  1. I am on Frostclaw now... server is crowded and English.
  2. Yes, this is the way it should be. But sadly it is not always like that.
  3. I am German and I will play the game in English, the German translation simply sucks compared to the English voiceover. So I want to play on an English European PVE server without having a language barrier. I dont want to speak ingame with other Germans having to translate and retranslate skill and abilitynames. And I dont want to see (lotsof) global chat that I cant understand, no matter what language, and then not being able to group with a relevantly huge part of the serverpopulation because they simply dont speak English in groupchat. And I dont want to be (or at least feel) ignored in global or group chat when I speak English myself. To those who havent understood the point yet. THIS GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH RACISM. I dont not care about that. This is only about my very personal game experience. Back in my EQ and VG days I loved playing on US servers in an Asian guild and I am very sad that Saviours dont come to SWTOR but sticks to fantasy style games only. Picking a random US server wont avoid this issue. Obviously some US servers will become unofficial Portoguese, Spanish, Oceanic etc servers. So Frostclaw sounds like a good choice, yes? Any more info about The Red Eclipse? Dutch and Scandinavian folks are generally very good at speaking English. Also note: English folks cant "claim" a server, only the "others" can do that. In English you can claim as much as you want all day long, as soon as there are enough others on your server that wont speak English at all, its over and done.
  4. Yes, flawless logic... so you go ahead and sue BW for a refund for every beta and EGA day you havent been allowed to play. Yes, EGA was planned like this. But when you ordered BW told you that and BW told you about the staggering of waves. BW made the EGA a gift (as in something you do not pay for) instead of going a for taking money from the getgo and without most people being able to play, due to login queque und server crashes, even though everyone gets charged for their starring at the queque screens fun time. If you do not like the EGA and feel cheated out off your free to play extra week, go ahead and cancel your pre-order. Please do so. Also folks stated that it takes a day to make lvl50... by that logic, getting in 3 days late only means making 3 less lvl50 alts to be on the same page as first wavers.
  5. Are you being a bit silly, flamming a post that you obviously neither read nor understood? The post describes some WOW (expansion?) launch and that rather accurately, I believe. Also you are outdated.. game launch day is global on teh 20th. amazon german did ship the game box this morning, others already got theirs yesterday. GOOD JOB on that piece of logistics, BW! So I am rather amused to read that many US players wont get their box before the 20th... if their postman is fast enough. And BW cancelled the grace period. 8) My first MMORPG experience was with Everquests Kunark expansion... installed the game, couldnt log in for days and when I could do finally I found out that I needed a credit card to play. Being a typical German young (*cough* unemployed) adult back in the days I certainly had none and thanks to a loving and understanding mum, who ordered a credit bank from her bank just so I could use it, I was able to play a week later. Vanguard had an open beta week before a couple of days long EGA, cant remember tooo long login times back then. But the number of players who complainted that they couldnt play (grafic engine was very very taxing even on lowest settings) was legion. However, I did pre-order the game the first day that was possible to me, which was when BW announced the monthly fees. (I dont buy anything that I do not know the price of!) I expect being able to play sometime this weekend, hopefully earlier. Right now people have the psycological impression of being in a "race" with those who can start later missing out on the chance of being a top-player. Those of us, who get in very late, will have to overcome this feeling ingame or will quit the game... thats the dark side of any hype, people get their hopes up way too high and thus may get disappointed easily beyond "repair", not giving the game the chance that it deserves.
