I can almost guarantee if there was no space combat people would be complaining. Its better to have something than nothing and this something is pretty well done. I remember that SWG had no space at launch, that was a travesty. Is it the best space combat suited for this game? No. But its still enjoyable and a nice break from questing. There is room for improvement and revamps. Something I'm sure will come in the future.

This isn't EVE Online people. We should be happy we got space at all. I remember that SWG launched with no space. You're lying if you say it doesn't have a star wars feel to it. It most certainly does. But don't think I'm saying that it shouldn't be improved. What we have right now for launch is good. For the future of this game it would be a good idea to add to it or even change it completely. But for right now it works.

That didn't stop SOE though from botching it.

Because that era has been done to death and quite frankly I'm sick and tired of it. I like new era to play around in. Also Bioware pretty much has free reign to do whatever they want to their story without conflicting with any lore.
