  1. Only thing I can say is you got really... reallly... unlucky. I dunno man.. Chances are you'd be best going for high end quest rewards anyways. Or commendation gear. But if asthetics are your main goal then just keep trying.
  2. I understand your trying to set the record straight but come on.. no need to be a dick. Also to disprove your theory of world boss only I show you this. http://www.torhead.com/item/4MfDR2Z This shows that there is a level 16 crystal. Where you get it... I haven't the faintest...
  3. Thats strange... Cause I was having no issues today even after the maintenance that happened last night.. Still obtained the upside of... 15 upgrades...? Was taking me roughly 3-8 RE... I guess the higher level the item the harder it is to RE.. thats about it?
  4. As of right now it seems as though there is a glitch where nodes are spawning in your instance but they actually exist elsewhere... It's just something BW will look into soon enough.. If you can't click it theres really not much you can do to make it appear properly.. Sorry man!
  5. As posted before YES THEY CAN GET SLOTS
  6. I personally am DYING to get a purple saber seeing as (a true darkside) sith gets pretty royally screwed in the fact that the colours are much red and a few rare other ones... I want a pretty blue saber but I'm not pansy enough to give up my dark side marauder.
  7. Because it's all about what really is better at that exact moment. If you have one awesome if you don't then you don't.. I still favour modded pieces because you can fit them to what you need. They are flexible. Especially for the classes who jump from tank to dps or heals. The augments help yes, there is no denying that but it's not the end of the world if you can't get lucky.
  8. Yay! Everything turns out okay! Like I said I wasn't too sure but I doubted that they pushed tanks to the wayside for modding. Crappy that it's a high skill level but not a huge issue I guess because with a bit of focus you can hit 400 in a few hours tops. Specially if you have nothing better to do! PVP leveling makes skills fly by.
  9. Honestly while the credit ratio has the ability to be insane.. I find personally that I can sell crafting materials and mods and whatnot that I artifice for more of a profit... at my current level (which I know is lower) I rarely get a case that is a huge profit. Most of them make me back my money and just a bit. Nothing super over the top. But maybe thats just because my slicing is only at 200 at the moment. I can't really say for upper levels.
  10. Yes you can get augment slots. It happens when you get a "crit" craft. On a rare chance you can create the gear with a slot. No it doesn't ruin the custom gear because its all luck. The chance of critting on any craft is excruciatingly rare so its more of an added bonus then the be all to end all... Just my opinion..
  11. Im still a lowbie but im still rolling Vette because she is a BEAST and I am annihilation spec so I heal enough to live on my own... but thats just me..
  12. From what I understand they are going to be reimplementing the vendor.. that way people like me who only got the one crystal can have atleast another. My marauder is kinda off balanced.. I just cant remember where the vendor was..
  13. Im not 100% sure about these mods and cant really check on them for you at the moment since im at work... however.. An easy way to learn a base mod level is to buy the lowbie armor or whatever and just RE the mods until you learn the base mod.. then you can create those freely and RE those into the upgraded forms so on and so forth... Not to mention schematics are also a possibility.. Not to sure about the schematics though... Hang in there! Keep in mind that this is still a new game so they may have overlooked some mods.
  14. Everything about RE is all luck and just keep trying.. thats about all I can offer you..
  15. Below is my listed spec for Annihilation. Hope it helps a bit. I absolutely love Annihilation because no matter what happens you are STILL damaging ERRYTHING! The lowered range of the charge mixed with the increased rage gain is huge for keeping up consistant damage. Constant refreshing of Deadly Saber is also mandatory. For the target you are destroying you should have a bleed up at all time whether its from Rupture or Deadly Saber. When fully ready to go the ability to toss out some (albiet small) heals to give a bit of a back up when fully proccing your berserk crit heals can also be beneficial. Around level 25 I was able to pop off some heals for roughly 80-100 per second with fully stacked bleeds. Seeing as your damage in this spec also is less true damage, it also seems (in my experiences) to bring less agro your way making it THAT much easier to just unleash. If im wrong feel free to correct me! http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#100bIbRrRMcGzZhMbZh.1
  16. From what I have seen thus far in the world, the only way to recieve the yellow crystals is through a chance drop from the treasure hunting crew skills... There are no nodes for it in the world for archaeology as well as from the companion missions. Just keep trying and pray that you get lucky! If this continues this way expect to see a huge increase in the price of yellows.
  17. At a lower level my artifice was Reverse Engineering into a new schematic whether it was blue or purple every 4-5 items.. Even with the higher I go I still pull in nice new shiny items.. You must be very unlucky my friend. Try doing some "Favours" for BioWare? =D
  18. In all honesty this game rewards those who put the immense amounts of time people put into their crafting... You spend hours and hours in the right ways and you can make: A S#%T ton of money Some bad***** gear The love and respect of your underlings (Never mind... Eff everyone else!) I personally love the crafting in this game.. After having bashed my head into a wall for 7 years in WoW I find it refeshing to have to actually give a ****. Not to mention if done right you shouldn't need to really buy any of your materials! Just ensure you have the right gathering skill. Just IMHO...
  19. In all honesty I have been giving them away in droves to my guild members... I have found no point in wasting time or credits on the market..
  20. It seems as though this guide is definetely build more towards that of a Synthweave or Armourmech.. I can try and add a bit to the artifice side because it does seem to work a little bit differently. When it comes to artifice the progression of an item works pretty well the same way with once you get lucky (or just do more than enough RE) you learn the higher sides to items. However there is one plus that also comes of it. As of my current skill level (some where around 200) I have noticed that I am able to Reverse Engineer Lightsabers as well as just the simple mods. MAKE SURE THAT TO LEARN THE SCHEMATICS YOU REMOVE THE MODS FROM THE SABER BEFORE REVERSE ENGINEERING! As of yet I'm not too sure if I can RE sabers that don't have mod slots but I will get back to you shortly on this! Edit- Also, As of yet I haven't seen any prefixes or suffixes on any artificed gear as well...
