  1. Really don't know what problem you have but i'm native German and for me 4pm is fine. People like me do have work you know and we don't sit 24/7 behind a game. Get over it..you'll survive maintanance or should even choose to rethink your thinking. Gosh..half the forum sounds like a bunch of kids to me who want their lolly back.
  2. I hope OP is a really bad joke. This system is the best and most user friendly i have ever seen. Or do you prefer to gather and craft everything yourself what easily consumes far more time because 1.) you have to find enough resources and 2.) you have to deal with mobs here and there and 3.) You have to run around to get them. And while you can do anything you want while your companions craft for you or gather materials it can't get easier the way it is now. No change needed
  3. I have toons on both sides and i like both sides. I'm on a very busy server but i mostly play Republic. Yeasterday together with a friend we bashed 3 Imperials on our level. Really i don't mind if there are more Imperials or more Republic players. Only thing i wish for is to see more on both sides crawling around. At present i don't see many players cross my path and thus being on a PvP server.
  4. Me and my friends aren't fooled by those "nay" sayers and we allready play and enjoy the game very much. We even subbed for half a year in advance. I've played countless MMO's from all those major ones like WoW and many Asian ones but SWTOR is really something fresh and new and not a carbon copy. It also has so much detail they put their love in. Just seing the creatures move is really impressive. Tatooine is one of my favorite planets and it looks and feels like in the movies. It's really a gigantic planet. This is my/our (speaking for me and my friends) MMO for a very long time
  5. Erm...fun or not but it's bad made..hope you don't get money for that
  6. But you don't see the ray shielding pop up if you fire torpedos at those targets. Suppose the better torps will do the trick.
  7. I fully agree. I love those huge Worlds and i hope they stay this way as they come or even get bigger In any case i hope get less and less restrictive like the first ones. Hope we get giant jungle worlds like Endor to freely roam about without having walls in our paths
  8. For Bioware they had to invent it for themself. Not the basic mechanic but making an MMO without a single line written prior. Compared to your car theory where all those companys exist for ages and allready have everything at their hands. And for the x time..just because it isn't in the game at present doesn't mean it won't be. Somewhere there are priorities set and from a logical part it's fixing bug now but not only will they fix bugs they are soon be adding content...show me 1 MMO that planed to release content this fast and on a regular basis? Do you really think they will turn a blind eye on one of those major MMO aspects like Warzones? I doubt it and it'll sure won't stay like it is. Would be foolish to assume otherwise. Conclusion...rage threads are pure nonsense if though through with logic.
  9. And another one who doesn't use his brain or doesn't know jack. 6 Years is nothing for an MMO and if you don't have a single scratch of code you have to make it from the ground up. The theory what exists is nothing if you have still to make it and if you haven't written a single line of code then be quiet about your crappy assumptions. Just because you spill millions into a project doesn't tell anything about it. And this game is tripple A standart. The freaking graphic engine is theirs in the state it is and has nothing more to do with the engine they have bought. But you seem to have missed this part of the news as well as the ability to grow some sense into your words. I never said it has no fails but i see it from a realistic point of view while you do not. Fixing bugs isn't like flipping a switch with "bugs off" on you. In the million lines of code you also won't finde a marked line in it with "bugged" written all over. Hell you really think that everything is like as easy as talking a walk in the park. Everything needs time to do and i'm sure they won't release patches on a 24 hour basis just to brake dozen other parts of the game. I'm sure they have a priority list what needs to be done first and as far even thou bugs are in the game, they aren't completly game braking. And don't start being a kid to act like a bug will NEVER be fixed. Same as all those kids that are screaming CONTEND blablabla...yeah..they hear you..they will do it..costs just time. And don't pull some excuses with this "fanboy" talk just because you don't know jack.
  10. Comparing it to cars is plain silly. You allready have models that you expand on while making a MMO from scratch where you have 0 done to use material from is very much different. And it's not like putting together some bits and pieces and that's all. Cars also don't have to invent the wheel and most other major parts but just change existing specifications. Try to think a bit harder bevor pulling something out of the hat that's pure nonsense. Because SWTOR doesn't have xy feature is surely because they focused on a different aspect at first. Do you thing that you just push a button and everything is done? All other MMO's might have this stuff polished out but lack in any major other part or are just a plain copy and paste with different textures where 90% of the community is fooled into believing that it's something new. Most MMO's have such crapy animations that it's inbelievable. Even the textures look 10 years old in most MMO's where SWTOR atleast started on a high level. And no person except for 0.1% read quest texts where it was a really brilliant move to make full VO. And why should someone even quit because there are no tiered WZ's? Doesn't mean it'll stay this way forever. And what did other MMO's have at start? Really nothing and more bugs than SWTOR. Be a bit more realistic. Every game needs time to be developed what doesn't mean that you get far more content at start than 10 years back but in this case we did. Did you think that Bioware is done here? No they aren't and they never did say that it's finished at start. Every MMO has an ongoing development until it is closed or can't afford it. And if you really honestly hold to your arguments then i get the impression that you really don't know anything.
  11. Have you come up with those points on your own or did you gather every negative posting and pushed it into this? I keep wondering what people like you don't understand about "new released MMO" vs. "10 year old MMO"? If i compare MMO's at their release date towards SWTOR it is by far the best with the most content. Your points are just minor and don't reflect the state of the game it will be in the future. And even the fact that Bioware pushed in Space Combat tied with ships and tied it into companion quest discusions and mission progression in the last moment is just a tiny bit of how fast they are and to how much they are dedicated to give us as much as possible in a rather short timeframe. If you can't even see and put together all those pieces and are rage quitting like a 5 year old than it's the best for the community to not have you around. Same goes for all the others with similar threads as yours
  12. I did and your numbers are 1.) plain wrong and 2.) are far away from any asian MMO. and far most 3.) play any other MMO and you'll see how much you really have to grind in others compared to this miniscule bit in SWTOR. How about you make some truthfull comparisions and not someones that are as far from the truth as Earth is from the center of the Milky Way.
  13. Because all those other classes are hero classes aswell and not some ordinary grunt class. We all are the top line of our class and thus they can hold their own. And as a side note you should dive into the Star Wars background. Although Jedi/Sith are feared/respected they by far aren't immortal and many other's have killed jedi/sith through the stories. Do you even know how many Jedi hunters there have been who where successfull at what they did?
  14. Hi there Just wanted to throw my feedback in here. I like the design of the game from a visual style. I has much detail and i really love Tattooine. Also the nicely animated creatures/NPC's have been done with much love to detail. But they really should move a little more. Most of the game is to static. It really needs some life to it. I love to Quest together with my buddy to see how our dialogs and story go together. It's really funny how the story evolves if you do all the quests with 2 people from beginning till the end. Funniest is our Jedi/Smuggler combo. Me as the good guy who is willing to help all for free while the smuggler of my buddy keeps us either getting us in trouble or is asking for some "motivation" to do something. It's really fun to have such a controversial team. Compared to other MMO's i really like it that "quests" are always centered around a location and if your done with one you'll get the next bunch of quests at the next location. No more running back and forth across the map to gather different quests that give you just couple of quests versus 1 hour running time. Only negative thing i've seen so far is that there isn't much going on. I don't see many players crossing my path and i never had to fight against the opposite side in contested territories. And i'm on one of those heavy loaded servers. To instanced? Can't say anything against crafting. So far it's fluid and usefull. Constantly am making new stuff to upgrade my characters. Wish there would be something like a shared store for all your characters abord your ship/bank. Sending back and forth and constanly switching chars to compare is a bit tedious. I can't really say that having limited planets and not open ended/wrapped around one is bad nor that it's good. From a Star Wars fan perspective i wish they wouldn't be limited so that i could roam the desert nearly unlimited and finding hidden caves with different wonders or some desolated towns on the far reaches of tattooine. It just adds to immersion. You don't have to do it but you CAN...that's the big difference. Maybe it's one of those things i still miss from Star Wars Galaxies where i could build my own house far far away on a planet. Make it personal through decoration and setting up a shop. It really made you attach to it. Far more than what i have with the ship now where i know that every other jedi has the 100% same ship. Ok so next is my own ship. It's nicely done but theres not much to do inside of it. At first i thought you would atleast be able to gather your crew at will and give them tasks but it's not that way. They always are at the same place and your meeting room is only usable for certain crew quest discussions. My personal room isn't that personal. And you only keep running between the holo terminal, bridge and locker to put stuff in. What i really like is the galaxy map and how you travell there (animated bridge window). That brings me to the next point. I wish i could go there a bit more by myself. How about making a space around planets where you could fly around in 3rd person view like in combat, pick up missions or go to travell nodes that connect places for A to B travell. It would be breath a bit more life into space and it's an integral part of Star Wars. Why am i supposing this is because you really can't feel a War going on. Neither on ground nor in Space. What Old Republic really needs is some sort of ever changing and interactive surrounding. Assaults on towns/locations. Battles and planetary Assaults in Space to simulate this massive war. Imagine you'd have a massive imperial Fleet moving towards Tattoine and you are able to counter this space based PvP scenario. If you fail to defend against it it continues on the ground where republic settlements are being attacked. If you fail to defend them they'll be in imperial hand for some time. Those settlements could be retaken through force. Maybe such settlements could offer various stuff to buy and special faction bonus or whatever. Quest settlements could stay neutral and non contested to serve as a safe hub. If we expand the planets we could easily make these regions into some sort of territory control game to really keep some battles going. This is just an example as to what could be done. There could be many different kinds of planetary events with changing conditions. Maybe during a planetary assault you could see massive captiatal ships visible in the sky as an added feel to immersion that something is going on while you move on the ground. PvP at the moment is "nice". It's weel done and i have played some rounds but everything plays in it's "own" location. Nothing is really connected together and that's what i think should be. There should really be a feelable connection between PvP Battlegrounds, Space and Ground to really get the feeling of the War that's going on and to feel some life in the game. What i can say as conclusion is that the game is great as it is but it's far to streamlined and lifeless at present. Because it's a fresh new MMO i don't assume that it comes with all the stuff that other long running MMO's allready have because they had the time to expand. But i have high hopes that much will be added and done with the old republic because as it is it is high quality regarding an MMO in every aspect. For a starter it's really brilliant and has such gigantic potential for expansion. Keep it up Bioware. You have my support
  15. Aren't you a bit early to ask? I couldn't care less for such unimportant stuff but to be honest you... a.) won't get a release date from anyone and... b.) it will take a great deal of time to be realistic...bevor they throw in new content you'll see improvements regarding waiting lines and bug fixes. Then i would imagine you'll have to wait a year bevor the first bigger content comes out.
