Yes CHANGE IT BACK. Or at least give us an option to have it as it was before. I was perfectly fine with it. OPTIONS Bioware OPTIONS.

Turn off nameplates specifically the scale with distance option. Increased my performance greatly. Still have a little stuttering but much more playable. The real main culprit seems to be the new style of text with the shadows.

Don't see what seemed defensive just stating its an issue is all. Just reading text isnt the best way to know someones tone but I assure you it wasnt in mean way lol.

While some people may not experience it a good chunk of the players are. If you don't notice any stuttering when moving your camera to the point where its like a slideshow around then consider yourself lucky.

:mad: NVM problem comes back after an hour or so of playing.

I downloaded the patch around 10:30 this morning and had no issues so I guess I was just lucky. So sorry to hear all you guys are having problems. Don't fret too much as when it does get downloaded you probably wont want to play for a few days anyway because of the horrible performance issues. Currently keeping me from playing.

Shadows are messed up and it seems even nameplate are causing FPS issues. So turning these off will get you by until they fix it but for me no shadows makes it unplayable for me. Just can't take not seeing them.

Editing my previous response because said workaround only worked for maybe an hour before it got really choppy again.

No Low is no shadows completely. Try it and you'll see. No difference between low and off. I just want the shadows as they were before 1.4 because the game didn't slideshow. I don't want them off either because the game looks ugly then.

Pressing W again usually fixes it for me.

Well I'm on Dromund Kaas and its a lag fest. I'm monitoring the FPS counter and surprisingly it doesn't really move yet its like a slideshow.

Shadows broke the game. They impact performance heavily even on the best video cards. You'd think setting them to low would give you what we had before the patch but it just turns them off completely. So whats the point of an Off setting then?

The new shadows are pretty as long as you don't move because other wise your screen flutters so much. I was completely happy with how shadows were before the patch. I figured setting them to low would give me that but it turns them off completely. I just would like to set them to the quality they were before because as it is i can have a beautiful looking game as long as I don't move OR have an ugly game. It really kills my mood not seeing shadows. Talking with other people in game and they running much more powerful cards than me (GTX 260) and getting same results.

And please sir tell me what you or anyone would be doing in WoW at end game? Exactly the same as people do here. Sit in one place spamming for groups to raids/operations and queue for Warzones.

No they wouldn't because 99.9% of the people here don't have any experience whatsoever to make a game. Just having awesome idea's is not making a game. You'd all spend the budget on Cheetos and Mountain Dew.
