  1. the only thing i really want changed is our aoe knockback. i really really hate this skill. it is soooo frustrating to fire this off, have someone else knock you back instead after you used yours, yours goes on CD and your the only one knocked back. its also extremely iffy to time correctly. project is fine, yeah it gets left hanging sometimes but i love the burst in pvp.
  2. its going down right when i get out of work, boo, and then they are taking the servers down the very next day for maintenance, boo. oh well, at least i have today to prepare.
  3. i refuse to give qyzen any gear, i think hes in the same lvl 25 scrub gear i left him in when i stopped using him. the sets you used are the same ones i used btw. what i like about the medic gear for tharan is he doesnt have energy so all that alacrity is actually realy nice for him. pvp gear may not be ideal, but its easy to come by, i have 2 fully champ geared companions and one half geared, rest are centurian.
  4. dont open with spinning kick, theres no real reason too. open with CS x2 then lowslash or force stun them then unload. if they pop CDs to mitigate your burst right after 2x CS, keep using CS or slow them, or kite them or force cloak untill they wear off, then spinning kick out of stealth and unload. regarding finding people in stealth, thats all based on your stealth level, if they have stealth detection or not, who is using blackout and just dumb luck. dont forget you need to have a stealth person in your frontal cone of vision to see them. btw regarding armor, take the shadow veil talent and is like having medium armor wich is what ops/marauders have. the thing we have operatives dont is our DPS isnt based on opening out of stealth, we dont even need stealth. that and we have force speed to close gaps on ppl.

  6. maybe this doesnt count as unorthadox but id like to see sever force's damage increased. unless your talking about a tank with a very high armor ratiing forcebreach, wich is spammable, does more damage. since it has a cooldown maybe make it a aoe dot with 3 target max, to synergize with force in balance. for infiltration, ive always felt that all it needed was a little self healing. if you look at a infiltration shadow and a watchmen sent, both in reality are going to be tasked with taking down healers in pvp. sentinel gets a healing debuff and has self healing on dots as well as a shorter interupt cd. if we could say instead of debuff healing recieved wich might be op, instead leach a percentage of the healing to ourselves. it would make us alot more formidable to a healer if they can survive our initial butst and not really change anything 1v1.
  7. i would like to see something dynamic such as when your combat technique heals you it also reapplys one stack to your kinetic ward. id also like to see the stack size increased to at least 10. so anyway, you would still have to watch your stacks, still have to apply it before combat, but you wouldnt have to sit there and constantly refresh it wich is just tedious. it would also allow more value to the rapid recovery talent that enable your combat technique to trigger more often and provide more synergy with the battle readiness cooldown.
  8. if you take the stalker gear off and put survivor gear on youll notice those numbers plummet. if you change the dps of the tank spec and just add more threat to compensate, playing a proper tank will be painfull while leveling or soloing. what i wouldnt be supprised to see though is having them make force in balance require force technique.
  9. get the offhand, its actually an upgrade, after that helm and gloves. the weapon is considered to be a downgrade
  10. i tank in 31/0/10 and swap my dps gear on when we only need one tank. havent had a problem with enrage timers (although were not that far into HMs) so far and makes life easier IMHO. i tried tanking in infiltration spec, just swapping stances and it was horrid. absolutely no force management, all i could do was taunt on cooldown. if you want to spec dps and just throw on a tank stance, id try balance.
  11. i take shadowy viel, kinetic field, and jedi resistance in my infiltration build. i have 25% kinetic/energy mitigation with shadowy veil on, 20% with it off. the majority of damage that gets tossed out in WZs IS mitigated by armor. most of it bypasses defences, but its still mitigated. the only class i can think of that really really bypasses armor is a powertech pyrotech where railshot (talented for 90% armor pen) and rocket punch are the only kinetic/energy damage they do (in their normal rotation). yeah there are other classes that do internal damage, ops/rauders do but alot of their main hits are still kinetic or weapon damage. you do more DPS the longer your alive. 5% isnt a ton but it helps. if i were balance, well that would be different. its more of a kite build and i wouldnt have to sit in aoe to get kills. id also have self healing as well, something infiltration lacks.
  12. BM tokens go away in 1.2 you will only be able to trade them for random stuff. if you can buy the gear now, youll need it to swap for warhero gear or honestly park your toon and just wait till the BM gear gets easier to get.
  13. good video, fighting a sent/maruader that knows how to use their defensive CDs almost seems unfair but i suppose its the same for us when we have force potency/relics/adrenals up. lucky for me most you run either dont have their CDs up or arent spart enough to use them like that.
  14. wow, way to stay on topic guys. when i hit 60, i had 1k merc/1k wz comms banked, i bought my ear peice and implants that day. soon after, i had 1k/1k again so i could buy a BM comm. i waited to turn in my dailies and weeklys for that week/day untill after i hit BM, and have since done my dailies / weeklys every day since then as well as bought maybe one or 2 other BM comms. not counting ear/implants x 2 i have BM bracers, OH, helm, chest, gloves, boots. that still leaves legs, belt, weapon wich is what i said originally i havent purchased yet. ive been BM for around a couple weeks or so i really dont remember, ive probably gotten 20 or so bags in that time frame so im guessing if its 2 weeks or so thats roughtly 50% from BM bags on getting a token.
  15. personally im getting as much BM gear as i can and just wearing it as is for now because the stats are getting fixed in 1.2. i dont see it worth the money to fix them. im 65 now, and only have a few peices left to buy, legs, belt, saber because they are all so horribly bad compared to champ ive saved those for last. my reasoning is that youll need the BM gear to trade in for WH gear and as soon as 1.2 hits i dont want to be farming peices of BM gear in regular WZ, i wanna be working towards WH gear in rateds. also the BM tokens wont be worth much in 1.2 either, might as well spend them now.
  16. yeah i dont get it, are KC tanks in dps gear strong, yeah i play one, they are. can guardians/vanguards do just as well in a tank build with dps gear, heck yeah. i also have a powertech and in dps gear they are just as capable at pumping out dps while tanking using either a shield/pyro or shield/AP hybrid build and guards are just as good running defence/vigilance. all of these classes are capable of putting out good damage as well as utility push/pull/charge/aoe stun/sprint/defencive cds, they all an assortment of them. if BW wants to start balancing tank damage based off what you can do in DPS gear, then in pve tanking is gonna get fubared unless you raise their passive threat through the roof, then people in true tank gear will basically never be able to kill anything.
  17. you need to be in combat basically for the guaranteed crit on project, this is where alot of your damage comes in. also one thing to keep in mind is that almost all of kinetics damage is well, kinetic and even though its mostly all force it still mitigated by armor. force breach is internal but doesnt hit that hard so focus on medium to light armor classes and youll do alot more damage. were not the best class for bursting down a tank. smugglers/ops or pyro BH/assault vanguards does alot better
  18. the 5% damage loss is melee bonus damage. almost all of your dps comes from force powers, project, slow time, telekenetic throw. double strike is affected but it is really filler for activating procs. the only thing that is affected that youd notice is spinning strike (or whatever the 30% hp finnisher is called) but that still hits for over 4k on soft targets and when timed with a project is basically going to finnish of someone for sure. i personally do very good damage in combat, 300-400k in spamstar, 250-300 in alderan or huttball if im not ballrunning.
  19. force breach doesnt really hit that hard but it is internal damage and it does have a 10m range so it has its uses. i use on cooldown in aoe situations but single target, id rather use something else. i do find however that it works well on on a guardian/jugg thats a tank. being force/internal it seems to be more effective than all our other attacks that can be avoided or are kinetic damage. oh and i exclusively use a focus, i really play my KC as a DPS. im survivable enough that i dont need the extra defence but that will vary based on the level of play you get on your server.
  20. any idea on the stats of the new BM gear, i know its expertise basically doubles, but did they change anything stat wise?
  21. i dont understand, from dulfys page and ive seen it from other people they are saying that battlemaster gear no longer has a valor requirement but in the patch notes the only thing to this effect it said was that the valor requirement was being removed from the BM earpeice and implants.
  22. yeah like i said, i knew i was missing something. particle accel buff requires CT to be active... thats alot of our dps right there so yeah thats my answer.
  23. great, this is exactly what i was looking for as i seem to have fallen into the OT spot. i origionally specced infiltration and put on tank gear/combat stance when we needed an OT but wasnt happy with the results. now im 31/0/10 spec so i can actually tank in my tank gear but for the DPS portion (wearing dps gear) i was wondering if i should swap out of combat and into force tech. i was thinking i would do more melee dps and not have to worry about pulling aggro? i cant see why not but i feel like im missing something.
  24. i do this every chance i get. you can also do this in alderan if the middle people are being too aggressive and chasing you to the landing pad. its especially good at breaking up little camping parties the other team is having in your endzone. the best was when i grappled a player JUST as they were about to recieve a pass and score.
