  1. Where is the ability to purchase increases to the CREDIT CAP? The game is unplayable with a 350,000 credit limit. You are going to continue to hemorrhage players until you let F2P players purchase increases in the cap.
  2. My brother, myself, and a friend of ours all played this game from launch. We unsubbed back in Oct/Nov right after we got our cartel coin bonuses. Spent all of our coins. One of us even bought $15 worth of coins beyond that. We quit playing mid December-ish because the game is unplayable with a 350,000 credit cap and we all thought it was complete BS that we couldn't purchase increases in the credit cap when so much else can be bought. Hell we all would have paid 1000 cartel coins per 100,000 credit increase even. All of our characters (around 3-4 each) had over 700,000 credits EACH. All that money cannot be used by us. All the money we make we cannot use. Too many items in the GTN are not accessible to us. Good game, EAware. Instead of keeping us subbed or just keeping us around as F2P making cartel purchases (maybe even more than $15 per month worth), we have all now moved on to other games on principle. If you wait much longer to offer an increase to the credit cap we will be gone for good. I am sure there are thousands of players just like us that you will lose as well. Pull your collective heads out and do something about this.
  3. Make it cost 11,000 (yes, eleven thousand) cartel points. High enough, that a few people who really want it will pay for it, but it won't result in significant numbers of players switching a la FOTM whenever class abilities are changed. I say the same thing (although not quite as expensive) for gender changes, name changes, and race changes.
  4. I would go as far to say that this is more responsible than any other single factor for why this game took a dump and went from 1.5 million+ at launch to a couple hundred thousand subs today.
  5. Another list of missing F2P features that, as usual, completely misses the point. Why? Because you can at least purchase those things with a few cartel coins to get them. Sprint, Quick Travel, and UI items just require one small purchase and then you have them. The biggest eff-up on Bioware's part is the ridiculously low 200,000 credit cap for F2P players and 350,000 credit cap for preferred players. No way to unlock or purchase a larger credit cap. The game is completely unplayable once you hit level 20ish with such pitiful credit caps. Pure idiocy.
  6. The F2P without the ability to purchase increases to the paltry 350,000 credit cap is a dealbreaker. I can't play with such a ridiculously low credit cap and I'll be damned if I am going to be forced to subscribe to a supposedly free2play game in this way. Way to screw the pooch, Lie-o-ware.
  7. By that line of reasoning, there is zero incentive for them to offer subscribers 500 free coins per month either. There are considerations other than the $ or they wouldn't be giving subs free coins every month. Case in point (and really what started me thinking along these lines): HK-51. Once you have completed the quest, you can either pay 1,000,000 credits or pay 350 cartel coins for it. This suggests that Bioware/EA has made a decision of sorts to equate 1 million in game credits to 350 cartel coins. This is an exchange rate of around 2850 credits per cartel coin (close to what I was suggesting). Why do they give up the revenue they would gain from these 350 cartel coins by allowing players to purchase this item for 1 million in-game credits? And, if they are going to allow this here, why not either allow for other cartel shop purchases to be made with credits? Why not even allow a straight up exchange (for subscribers)? How many people do you honestly think will exchange credits for coins if the exchange rate is 2800:1?
  8. Yes, I see that. I was thinking more in terms of allowing subscribers to do it at a very unfavorable exchange rate along the lines of 2,000 or 3,000 credits for a single cartel coin. Just as a benefit for subscribers. Maybe this will come later.
  9. You missed my point. I know that we will be able to buy CC coins with real life cash. What I want to know is if we will be able to buy them with in-game credits? In other words, if my character has 2,000,000 million credits could I purchase 1000 cartel coins that way instead of with real life money?
  10. My suspicion is that this will not be allowed but I was wondering if we will be allowed to purchase cartel coins with credits. Perhaps at a very unfavorable rate like 2000 credits per cartel coin or something like that.
  11. Please allow us to purchase increases in the credit cap with cartel coins. My friends and I were planning to come back to this game as F2P players. We all have 2 level 30-ish toons. I would say all of us had well over 200,000 credits are each of our toons well before we even hit level 30. Some of us have over 2 million credits on 2 level 30+ toons. The game is unplayable with such a paltry credit cap. You need to increase it or let us purchase increases in it with cartel coins. Otherwise we won't be able to play. We can't be unique in this respect. I am sure there are tens of thousands of players who won't play with such a ridiculously low credit cap and who won't be forced into subscribing either. Why alienate so many players when it's a simple fix?
  12. This. 1000 cartel coins for the CE version is basically a slap in the face and comes nowhere near making up for what a total fail the CE version was. They should be giving those with the CE version 10,000 additional cartel coins to start but since Bioware/EA sees their customers as "marks" to be exploited of course that isn't happening. Plus all of the crying on these forums if CE players received 10,000 coins would have drown out everything else anyway.
  13. I just saw this out on dulfy.net as well. This is a deal-breaker for me and my friends. We were going to come back to the game as F2P but if our accounts have a 200,000 credit limit when we already have an average of 1 million credits each spread across each of our 2 level 30ish toons, we will just move on to another game. Too many things cost well over 200,000 credits via vendors or the GTN. Unless we can make a cartel coin purchase to increase that credit cap to like half a million or a million we won't be able to play. Not much point in even making the game F2P if they are going to effectively force a full subscription with such a ridiculously low credit cap. Bioware really needs to rethink this one. They are potentially going to lose tens of thousands of F2P players who would have been making occasional cartel coin purchases. They need to either increase the cap to like 500,000 or let us purchase increases in 100,000 credit increments. Hell, they can make it as draconian as they want (say 1000CC for every 500,000 credit increase) but they need to make the increase possible without subscriptions or they will lose many, many players.
  14. 20,000 through level 15 is no big deal. 200,000 is too little for even a level 35 toon, in my opinion. Bioware really needs to rethink not having purchasable credit cap increases at the launch of F2P. Tens of thousands are probably planning to go from sub to F2P in the coming weeks and just won't play if they can't purchase a larger credit ceiling and additional character slots from the get go. I see no indication that either of these "unlocks" will be in the shop when F2P hits.
  15. Anybody know whether that's per character or per account? Per character would be reasonable, per account would not in my opinion. Boy, either way, I really hope they allow us to purchase like 500,000 credit increases in that cap for like 200 CCs or something. I am not going to sub any more but I won't play free with such a tiny cap either unless I can use coins to unlock or increase it.
