You have the choice of finding another guild. Personally, I have never heard of people being required by their guilds to play specs they don't like, and I played wow for 7 years in a semi-hardcore pve guild. Telling your guildmaster you don't want to play a healer/tank while you're dps, works fine. If it doesn't, then the guild is obviously a bad one as the guildmaster has no clue about working with a team. And you should leave it at once. Please don't apply your personal horror stories to a whole system and then declare the game must not have something that is quite needed by many others, just because you don't like it or cower in fear of it. Thank you.

I play a commando. I've often healed for low level fps with a dps spec. If the game had dual spec, I'd most likely have a healer spec for fps but I won't be spending cartloads of creds to respec every 2 days --> one less healer for the server --> increased time required to find a healer. "HeRp DeRp just ReSpEc, durrr"

As gunnery, I dueled my combat medic m8. Lol, he beat me everytime hands down, no questions asked. Then he dueled some jedi sentinel and pawned his *** too like miles away. That's OP.

LFD -> allowing an occasional jerkwad to polute your group NO LFD -> guild "in-breeding" with players only forming groups with their own guildmates. The true death of community. I'd rather put up with the occasional jerk than have just a lot of guilds only doing instances inside their twisted groups.

Haven't read all this thread but did anyone already advise you to get a guild ? The LFG system ruins the community, it seems, however mostly all 50s are in an "in-breeding" guild and only do fp with guild members. How's that for ruining a community ? No one knows what the legacy is about. But I've seen plenty of phantasmagoric assumptions by some people, things that I don't have to know what is the legacy about, to know there is no way in hell BW is gonna allow that with the legacy.

My 1st commando was a male of body type 2. When I got Sprint, I noticed that my character, while holding the cannon in his hand and sprinting, had a weird running animation like he was running through those car tires back at boot camp. Horrified, I instantly made a female character of body 2. Astonishing, when I reached level 14 and got Sprint, the same animation was much better and the character wasn't running through the tires. Go figure...

How to start swtor 1. double click on the shortcut 2. watch your screen while nothing happens for a minute 3. double click again. 4. A message appears informing you there is already an instance of swtor launched. 5. wait for 2-3 more minutes 6. The login screen appears and you type your info 7. Click on your character 8. Wait 3-4 minutes while the game probably processes SETI information and calculating a cure to cancer 9. Finally you can play...after 6 minutes from clicking on the icon.

Can't tell you what to play, tbh. Concerning the population...I'm afraid empire outnumbers republic on pretty much all servers, at roughly 2:1. Make sure to choose a server tagged as Heavy otherwise the republic population issue will be like a punch in the gut.

Why empire for casuals. More people = higher chances to find groups, which is better for people who play 3 hours/week and don't wanna spam general chat for a group.
