  1. Basically that. Tanking and Healing is usually more complicated then DPSing. Its ok though, we chose one over the other. Instead of gratitude i would much prefer people to help me and pack some medpacks ...
  2. And yet again a PVP fix that hurts the PVE game. They should have concentrated on PVE only, which is what they are good at and left the PVP as some kind of arena fun thing. PVP with PVP stats and heavy itemizations simply never works well. For that you need a skill based system, where items / stats only marginally influence the outcome. Just my oppinion but i am sick of games trying to create a milk producing, egg laying woolen cow. Just concentrate on one thing and do that well....
  3. I would rather repeatedly stab myself in the eye with a fork then do that again. (Beware, subjective Oppinion incoming) Running Hardmodes is fun, PvP in Swtor is not.
  4. They can be done every day for Columi Tokens, you can even do all Bosses except the last, reset and start again the same day. If it were any easier, people would be equipped even faster. Also, Hard Mode... They dont, it depends on quality and damage of gear. I only pay that kind of reapir bills in Ops or when we did Hardmodes for the first time. Do a few dailies, money made again. That is hardly Biowares fault, the hardmodes are definately doable, they were tough at first (again, they are called HARD MODE) but now we run some in just over 20 min. I agree that the lfg options are to limited. At the moment the best option is to get a decent guild / friendslist. I dont see an imbalance, again, you can do all hardmodes every single day. Not doing the endbosses you can farm all the ones in between until your fingers bleed. The possibility to equip yourself is thus much higher then in Ops. Just how easy do you want it to be ??
  5. Die meisten Videos haben nun Musik und die ersten Raid Videos stehen
  6. Thanks ! I used the rating format mostly because it is all subjective and depending on build. I tried to differentiate if skills werent useful. Will soon update on Assault as i am currently raiding with an Assault build.
  7. Quoted for truth. Trauma Probe is quiet nice, just put it on and it heals for a few thousand along the way. Bacta Infusion ? I sometimes didnt even see the hp move on a 21k hp tank. Seriously needs a revamp.
  8. He fails at neither, stop the hate I soloed 140k hp champion mobs with him. He is as awesome as he looks.
  9. I used M1-4X from the moment i got him to 50 as Commando Healer. 1) He does more dps then Tanno, so he is a better choice for Medics. 2) His chatter and comments are awesome 3) He looks cool 4) If you start working with his Ability to pull mobs he is amazing. Mezz the gold, make him pull the elite close, kill the normals, heal M1, kill Hard, make him pull the gold. You can stand and kill all day without moving if you had enough respawn. I tanked most of the H4 quests with him, as a combat medic i only needed 2 DDs. It is amazing for a healer to "control" the tank. Awesome fun. In short, if you are DD specced i would take Aric or Elara. If you are Combat Medic and you dont keep M1 up to date on Equipment, you are seriously missing out on an awesome companion.
  10. Just open one in the right forum, this thread will soon disappear in the flood of new ones. Btw, i just pointed it out cause you will get better info in BH forum. Not trying to police the forums ;.)
  11. This also works: http://torguild.net/calculator/trooper/commando/?p=22322120210030121100203311022100100000000000000000000000000 No instant, but usually shouldnt be needed. In exchange you help your team out with grav rounds armor debuff and the added dps when healing constantly is not required. Later on, when doing Raids you can still go full heal, in Hardmodes it depends on team a bit aswell.
  12. Wrong Forum, not even the right mirror subclass. Should probably repost that in the BH section if your link is correct
  13. Commandos get a Stun, a Knockback and a 1 min Mezz that can be made instant. You do not shut down their skills for a few secs but it should be enough to take someone down. Besides, pvp is teambased. You put the hurt on them, let others interrupt. Only because people do not work as a team does not mean that every class should get everything.
  14. As someone pointed out earlier, the best one time usage medpacks/stims will require so many mats, already do, that it is simply not worth crafting them. I craft some for guildies and thats it. I much prefer craftin implants, which requires less mats for equal income. Basically, what that amounts to is that Armormech will soon be the profession to go for, if the changes with the next major patch go through. I can get my Rakata Gear on main, make money with crit orange armors and have bio on a twink to make my stims / medpacks. There is no point in having it on your main anymore. The only reason i still do is that i invested weeks into getting loads of purple recipes. I might still change for that matter.
  15. Sad people are sad. My main has Biochem. The first nerf was needed, Rakata Medpack was over the top. Now it is ok, from my point of view, for the following reasons: Your numbers are completely and totally invalid, i use medpack maybe 5 times in a Raid. (max) Our Tank does not need to buy any, i craft them for him. Our DPS/Tank/Healer do not need to buy Stims, i craft them for them. I also dont have crap loads of cash because i try to get every epic implant for all classes as a perfect version. In Exchange, i get all the other cool stuff from other craft professions in our Guild. It is not Biochem that needs a nerf, it is your friendslist / guild that needs a buff.
  16. I must have RE'd more implants then the whole server could equip. Still only have 3 of the purple recipes i want. Once i got one after 1 try (!) Now i am on blue implant number 35 or so and no recipe.... It sucks biiig time but on the other hand it makes success all the sweeter and helps you sink some money
  17. Fixed that for you. Does it sound right ? Or condescending and generalising to an unfair degree ? Maybe like the text you originally posted... I have been playing online for 18 years. Loads of accomplishments, server firsts and competitive times. I am definately not a newb or a noob. I still dont like dps meters. I do not care about one for yourself. A truly personal one whose output cannot be shared. And that has nothing to do with beeing bad as i know my damage is good. It has all to do with the social aspect, interactions with fellow players and of course the fact that i fail to realise how optimising your dps with a tool has anything to do with skill. To me that is the opposite. What i think most of the people asking for that want, is a quicker success. Games are to easy and quick as is anyhow. No need to make it worse.
  18. Pretty much that, though 3) is to some point incorrect (subjective, i know) Tanking in this game is a bit different to others, our tank usually only tanks Hard and Elite mobs, DDs just quickly get rid if the normal ones before then focusing the bigger stuff. Sometimes one DD "helps" the tank and the other kills the normal stuff around. Its to much hassle grabbing agro of everything, if something joins we cc it and the tank agroes it later. I feel tanking in Swtor is more of a group job.
  19. Agree on what has been said so far. If the healer dies / is cc'ed / out of range due to knockback etc and a teammate is low, then i will pop a heal. AMP is one GCD lost and crits for over 3k, which is usually enough to give the healer the one or two seconds he needs. I would be really pissed off if the group wiped because a DD did "forget" about his base heals. They are a tool in your arsenal and you should use them if oportune. Edit: What i do think is rude is your signature, Religion has no place on a game forum.
  20. Agree for the most part. There is loads to do. I play every single day for hours after work and i only have one level 50 char so far. He now has all Columi / Rakata Gear. Most of his companions have lvl 51+ Gear. Now working on their affection. Started a few twinks i alternate and in between run Hardmodes with people so they can gear up as well. Collected a few Datacrons but not all the ones for my main stat yet. I will never collect all Datacrons or Codex Entries, never was into that, but i enjoy my time online with guildies / people from friendslist, just running FPs, doing some twinking etc. I am also still missing a whole lot of epic recipes for crafting, especially ones from HM/NM OPs. Havent done all Space Missions yet, i am only at Rank 32 in pvp, i only have one craft at max level..... All i can say is that there is loads to do even if not doing stuff like hunting codex entries. And from time to time, just dont log on and play something else for a change. But most of all, socialise with people, a games content rarely made me stay in any game for long. It was always the people i met along the way.
  21. So enjoying Story is somehow not equal to good gameplay.... To beat the dead horse again, i love good gameplay and i am competitive. Yet i dislike meters. Saying that people that use damage meters and combat logs are more pro is like saying that someone who copy pasted their doctor thesis is more intellectual then someone who actually thought it up himself. Using combat logs only shows that you posess basic reading capabilities. I wouldnt even argue so much against it if people would not constantly state that log=pro
  22. Thanks for your Feedback ! I incorporated some into the Guide.
  23. If you go Medic then it probably does not matter. If you go Assault spec you rely on Charged Bolts, which has no cd. Full Auto is in no way a replacement. If your teammates are ok with a DD gimping his damage by a fair amount to be a special snowflake, well, more power to you. If you go Gunnery you could use your important skills, the base damage would still be lower though. In short, depending on spec you can take a rifle but at least 2 out of 3 specs would suffer damage wise. As such it is not an equal replacement.
  24. We take in between 20 and 50 minutes for a HM FP. Depending on the amount of bosses we do, (bonus boss, mini bosses etc) and the trash we can avoid. So if you just do your daily then it is best to pick a short one. If you look for a specific item you can also do up to that boss, for example up to second boss in Kaon for weapon mainhand and then reset. So the length of the hardmodes is not an issue, finding a group for a speedy run and then getting through without wiping etc. is much more problematic. Only thing helping with that is an extensive friendslist.
