  1. well in thsi game they dev seem to be balancing based on team as opposed to 1v1. e.g a half decent sniper will completely murder a mara/sent - well forgive me if im wrong but you play a scoundrel/op? during a fight with a mara when you are low on health you can flashbang and heal to full, if they break that then you can stun their UR. If they dotn break it then their dealing with totally recoevered enemy. Sounds fair to me - maras are more screwed by roots/snares than any other class (including jugg), only carnage maras specced into it can remove roots with 45sec force camo. - maras are a frontline class, they cannot hang back like a range toon they have to be in the thick of things. Medium armour will melt in thsi situation to the point it would be unplayable. So they have a lot of defensive skills to keep them alive in that frontline role. - vanguard/pt can actually hurt people from range, a deep pyro can actually do very nasty damage from range. Also they can initiate and pull the target to their location. In this way they can better avoid placing themselves into dangerous situation. - ravage is one ability it takes somethign like 3 seconds to channel, only carnage roots with this channel, a mara cannot stun you and hit you. while in my view it does hit perhaps too hard for a rage free ability. It really isnt hard to get out of range
  2. yeah there is an issue, its the insane amount of unjustified nerf mara/sent posts in the fourm. It actually ruins the pvp forum and literally turns the community onto itself.

  5. ah right so because your teammates are ignorant of class mechanics then a class should take a nerf to compensate for that...lol you dont see what wrong with that do you? umm jugg tanks are in a different league of survivability to maras. dps juggs? well they are dps juggs so havign a tank tree option has nothing to do with the survival compared to another dps tree? also dps juggs easily have comparable survival to maras, alongside def cd's they can intercede to friendlies, chill push/combo etc.. juggs are an awesome class I dont think you will find many who are unhappy with how they compare to maras. ah so at the end of it you think assassin tanks are too strong? so are you calling for nerf to sin tanks?
  6. give up, the OP is grasping, he came in here with one arguement. ppl posted screenshots of other classes with even higher dps making him look completely inept. Now he TOTALLY SWTICHED his point clinging onto someone else post complaining about their defense now instead of their dps. and the funniest thing this is all based off massive heal fest wz where nobody dies lmao

  8. come on dude, you start thread highlighting damage numbers with this one sent, you said other classes cannot hit those numbers, hele images were even posted showign that wasnt the case. do you see the common factor betwen all of these high damage games? healbots, in these kind of healfests where a certain player can just pump out damage continuously while getting healed thsi is what happens. hell this is why healing got a nerf, cos these type of games became so common it actually was game breaking. stop picking on individual clases and recognise this scenario is possible with most clases in right circumstances

  10. exactly this, it feels liek the people who make the game are so detached from the people that play it, and to me that just makes no sense at all, you would think they would want to engage with playerbase to get things right. I bet actually some of them do want this, but management policy is very strict on posting information to community. It was only recently where I saw an obscure post that I was even aware there was a community manager lol

  12. i guess i didnt just post this because i wanted ot specific answers to questions, but more to highlight the imo woeful lack of coommunications with community. and to poster above I think you could say its pointless because bioware dont seem to reply to anything.... but like i said they would save themselves a lot of grief if they would change their polivy on that. Because merges/transfers are something A LOT of poeple are waiting for and should in theory be very happy when they get them. But unless Bioware handle it properly it will end up being another one to add to the list for the bioware naysayers.

Hi, ok so server merges/transfers I have some questions regarding this and while it is pretty optomistic to expect a straight response from Bioware rep, i really want to stress Biowares silence on the subject really really hurts their image and this is coming from someone who really loves the game (after I re-rolled onto populated server) Their handling of server merges/tranfers so far has really been very destructive to the game and community and they can actually help themselves out if they just start this giving information on this now instead of later. We all knwo when megres/transfers come their will inevitably be an utter **** storm of complaints on the forums, some un avoidable but others totally avoidable. Seriously bioware, help yourselves out, when you do it please get it right and actually discuss this with community in advance. Soo when the time comes what factors matter to you most? 1. What happens if i level a character on a server get the legacy and then want to transfer toon to server where I already have legacy? The issue of names is very significant as it appleis to character/legacy/guild etc.. 2. What happens if I have eight toons on a server and they merge that server with one I already have toons on? 3. What wil come first transfers/merges? heck will they server merge at all? 4. If I want to transfer toons to server but that server is blocked from transfer due to population, will I have priority if i already have re rolled toons on said server? 5. What about price, will I have to pay to transfer a character, will i have to pay per character? These are maybe pretty trivial matters to some, but honestly they are gona handle it one way or another and like i said can avoid some serious upset if they just make it clear. What questions if any do you have re merges/transfers?

  19. this game does seem to have fundmental performace issues. bad loading times and horrible lag with any more than 20 players involved. I hope they can somehow fix this but I doubt it
  20. come on now you describe a situation where you attack a turret with two healers each guarded by tanks, plus one more (presumably dps) and they lost out to two sent/maras? from this description do you see what others will see in this op?

  22. yeah but come on, now you are describing a 1v1 sutation turning into to a 2v1 situation. A healer turning up out of nowhere will often turn the tide of a battle. But with force cloak you are permanetly (as opposed to 5 secs UR)in stealth so you can still escape death. there are often situations where a perma stealth escape is better than temporary invuln for 5 secs. lets say instead you were fighting a assassin instead you about to kill him then he perma stealth escapes, then healer turns up keeps you occupied while he can recover. heck with a sin he could feasibly mind trap you and seethe his health up. I seen it happen to me just when im about to finish someone off, I dont think its abusing an op ability, its using the tools available and next time i can make sure I dont escape on the wrong stun before they pull that trick. either way you describe a 1v1 which you cant balance a team pvp on, then a players gets support which makes their ability OP? come on thats not reasonable
  23. right and thats what im saying, I dont believe op can call maras OP because of their popularity and if something has taken a 'sudden and sharp' increase in popularity, that just means they may be 'preceived' as Op not that they actually are OP Also judging balance based on popularity/spikes will never work, if something is over/under powered you shouldnt need to see its popularity to decide if that si the case. Also why are maras/pt's gettign so much attention form nerf whiners like op? how about because their are so many sorcs/sage out there of course they are going to complain about their natural counters. Hoenstly I dont have a solid opinion on whether sin tanks are op as I havent played one myself, (but the idea of a tank that heals itself does seem odd to me) but so far I havent had an encounter with a sin tank where I got my arse kicked and felt this was due to them being OP. In this game classes thrive when there natural counters are in low numbers. and no wonder natural mara/sent counter is a sniper which is the most rare class in the game by miles.

  25. ok I just say fracking because ppl tell me I swear to much so i try to break the habit. right so 'The fact that it's OP leads an unusually large amount of people to flock to that class' But what i m saying if that statemtent I quote is true that means (at least on my sevrer) sorcs and not far beghind assassins are grossly op because they easily outnumber every other ac by miles. Problem with that is I dotn think sorcs and assassins are op, so I cant agree with that theory.
