Yes I will continue on. 1.1 is said to bring new, fresh content and a new flash point. There will be many more of these updates, plus who knows what else in the future. Also, this game is NOT WoW, by any means whatsoever. You have to actually pay attention to things ppl say and do, and it changes your alignment and story. In that other pile of frothy dog poo you don't have to read a single quest; just click accept and go to it. Im sure I'm not alone when I say I'm tired of hearing all the cry-babies complaining about the game and making false comparisons and threatening to quit and blah blah blah. Go on. Quit. Go back to that bland craptacular experience that has gone downhill since the BC expansion and somehow attracted more and more immature and unskilled players. Some of them have come here to this game and I HOPE they go back. It's like the wotlk expansion when they made "that game" spoonfed to all the whiney babies who had no idea how to cc, tank, heal, or do anything but yell go go go and dps all out right up front. Those people are horrible at any MMORPG and should be taken off the grid. So yes, with the belief that many of the aforementioned morons that have come here will leave, I intend to stay and watch the game gain strength from their disappearance. Just have to hope there are enough real, skilled players who see the potential for SWTOR and stick with it so they can make enough continued cash-flow to provide the content I know the intend to bless us with.

There is an option under preferences to "skip all movies" if you're dumb enough to want to do that. Feel free, or just go back to that game where you don't have to read the quest at all but rather just click accept and go kill the boars.

We haven't even seen the first expansion or MAJOR patch yet. The people that used the exploits that were up at first ruined the game for themselves, so piss on them, but as for the rest, the game hasn't even been out a month yet and you're saying throw in the towel. Ridiculous. The only reason that didn't happen to WoW was because it was longer and harder to level up, but the quest and such were stupid and annoying and mostly completely pointless. I.E. Kill boars. Too many whiners. Not enough ppl with imagination to see the potential.

I never played DK's cuz they were flavor of the expansion and quite lame. Almost every other class and type tho. I did play a warlock and loved it. So whats this warlock like spec?

My main is a Deception spec'd assassin. When he's maxxed we'll see I guess, but at this point I'm noticing I seem to be the only fool doing deception. Everyone else is either darkness or madness, and with good reason. From what I see, deception is the only true assassin tree, yet it is by far the worst. If you are darkness, you seem pretty set in all areas. If you are madness you seem pretty set. If you are deception, you are a time-consuming, glass cannon with less burst and sustained dmg than classes like IA Operative. I have played the stealth assassin/rogue class in every MMORPG since Ultima Online, and this is by far the worst one. Crap cc, weaker burst than other classes that shouldn't be stronger burst, lack of sustained dmg under the only true assassin tree, deception, and absolutely NO survivability, even with the ability to vanish in combat. Simple enough to knock you out of that with a quick aoe or whatever. Okay, enough of my whining, I guess what I'm saying is, someone school me on the best spec for an assassin. Period. DPS primarily, even if thats the tanking tree. I notice it is very nice for survivability and sustained heavy dmg. Madness seems to be the dmg and cc tree with some survive. Deception is the true assassin tree that just plain seems to suck.Voltaic slash is our first move with higher dmg etc. etc. So, PLEASE, Im asking for specs. Your spec, what you think the best spec is period. PVE and/or PVP. I'm old-school, but this deception assassin is making me feel like a nub. I know how to play him, I'm using him correctly, and sure I can do some killin', but not like I should be able to. I may get one dude in a warzone but I am immediately dropped right after by one hit from any friend. I'm accustomed to being able to do massive burst dmg and cc and harass the hell out of other players as a stealth/rogue type class. That doesn't seem like its going to happen here, so come on. Take a break from what you normally do on these forums and spec me. Spec this assassin to kill, survive, and kill again. And yes, I know how to play and have played every type of class in almost ever MMORPG. Rarely a healer, usually dps. Help an assassin out. Don't make me switch to my alt sniper as my main.

You are an idiot if you are seriously calling Assassins op. Assassins are NOT op, at all. You crybabies already had the sorc nerfed before the game even got launched, stop crying and learn to play, seriously. Nerfing is never the answer. Class balancing when needed, but never nerfing.

To OP, you are clearly specc'd wrong. Assassin can be a lethal force in pvp when correctly spec'd. All classes have 3 trees. Each class has 2 trees specific to that class and a pvp tree. As an assassin, your middle tree, deception, is the pvp tree. Madness is the pve tree. And darkness is the tanking tree. How you spec your trees, mix and match, fill out and barely touch another, whatever, is up to you and your play-style. Having played rogue in WoW and several other stealth classes in other MMORPGs, like Lineage 2, DOA, Shadowbane, Ultima Online, I can tell you that playing a stealth class successfully is a challenge unless they are overpowered. Assassins are definitely not OP in this game. If anything they could use a little boost, especially considering they nerfed the Inquisitor due to QQ over the sorc's range and awesomeness. Long story short, if you can't spec it right or play it right, a stealth class is not for you. Consider a more direct attacker. Warrior, Bounty Hunter. Edit = p.s. Our CC does suck arse tho. I mean really bad. Force Slow is the only form of cc we have worth using. Electrocute someimes, but rarely against anyone with any skills. And yes, the Assassin should have access to medium armor, while sorcs should stay light armor

Yea its crap that you have to play along all lightsidey to get her affections. There should be a way to turn her pure evil and gain her affections simultaneously. I wanna pursue her via story AND have her turn pure evil..get all red and yellow eyed with red pulsing veins etc.. By the time I'm done with her she should be willing to slaughter children simply because I said so, and gain affection points for it.

Pre-ordered Aug. 10th. No one expressed importance of quickly redeeming code. Not BW, not Origin, no one. So redeemed some time in Nov.. I know we will not be in until a day or 2 before launch. Wasting our time watching the clocks and emails waiting and BW is laughing at us the whole time, while no one is playing throughout the night and no one is working. Don't believe for a minute they have workers going 24/7 as they claim. These mofos are taking is nice and easy and are afraid they don't have the equipment or don't want to buy the equipment or whatever, which is just sad and pathetic. If I had known all this shyte I would've stuck to my no more MMORPG promise after I quit WoW with that Wotlk expansion that let all the nubs overrun us old players. This game better make me **** my pants considering every beta invite was f'd and had login errors so I never got to play, and no one said to quickly redeem my code, and now I'm screwed while real-life friends leave me far far behind.

Sadly, Blizz launch of WoW blows this out of the water. I was there, and despite login errors, which I received all thru SWTOR beta and was never able to play, WoW launch was WAY better than this one. I don't think they have the stuff to handle the 20th. I think come Dec. 20th this game is gonna be down for a week, and then those of us who got screwed on beta and screwed on early access are gonna be even more ticked and our real-life friends already in-game are gonna leave us in the digital dust and after the first month we'll be so far behind and stuff that we'll just be like screw it....maybe I'll give it one more month....maybe

Yeah, they did not stress the importance of ordering quickly OR REDEEMING YOUR CODE QUICKLY in any fashion. I ordered on Aug. 10th, but just realized I didn't redeem my code for at least another month or 2 so I know I'm totally screwed and won't get in til 2 days before launch probably. Origin did NOT say ANYTHING about redeeming the code quickly to affect your early access. Nor did anyone else as far as I can tell. Again, lack of information/communication and just a big F U to the customer. I have played most MMORPG's from launch, sadly, and this is one of the worst I've ever seen. As much as I HATE to admit it....WoW launch blew you guys off the grid. Your game better be that much better, especially since my beta invites never worked and all I ever got was login errors.
