  1. Whats gimped? My Jug leaps in and hits 1.5-2.5k Ravage hits followed by a 2k Force scream, and I don't even have all my goodies yet. We're fine and so are sorcs/sages.
  2. Just a thread for fun, usually you get the "what music do you listen to while pee vee pee'ing" but I've decided to ask you all to pick ONE song as your character's Theme Song. For me, I play a Cyborg Jugg and it hit me, my theme song is Mr. Roboto from Styx. I especially enjoy this for Huttball. Share yours.
  3. Easy fix could be to have a rewards % based modifier that increases Exp/Money/Commendations/Valor based on how high your Objective score is on the end of the match.
  4. If you're playing to win and be "competitive" why do you care at all about the rewards? Shouldn't you just be playing to stroke your epeen and eventually when rateds come out to get high rank? You're already at an advantage queuing in groups in a solo based queue system, do you really need to get more reward for winning so that the disparity grows? Do you like discouraging new players from queueing up because they just get *****tomped by overgeared premades? Have you not seen how PvP dies in the past MMO's? PvP'ers like you make me laugh, you go on about being hardcore, competitive and skill based but then whine when you're not getting 2-3 times the reward so you can get gear faster to dominate on people you're already winning against..like really?
  5. They will add rated zones and arena whatnot later on, WoW didn't have that stuff until years after launch. Winners DO get more, they just don't get stupidly high amounts like in WoW where winners get a 1/3rd of what the winners get. You know why this is good? It helps prevent lopsided factions which is already an issue with population on it's own. All this would accomplish is letting the faction with the most premades stream ahead and then *****tomp the other faction and new players joining from then on. Hello Warhammer Online. If anything WoW also shows that having a bigger incentive to win doesn't help anyone play any better either, I actually find 90-95% of the people playing in warzones are trying pretty good. If someone isn't good it's usually because they're new and don't know the rules/map.

    Raising the stuns to 1 min 30 sec CD's might help. 1 min on paper sounds good and like it reduces the spam but in warzones there's almost always at least one person with a stun up. This is most prevalent in Huttball matches..my god the stunlocking can just be...ludicrous.
  7. Spell responsiveness or what I like to think of as "spell queueing" is a bit dodgey here. I know for a fact that I'm timing the spells like I do in WoW/Warhammer to clip the end of the cast bar, works fine in other games but it's not so hot here. Targeting is an issue at times and could easily be fixed by putting in large nameplates you could turn on for easier clicking and tracking of HP bars. I would also reaaaaally like a way to increase the cast bars above peoples heads, trying to see the tiny spell icon to tell what they're casting to decide if I want to interrupt it or wait for something else is a bit annoyiing atm. Otherwise it's not that bad and I'm still having fun, for now at least.
  8. The only real movement issues I've had so far is knockbacks having buggy responses. You knock someone back, they glitch back on top of you for a second and then glitch back out to where they should be. Pretty annoying, specially for melee and aoe ground targeted mechanics. You could say the leap charges are wonky but honestly, for the whole like...2 times my jugg got denied a charge I was able to make like 50 law of physics defying charges that did work. *shrug*
  9. What class doesn't get **** on when 3+ people decide to blow their big cd's on you? This isn't a class issue, it's just a you got **** on issue. My Jugg does fine and I'm not even specced tank. I still can get lit up in a matter of seconds even popping saber ward too. I don't care, you know why? Because it's hilarious getting Ravage crits for 2-3k a swing and then follow it up with a Force Scream crit for 2.5k and gibbing some poor bastard.
  10. It's better for the game. Winners DO get slightly more than the losers which is how it should be. Giving the losers nothing will quickly escalate into a gear/level disparity which leads to faction imbalance which leads to people not queueing for PvP any more because it's a stompfest. Saying "only reward wins will make people play to win more" is a lie, this is still a game and while I play to win and be a "tryhard" not everyone will and I hate to break it to you but a good % of the PvP crowd is mostly casual, especially when it comes to warzones/bg's. Alienate them and you will enjoy some nice long queue times(it can already be bad enough if you're empire.)
  11. I don't know what class it is but someone keep critting my sorc for 3-3.5k all the damn time. I don't think it's BH though. As far as BH's go all I have to say is get your damn flamethrower out of my juggs face
  12. Played I think 7ish warzones last night. Won all but 1 and it was Huttball with an Empire premade on the other side(at least 6 with same guild tag) highly organized and passed like champs. Hoping Rebels put up a better fight tonight, I like winning as much as the next guy but I don't want them being demoralized and stop queueing.
  13. Don't assume I meant I go around looking for 1v1's, I was referring to the fact that a high level Sorc with all abilities would be more valuable to a team than I would, bolster or not. Also wth are you talking about not getting into a WZ? It's still only EGA players and servers are already maxing out, this game does not have a population problem, brackets would not effect jack now and most certainly not after the 20th.
  14. Leveling in warzones is fine. I think they actually smacked down the Exp. gains in WZ's since beta though, I remember leveling STUPID fast doing nothing but warzones for the most part. I only quested up until I got my ship and then just pretty much WZ the rest of the weekend. Good money gains as well.
  15. From a Sorc POV no amount of bolstering is going to help me win against another Sorc/Consular who has Thundering Blast and instant Chain Lightning procs and their Static Shield, Crushing Darkness DoT and Affliction DoT vs. my level 14 Sorcs abilties. There needs to be some brackets.
  16. What side do you even play on? If you play Rebels you will be happy to be on the underdog side. Gear only goes so far, eventually everyone hits the cap and it won't matter if they geared slightly faster. World PvP DOESN'T MATTER HERE. This isn't DAoC or Warhammer or Planetside etc. Wolrd PvP is what we will make of it. If you don't like your sever balance reroll or transfer if they make it available. BW isn't obligated to fix a community problem, nor are you entitled to demand them to fix it.
  17. Bolster is taken directly from Warhammer. The problem is that they didn't put brackets in along with bolster. They need to at least break it up into two, say 10-25 and 26-50. While yes your "stats" are boosted to that of a level 50, you do not possess all the talents and abilities of a 50. It still causes imbalances in "fairness" of the match. Really don't know why they didn't put some brackets in, huge step backwards in instanced PvP gaming.
  18. "Competitive server" *eyeroll* Everyone rolled there because the server is called FATMAN, and 80% of the population is using the Type 4 body.
  19. I play a sorc and I have to say I've actually been in the minority in most warzones. Why people complain about IQ I have no idea..the gunner classes do way more damage than I ever do. Getting crit for 3-3.5k constantly if they decide they don't like me. Highest crit I've seen so far is 1850, granted only got to 14 so I don't have all my toys yet but I got to 22 in the beta and still barely broke 2k. We are not "OP"..just focus us down quick like you would any caster.
  20. Weapon. I think you can only ever hold 600 commendations at a time and there's a new lightsaber every 4-8 levels I think? Other than that yeah, buy lockboxes, get greens for cash/wearing.
  21. 2:1 isn't game breaking nor is it slowing the warzones that much. Also, as someone stated earlier the full population isn't in yet. I play empire actually, still had decent queue times last night on my server(granted we absolutely dominated Rebels all night.) Putting a faction cap on a server is about the only thing BW could do, but they obviously don't have that set up and I honestly doubt they'd be able to do so between now and launch. Roll with it.
  22. Tell me again why server imbalance matters at all with instanced PvP? World PvP here isn't really an issue, the game doesn't revolve around it. That leaves warzones which don't start until theres an equal number of players in queue for it to begin so that doesn't matter either. If anything, a faction imbalance is a BOON for the underdog because you will be in queue for much less time than the side with more players. What's the issue here..I'm not seeing it? Btw I played Alliance on several Horde dominated servers because I wanted to actually PvP, not sit around in a city staring at a vendor waiting for my queue to pop. Faction imbalance only effects games with World PvP that matters, the World PvP we have here so far doesn't matter at all.
  23. Newsflash: Damage and Kills do not matter in a Warzone with OBJECTIVES. You probably had 0 objective points. Basically you are the people who fight in midfield in WSG matches in WoW and then wonder why you're team lost despite "topping the charts." Unless it's a deathmatch with first team to 50 kills wins or something, spouting on about your leet deeps and killing blows(more likely just lucky to get last shot in) does not get you an MVP. Be less concerned with stroking the ego and more about doing objectives and helping your teammates.
