great except for one thing... they want you to PAY for the product, and PAY for SERVICE. How would you "adapt and overcome" if you just bought a new car and it did not run? No company can survive if they don't listen to their clients. Then you say "You don't like it, don't play it." and you are wondering why there are so many cancellation posts? Do you live in a communist country or something?

    Devs wake up!!

    First I will say there is so much about this game that I fell in love with. All of it happened between levels 1 and 49. At level 50, I find myself looking for another game to log into. After all that work on my toons....I am deeply saddened to find that at max level, where most mmos gameplay actually starts....yours ends. Trolls can say whatever meaningless stuff they want here...but then thats what makes them trolls...and thats what gets them ignored. For the rest of us, I see many complaints about the pop unbalance which led to the gear unbalance, but I have yet to see a Dev chime in and say "hey we care and we are looking at doing blah blah blah to fix it". Do you not care? Are you still hungover from all the champagne from your release celebration? No customer is happy in any industry with a lack of responsiveness to questions or complaints about any aspect of their product or service. I am approaching 5 days played...and if this continues, I doubt I will reach 6. You may not care because I am just one subscriber, but I have hopes that others will chime in showing you that I am not alone. My complaints: Pop balance is ridiculous No starter pvp gear...when you hit level 50 you might as well go into wz naked....cause that is what it feels like when you go against the battlemasters that seem to be the majority of imperials on my server. No credit for wins in some wzs...adding insult to injury for Republic players Ilum...the first two issues make this extremely "not fun" and now we get no credit or valor for kills so our dailies and weekly quests cannot be completed....once again hampering our ability to get gear. Republic gear looks like you raided a bra factory for helms and church school cafeteria ladies closet for outfits. Level 50 relics (outside of pvp or the one you can craft from datacrons) require lvl 5 light or dark. Nothing for those that wanted to play somewhere in the middle. While i have many other smaller issues, like when you reach 10000 affection, your companions no longer interact with you in the fun ways they did on the way to 10000. Lag, game crashes, quest bugs..etc. The bullet points above for me personally are the deal breakers that will have me unsubscribing to this game. For the trolls: I pvped from 10-49 and I am level 51 valor on my main... I know my toon so don't even go there. Whatever % damage output and defense enhancement you want to say BM gear has..it also has a lot more endurance...all things equal, a 5k difference in HP provides about a 40% advantage over my current HP in addition to that advantage. I feel that these things are well known issues at this time and nothing is being done, and nothing is being communicated as far as solutions go. I was taught to never complain unless i could offer a suggestion with the complaint, so here is my two cent on that: Population: Offer free server/faction changes to players on the heavy side of server population unbalance. Perhaps offer an incentive like a unique mount or something. Make sure that mirrored class spell functionality operate the EXACT same...just with different names/graphics. Gear: Add purchasable starter lvl 50 pvp gear with slightly less endurance/expertise so that lvl 50s don't go into pvp with such an extreme disadvantage...or...add creatable/purchasable modifications with added endurance/expertise that can not be used in centurion/champion/battlemaster gear. No credit for WZs: Fix that. Ilum: Put back kill credit/valor so quests can be completed.... fix the other issues and this will even out and become "fun". Republic gear looks: If your artists designed this stuff while high... take their dope away. If they designed it while straight...give them some dope. Once this is done...get them working on new looks (Republic likes black clothing too)...and allow Republic the use of Red color crystals. Relics: Either take away light/dark requirements or add similar relics that can be obtained without being light/dark 5. I know this is long...and I am sorry about that. But it is a LAST attempt to see if this game can be made enjoyable at lvl 50.
  12. Then why do you care who has it or how they get it? 50 v 18 is not earning pvp anything and you dont deserve a title/respect because your butt got carried in that big group. Reaching level 60 valor DOES make a difference because you can get gear faster by buying direct rather than "chance" bags. Since there is no longer starter pvp set... new 50s that have been pvping for valor since level 10 come in to WZ with 13k life compared to 18k life of someone in BM gear (most imps on my server have full sets)....and that is before the 20% difference in damage put out/taken in of full BM gear to the gear you just leveled in. Talk about PVE rewards as progression and it is just that...progression. You fight harder and harder bosses in PVE. Not get great loots and then fight level 30 mobs. In pvp you should progress as well..get better gear and go up against better geared players as well. You are not better at pvp because you have a 6k life advantage and a 20% damage in/out swing.... you are insecure, need a false sense of accomplishment because you wasted more time on a monotonous task, and scared to face a fair fight.
  13. The problem started before ilum in my opinion and is just being magnified there. You make great points about the reward system. The problem initially was the draw to the imp side...better looking chars/skills...etc. Now that the population scale is way off balance (I know on Saber of Exar Khun it is rediculous), it is very easy for new level 50 imps to go out to ilum and be carried to battlemaster. They get their dailies done in an hour and their weeklys done in two hours. As Republic... I can only hope to get my dailies done in a week and my weeklys done in a month. This allows imps to gear up quickly in full battlemaster gear while i am sitting at valor lvl 50 and have only 1 pc of champion gear because all the bags i have gotten so far have been empty save for 3 centurion marks...and you can have those. So now ilum is so broken between the lag, the time dump in travel, and the crappy reward system....we go back to pvp in WZ where lvl 50s with 13 to 15k life go against BM imps that have 16-19k life. I know a lot of imps saying "adapt and learn how to beat that challenge". It is not a challenge when my damage is nerfed...their damage is buffed (expertise from the free gear they get), and they are running around with a few more 1000s of life. I want to have fun...that is why i game....this is not fun for me. Another thing adding insult to injury besides all my bags being empty so far.....when we finally win a WZ....WE DON'T GET CREDIT FOR IT!?! I know the trolls will come out of the woodwork for this post...but the people that truly pvp to pvp on the imp side (as opposed to those that enjoy a carry and unfair ganking due to being baddies in general...not just in trolling) want the challenge. Some on our server want the challenge so bad they are making republic toons to come over and help Repubs gear up by allowing "free valor kills" to try to gear up some competition and their alts. That is not fun...that is a carry just like any other. I just hope that the Devs aren't in their comfort zone thinking "MMO players are addicts by nature.... we are safe...they wont leave." Might hold for a bit...but when D3 or some other new game comes out... i think you will feel the pain at that point if this is not fixed. Maybe sooner.
  14. Read all of the posts. "easy" isn't the point. The point is crappy artwork and uneven "mirrored" classes. The draw is much greater to the Empire side because of it and the numbers spread that margin even wider. Finding a Republic player in full Battlemaster gear is extremely rare...on Empire side it is harder to find the players that are not full Battlemasters. WoW made the Blood Elf class because horde complained of all their choices having to be ugly. Who in their right mind wants to play a male char whose reward for making it to endgame/battlemaster gear is that they look like a lunch lady from a church school cafeteria? I think it is time to provide realm/faction xfer incentive to even the numbers out, fix some gear artwork on Republic side, and go back over the supposed "mirrored" classes and make sure that the functionality of each skill (what it does and also how it does it) and make sure that they are actually mirrored. The only difference should be the name of the spell and the graphics to apply it. One last note...on my server anyway, in civil war, it does not matter if we cap the first node 5 seconds before Empire side does.... our ship ALWAYS takes the first tick of damage. *** is that?
