  1. easy people dont click even after you tell them start clicking, different people click different "sides" like one clicks left and the next time the other guy clicks right, people dont click consoles until kill adds and they kill them slowly etc.... at this exact run as soon as we reached the 1st console (we were all here) some guy run straight to console and clicked it. I asked in group chat not to click on anything and reseted pylons and a few seconds later the other guy clicked again....so me and other guy had to run to second pylon to reset it there. Normal PUG nowdays
  2. ...as the title says. You are probably not aware thats why i start another "whining" topic, in desparate hope some of you accidentally see this and maybe even react somehow. I play on Red Eclipse and half (probably even 2\3) of PUG opses since 4.0 DONT finish. For example, this week i played 1 character, i started 5 PUG SM opses and only 1 completed: EC - stopped at minefield (i explained what to do but it didnt help ), KP - got decent group, completed fast and easy; TFB - last boss 3 or 4 wipes, lots of chatting\explaining still wipes, abandons, no replacement for about half an hour or more and gg bb....then EV (1 wipe on pylons, 2 leavers, no replacement found, gg), and today DF - 2 wipes on Draxus, half of group left, and the rest left within following 5 minutes Dissapointing experience, in fact so terrible that i do less and less OPS runs and start to think i should give up on that content overall. Actually flashpoints are also giving frustrating experience from time to time but the same problems that just lightly irritate in FPs (bad players unaware of their roles, skills and boss tactics) became absolutley unbearable for OPSes. And the reasons are: 1) group finder is helpless. i know there is shortage of tanks (and sometimes heals) but GF finds replacement tanks\heals for Flashpoints and at the same time rarely can do it for OPS. As I see the problem - its because people rarely use OPS GF to get into OPS (more often its fleet general chat). And you (Bioware) definetly could do something about it. Like giving weekly rewards ONLY for using GF and dont let people fleet-gathering OPS and then just queue it in GF. I know there will be lots of rages about that idea...but its the problem and it MUST be solved somehow, i have only that (crappy) idea. 2) (i dont know why but) people are constantly leaving OPSes after 1st-2nd wipe, much more often than they do it in flashpoints.....and after that....see above about OPS GF. Well there's nothing can be done here i suppose but i think overall improvement of OPS quality will also decrease people's leavings. Again in HM FPs at least you can summon companion and actually finish FP with him (except few hardest FPs). 3) bosses lockdowns. I understand why its implemented but it makes the problems much worse - your PUG raid killed 1-2 bosses and then disbanded? - that means this ops is ruined for you this week, no way you get into new group to finish it. Why can t you just make lockdown more "personal"? - I mean i killed boss (no matter if i got loot or not) in one ops but I still can queue for other the same ops and kill that boss again but Ill be just forbidden to loot that boss. I wont get "unfair\additional" loot and at the same time i can "finish" the ops i started with another group. p.s. i know its unrealistic but "teaching" solo-version OPS with bots would probably help wirh some of OPS problems. A version where the player is explained the tactics step by step, told and visiually demonstrated where to stand, what attacks to avoid and how, kill order etc....and all that done step by step and the player must do something requested to proceed further. Like:..... and now here you can see Brontes' finger spawns...as a DPS you should burn it asap...now kill that finger.....i know it sounds dumb and this game is for 14+ but hell ive seen so much stupid in that game
  3. Just let it die already, like people say - if you love, let it go GSF was terrible mistake in many ways. It differs too much from the game itself and barely connected to it. It is too complicated and "grindy" to be a simple mini-game inside a game. It's a rival to warzones and SWTOR isnt even a pvp game to support 2 different PVP modes at the same time. It has even stronger problems with the skill and "gear" gap between new players and "old space wolfes" comparing even to warzones and those stupid expertise\bolster problems. Besides, theme park MMOs always lack fresh content, Bioware dissapointed PVP community with lack of new maps, killing open world pvp, killing group pvp, then they killed hard core PVE raiders, now they are killing the rest of group PVE community with theese exciting 2 years without new ops as we have only solo story for you...... You cant be serious asking for reanimating GSF these days
  4. No challenge and no reward? Why? 204-208-216 is NOT a reward. If you cosider EC a 1-time activity - well its OK, its not about reward. But if you want it to be a repeatable content you have to provide decent reward. If you dont want to give good gear as a reward. its OK i understand, but then give OTHER rewards, decorations, mounts, good looking armors etc. I can remind you: - you get tons of green and blue crystals for running heroics now (we all do as they are part of Alliance grind, 50+ heroics, each gives 5 green and 2 blue crystals) - you get tons of green and blue crystals for running daylies\weeklies (like 15-minutes CZ weekly gives you around 40 green and 20 blue crystals, there are also Oricon\Yavin\BlackHole\SectionX\Ziost\Belsavis) - you can get 2x 208 gear pieces for running Black Talon tactical FP solo (its very easy and fast run and can be repeated any times you want, basically you can run it like 5-10 times and get full 208) - you get 208 gear piece + 2 mods (possible) for running heroic Star fortress - you can craft 208 gear, hell you can even craft 216 and 220 That all above is SOLO content already existant in the game that let people have at least 208 gear after they finish Kotfe (actually after a bit of Alliance farm you wear mostly 216 with some parts of 220 and 208). And all that make your new EC irrelevant as gear farming activity. And im greatly dissapointed that instead of interesting and challenging new activity you created another stupid(cause of easyness) and useless (cause of no reward) one-time quest "Kill X standard helpless mobs". p.s. cmon, give us the challenge and fun repeatable content. Let EC be endless where each new wave of mobs is a bit stronger (dmg and hp) that previous, create 10-15 REALLY different mobs (tank-mobs\Dps-mobs\Heal-mobs. mobs that debaff you, mobs that stun\slow you, big mobs with huge hp pool, week mobs that swarm you like zerglings....) and mix them together. Add some randomness to mobs spawn. Make different baffs randomly spawn on the arena, add some architecture to the arena to let player kite\los mobs and overall "play smart". Create a ladder similar to PVP that shows how far people could reach, best of the best players survived most waves.....and after that create 4men arena.
  5. My apologises for the following wall of text... 1) Difficulty. 1-5 levels: easy and reachable for almost any player. Would be good if those fights could TEACH people their class, abilities, rotations, interrupts etc. Overall difficulty - something like solo flashpoint when you dismiss Godlike GSI droid and do it solo with companion. 5-7 levels: hard difficulty - unavoidable mechanics, fast reaction and "not-standing-in-stupid" required, must use of def cooldowns, interrupts etc. Should be impossible for 1 button smashers, slackers, 5 apm(action per minute) house-keepers and so on. And be a reasonable challenge for raiders\ decent players who use all capabilities of their class. Overall difficulty: comparable to soloing tacticals\ a bit harder version of solo Star Fortress heroic. 8-10 levels: REALLY tough challenges, some kind of NIM ops for solo. "One fail = death" mechanics, Dps-check, hard hitting aoe that require player to constantly move, etc. Difficulty: highest as possible to appeal to all those who seek tough challenges and been very frustrated since 4.0 and overall easyness in both solo and group PVE content. 2) Rewards. (taking into account the difficulty level described above) 1-5 levels. Some starting gear like purple 208 now. Crazy idea - give better reward if player did very good job. Like additional quest bonus, something like: killing boss under X minutes or taken less than X damage or getting over X dps etc. Bonus reward - 216 gear. 5-7 lvl. At least 216. Again bonus reward for perfect performance so people would really want to learn and get better. Bonus rewards - set 216 or non-set 220 10 lvl. 220 non set or 216 with set bonus. There shouldnt be bonus reward here i suppose as you should perform at your best to even finish it. And besides 220 with set bonus should stay exclusive reward for HM\Nim Opses
  6. pretty sure they drop from appropriate bronze-silver-gold packs (the new ones arrived in 4.0). BW added ALL previously released cartel items (incuding reputation-only) into those packs.
  7. we all know, sentinels and mara can do ANYTHING, they dont need tanks and healers cause they are best tanks and healers (dont mention best dps as well) ahhhh here you go, you're either lying or fake sentinel, cz sents: 1) dont heal between combats 2) dont run carefully, avoiding enemies or not aggroing all possible mobs 3) dont pick targets wisely, sent sees red nameplate, sent attacks, sent CRUSHES!!!!!!
  8. yes please, those dead zones are annoying as.....something very annoying.
  9. just curious.... why do u use two accounts and more interesting thing - why do u need to transfer characters between them? the only reason i see is buying other person account for some legacy gear unobtainable anymore (or legacy achieves etc...) but its definetly not what BW will ever allow.
  10. log as a character with tank spec and queue as a tank in GF, get instant pops and then decline it for as many times as you want just for wicked fun. I tested it, works perfectly. If you dont believe - try it youself. My proposal won't affect normal players in any way, its against trolls and GF abusers.
  11. I understand that some people prefer solo play but It's MMO, it must provide good multiplayer content. If BW will downgrade all group content to solo one, this game will be dead soon after. Like my 1st swtor server that suffered population hit with the first wave of leavers in the 1st month and after that completely died within next 2 month cz there were no group for anything and you practically couldnt do anything except wandering round empty planets and kill mobs out of boredom. So no, turning igroup content into solo content is NOT a option at all.
  12. As i see the problem: we have too many DPSs and too low numbers of healers and tanks....so we get those terrible braindead tacticals which actually are terribly dull, teaches people nothing etc etc What if.... Upon entering tactical FP we'll have two consoles which people can click and temporary become tank and heal. The 1st volunteer that clicks tank-console gets defence baff and 2 taunts, the "healer-wannabe" gets 2-3 healing skills. Or maybe that option can even be made before each boss fight, so anyone can try any role at any boss. I think its much funnier than just facerolling through FP and click healing consoles on boss fights. And ofc some people upon trying new roles will deffenetly love that playstyle and maybe reroll tank or healer to play that role constantly.
  13. So i propose to implement time delay before you can use Group Finder if you decline invites too often. 1st decline - no penalty (misclick or some real life matters etc) 2nd - 1min (here you go, you did it on purpose, chiil out for 1 min, not that much) 3rd - 5 min (you declined 3 times in a row, you really need time to think if you WANT to get a group . so here you get 5 min to decide) 4th decline - 30 min (you either trolling or trying to abuse the GF system - so get lost) p.s. I just got consequent 11 (yes, ELEVEN) GF declines in a row. And after a 2-3 minutes another 3 blinking GF invites when smbd declined almost immediately.
  14. you still can buy "old" decos on GTN from other players or wait till those cartel packs return to cartel market (they do from time to time).
  15. im pretty sure some people will be away from swtor\games during summer...so will they get a chance to get Nico or you "don't believe in second chances"?
  16. despite the fact it was KDY and there is bolster.....being heavily undergeared is always a sign of retard, sorry. when you do solo quests its up to you what to wear but in group content you should always wear as good gear as you can afford. Its not a matter of effectivness in KDY but a matter of respect to other people in fp with you. I'v met a lot of people in terrible gear in ops, HM fps....wearing low lvl greens, wrong gear with wrong stats, no relics etc.... its freakingly irritating. And mostly not because they're useless but 'cz of their attitude. Wish BW implement gear check before letting people into queue. p.s. pretty sure your friend's been blamed because your group was too slow. and that's the reason that "Bob" started to check people's gear. it is always slow when you have even 1 heal in your group and you had heal and tank and instead of spliting damage amongst group you probably tried to full-tank it and your friend did mostly healing, not dpsing... KDY demands fast kills and rush not standard tank-heal-dps gameplay. Having a healer is ok but he should dpsing and throw a little heal when smbd's near death and tanks better respec to dps tree. so in short....tell your friend get decent gear and you'll be meeting less salty jedies. Better for all. And all that "saving" basic comms is hillarious. it requires only 6 comms to get 1 good blue gear piece of your level and you get 20 or 30 for 1 KDY run (daily) and the same amount for normal fp run.
  17. it all depends on what one calls a bad gear, some 168 blues without augments for HM flash? - yes, its bad gear. Augmented purple 186-192 (190 Ziost)? - its decent gear more than enough. people dnt go into HM flashes for gear, they do it for ult comms, so basically they want the run fast and easy and have people in decent gear, not struggling every boss and group of trash, with wipes and million-cost repair bills And i think its fair demand. regarding quiters - ye, it happens, some just give up easily, people are people. But sometimes there are groups that you just dont want to carry through content cz they are so bad that you can replace someone with your pet and it will be great improvment anyway... get decent gear (Ziost blues at least), augment it (MUST HAVE), know your hero\skills\rotations etc, know your role, learn tactics or at least read advices on tactics in chat and see what others do and you'll be perfectly fine. And just ignore whiners and quiters.
  18. brilliant idea also BW should take characters' names away if smbd didnt play for 2 weeks or month. oh and permadeath ofc - your character dies from mobs - start the new one cz that one is dead)))))
  19. Nice ideas but BW will choose some boring planet like OrdMantell and make there a boring stronghold without any idea behind it. And people will buy it and thus will make BW sure they go right way when they dont bother trying to surprise\make happy their customers. Sad but true.
  20. Not exactly, the idea is... There are goldsellers and they get the creds for selling from some source(s). And there are some people who really WORK ingame, like the ones who clicked those slots the whole week 24\7, the ones who farmed rishi chests 24\7, some of ravagers exploiters (they couldnt waste the opportunity), people who play GTN like buying and selling at more expensive prices etc. Maybe some of them are doing it because they get fun from it. But maybe they work in game because it IS their real-life work? I mean if BW would hire me as a goldsellers hunter I wouldnt waste time on one-day bots spamming in fleet chat and sending mails but better start examine logs of those extreemely rich people including the ones who severely abused slotmachines and later cried for its nerf. And the other quesion is why BW supports that? why they gave them(ingame "hard workers") the instrument to accumulate terrible amounts of valuable items (which will remain valuable for years as universal currency for obtaining 13-14-15 lvl mats and so on untill BW decides to delete that java currency)? And why after that BW nerfed slots and let them maximise their profits? (mats like doonium\midlith had price around 5k right before slots nerf and now they are about 20k so it is x3-x4 more profitable)
  21. cui prodest? thats what every sane person should ask when some sh*t (like these slots) happens. So who's got the big Prize? BW ofc. They created unbalanced item so much desirable by players that surely did skyrocket Acolyte pack sales. Im ok with that, they are EA now and they need all the money in the world and if the ruined reputation is the price for that...well we all know who won "worst USA company" title two times in a row. But why nerf slots? BW cares mostly about CM sales only, in-game market was always their stepchild (hello, cartel crystals, java junks from packs etc). If they find new way to sell more CC by ruining some part of ingame economy, who cares about the game when you can get MOAR dollaz. But what's in that for BW that purple mats will get cheaper? Whose interests are they protecting with that nerf? And here again the question i started with - cui prodest? who asked for slots nerf? - the people that had no slots? probably no, they would just loose all chances to get some from that tasty pie - normal players who spent a few hours gambling and made a few millions selling mats\crafted items and decos but mostly doing this for gambling fun? - no, if they were so obsessed with money making they would play slots 24h\per day. So Im sure nerf slots demanders are the same people that abused these slotmachines the most (prob. using clickers and bots). They stockpiled tens\hundreds purple stacks and cartel certificates BUT prices were going down every minute and so were their potential prfits. Whats the point of having thousands of purples if the price for them is 1000creds (pretty sure such would be the price if slots remained unnerfed or even lower) and the market is flooded with them so you cant sell them. All those millions of clicks were for nothing and potential hundreds of millions are bitterly unreachable. They needed that nerf badly to get prices back and start selling all they abused and do that for good prices. And thats what Bioware provided to them, even being perfectly aware of the consequent reaction from majority of players. And the last part of this logical chain...who are they? those billionaires, cartel whales etc? and what they are doing with all their money? In fact this game provides very little possibilities to spend your ingame money for. Even if you dont have\dont waste your CC, you can still easily have all the cartel market items (armors, mounts, decos) just for creds (with a little crafting\GTN playing). SO why? Why people trying to earn so much money ingame? and what they are doing with them? The answer is................... selling to gold sellers or they are the goldsellers. We all know how fleet chats look these days, we're all recieving 1-2 mails a day from goldsellers. It is escalating and we want it to stop. But does Bioware want it to stop? With this slots nerf BW demonstrated their support to people who accumulate large amounts of money in their hands and which are potential goldsellers or their (goldsellers) suppliers. Was it coincedence? unintentional and just unwise decision or was that made on purpose to stimulate cartel coins sales? The logic here is simple.... Money are accumulated in the hands of rich-guys, who dictate their prices and they are interested in high prices to abuse bad economy (it is really bad in swtor) and get more money. At the same time, other players have to either buy cartel packs to convert them into ingame creds (which is in BW's interests) or grind stupid content (which BW prefers to add into the game) for money (daylies\weeklies etc). Grind is actually also favorable to BW, 'cause it makes people stay ingame for more and brings more money into economy what in its turn increases inflation and then back to start - more cartels sells, more grind.... p.p.s. Just in case, if you find some ideas in that post "disturbing", re-read its title
  22. i support that. decent drop rates and nice idea with 200 chips limit in that state its barely profitable, no economy impact and yet still fun to play that mini-game when waitin for gf pop.
  23. oh cmon, new HM fps are easy as they are and will become totall faceroll content (so loved by community) pretty soon with new tier of gear. untill then there are still precious moments when you can call it hard mode. if you think HMs are hard - stick to the tacticals, dont ask devs to make all content in that game "tactical"
  24. NO! the whole story with slots is just a disgusting example how BW treat their customers. Cant believe they didnt predict the impact of slot-machines. Pretty sure they perfectly knew it would be abused. But would many people buy packs with slots with such chances as they are now? nope. So idea was to drop tasty lure and harvest seeds of peoples greed and credulity. p.s. i got my slots from gtn(no cc spent) and got lots of certs and purple junk, so it was win-win for me but im really dissapointed with that BW's sly trick and feel kinda scared of whats coming next from BW.
  25. your irony stands on the idea that actual fun of gabling shouldn't depend on winning(or hope to win) but on clickin the button of slot-machine (for instance) or other no-profitable type of fun?
