They are on Belsavis in the lvl 50 daily areas. Not neccesarily Heroic areas. I have had better luck in the area up north by the world boss. I find them as I run the dailies. They show up on your minimap as perfect Upari crystals and when you gather them you get a perfect one and regular ones.

You can mail things between faction within your legacy. It would be easier for one person or the other to simplay make a lvl 1 toon on the other side and mail stuff back and forth. Assuming that you don't already have toons on both sides. Saves time and money.

You can buy a light armor belt from the Fleet Comm Vendor. My Shadow has the pilot one. Legacy belts/bracers are legacy level 10 and legacy lvl 20 I believe. No character level requirement that I am aware of. Otherwise class specific ones are world drops that occasionally come up on the GTN.

Do you have any proof that purple schematics are not available? Because the BW Devs have said otherwise. They say teh truth is out there. We just need to find it. Anyways, Fleet Comms are pretty easy to get. I am going to try a variety of boxes and hope I find something usefull.

The blue lvl 6 boxes or the purple lvl 7 boxes? You said lvl 6, but your pic shows the lvl 7 ones circled.

Interesting, but not really neccesary. I too bought all three magenta recipes and now find them useless. I am still keeping artifice. And this change won't get me my creds back. As mentioned with the legacy system you can easily have an alt with each skill and freely send stuff back and forth. I would much rather BW spend time and money on other problems than this.

Why? Just because noone has found the recipe yet and some people did not but a purple crystal when they had the chance? I kept very close tabs on the purple crystals since they even mentioned the vendor. They said the schematic would be around to find. But never did they say it would be easy or common. They also made no bones about exactly when the vendor was going to disappear. Smart people bought the crystal from the vendor when it was available. It was around for a couple of months so that would've given most people plenty of time to get the money to buy one. If you chose not to or chose to wait then you took a gamble and lost. Myself, I bought one for my lvl 50 shadow and bought a few extra for my lowbies who are still leveling. My lvl 30 Guardian has one in her bank right now. There is a saying out there among those who deal with customers, Piss poor planning on your part does not constitue an emergency on mine. I am sure that BW is probably thinking along those lines, though they would say it much more politely. Myself, I think that all the color crystals should be reasonably obtained, including purple. I am frustrated that there has been no word on the schematic. But I planned ahead and have my crystals. So man up and realise you missed your chance and quit asking BW to fix a non-existant problem by just handing you what you want. Eventually the purple schematics will be found and life will go on.

I really think the colors should all be available without too much trouble. Maybe make then a bit tougher like the magenta's, but if someone spends a little effort (or cash on the GTN) they should be able to get pretty much whatever they want. In fact making the "rare" colors similar to the Magenta crystals to aqcuire and make would be pretty ideal. Rare enough that they won't flood the market, but common enough that you can probably find one or someone to make you one. That said I have already made millions of credits from selling purple crystals that I bought from the vendor. And as long as I am the only one on my server (Vornskr) selling them I can ask as much as I want for them. I really want to get the schematic, but as long as it hasn't been found I am making money.

They are not impossible. And they did have a purple crystal vendor for awhile.

EQ was interesting and fun and got me into the genre. But all those things that people are reminiscing about were complete PITAs. Corpse runs? Really? Having to camp an area for hours on end? Absolutely zero soloing for the vast majority of the players? No thanks. Need I really go on? It was cool because it was the only thing out there. But if WOW and EQ came out at the same time most everyone would be playing WOW. I am grateful for EQ to be the ground breaker. Because of EQ and WOW we have games like TOR now. But I would never, ever want to go back and play. I actually tried. Twice. And both times hated it. But if you do want to go back it is free to play now! LOL For giggles I logged on and my Paladin is still there after all these years.

It has been confirmed? I don't buy it till you give us more information. The only thing that has been confirmed to my knowledge is that they exist in the game and Bioware has said that 'the truth is out there' on the sites. But if the truth is out there it must be covered up by the US government or something.

I have been doing just fine selling basic color crystals. I can sell them for about double of what the mats sell for. They sell slower than before 1.2, but still steadily. Even low level crystals sell well because people leveling want to upgrade and you can;t buy those with plent comms. And as previously mentioned, any oranges with augment slots do well. I have been making more money after 1.2 than I was before.

I disagree with the OP. A bidding system would suck. I also played WOW since it launched and always bought what I wanted with the buyout price and sold with the buyout price. Bidding took too long, especially as a buyer. I wanted to get my gear and get out to actually playing. Not camp an item in the AH for two days. The rare times I would actually bid is if I saw something really cheap that I didn't need right away or planned on reselling. But I would just toss on a bid and go. I wasn;t going to camp the item. If you really want to set up an auction just set up your own auction channel and have people join it who are interested. On the flip side I have mailed offers to people for items on the GTN I thought were a bit high priced. And so far most of them have accepted my offer.

Read the May 4th Q&A. It states there are purple crystals (not sure about cyan), but they are not easy or trivial to get. Also discussed Green and Orange lvl 50 crystals.

@James Ohlen I thought the Event was alot of fun. The best time I had was farming DNA with the Imps with our PVP flags on. It was fun to chat to the other side and when our eyes started to glow we attacked! it was fun until someone came along and started killing people for fun. Getting cool pets was fun as was the ability to get some other color crystals and a new armor set. A few things I did not like though: Some my guildies only log on on weekends. They were not able to do alot of the quests for the armors. But most of them were able to get DNA for a pet or crystal even if they only had a few hours left. I had problems with my PVP flag. One boss was in a PVP zone and we also had some PVP to try and farm DNA. That was fine, but my PVP flag would stay on for a very long time. I don't mind a 5 minute timer, but the timer should actually work. It was also really lame when I logged out in a cantina or on my ship and it was still there when I logged back in. I know this is a PVP issue, not an event issue, but parts of the event brought it to the forefront for me. Anyways, I hope my feedback is helpful and I look forward to many more events in the future.

My GTN Search button IS broken. LOL

Go to the GTN and buy some 340 TH missions. You get all sorts of stuff back. I am finding them on my server for 15-20K. and the stuff I get from them or make from the mats are more than enough to pay for itself. Usually I can make 2-4x the cost of the mission from the mats I get back. Crit craft a color crystal and I make even more. As for missions I believe they refresh every 5 minutes or so. No need to zone or anything. I have had them pop up in between sending out companions.

Color crystals from Artifice are decent sellers. For treasure hunting do the lvl 6 abundant missions for purple and blue gems. Or buy crafting missions on the GTN and then sell the stuff you get. On my server the missions are about 20K and the Corusca Gems alone sell for about 30K. Then whatever you can make off the other stuff is just a bonus.

I would invest in crit and endurance crystals. Especially if you are on a PVE server. I bought and sold purple and cyan crystals in the month or so leading up to 1.2. I bought them on the cheap side and sent them to my alts on the other side and undercut the vendor. (Purple crystals were twice as much on the Pub side and vice versa for Cyan) I sold about 90 crystals and the crit ones were the most popular by far. Half or more of those I sold were crit ones. Endurance was the second most popular. Noticably more popular than the power ones. I had a hard time selling the expertise ones. The few I bought ended up being sold at nearly cost so I stopped trying. With 1.2 I also artifice and have made some crystals to sell. Again, the crit ones are the most popular. All the stats are available for artificers for people who only care about stats. People will be buying your black green crystals for the look. So my recomendation is to get ones that most people will want. Crit and endurance. As I said, I am on a PVE server. Not sure if a PVP server would vary or not.

After accidentally deleting about 240K creds from a GTN auction I was wondering why there is no warning box if you accidentally click the delete button instead of the cash button. Adding one to the in game mail system would be really nice. Better yet, if you do delete a in game mail with creds you automatically loot them. If you delete a mail with money from a person it goes back to them. I have done that, too, fortunately it was my own alt. But a mail with creds from the GTN goes poof. If you delete an email with an item attached then you get a warning window. But not so with cash. I tried to get in game help with this issue, but they said there was nothing they could do, but I should send my suggestion here. Hopefully this is easy to fix as I am not sure why anyone would ever want to delete credits.

I have sold over 40 purple crystals on the republic side. I haven't tried to do the cyan ones on the imp side. not sure if there is enough demand for it. People keep asking me how I can afford to sell purple crystals for 200K. I just tell them they fell off a starfrieghter. I'm actually considering buying a bunch of crystals and waiting till 1.2 comes out. It sounds like the recipes will not be common or too easy to get. I think you could sell them for even more money when the vendor is gone.

Anyone know where the new recipes are located in PTS? Particularly for the color crystals. I found the new shadow tank shield recipes on the trainer, but did not notice any other new recipes.

Dual specs shouldn't be too far off. That will solve your should I tank or should I DPS problem.
