  1. Given what I've seen from my PT tank in NiM S&V/TFB -Maybe -False, I don't even... -Maybe -False, It's fine and no serious noticeable issues. -False, even if people were given 6 charges, 3 Movement breaks, and 5 pulls they would still have no 'closers'. -Could be but, likely false, since I doubt you see many people running numbers and counting heads for every PT at every hour on every server this is pure speculation. PT/Vanguards are great tanks people just be bad. Don't tailor your answers to them.
  2. It was fun, no doubt. But where we lost one thing we should have gained another. Why not turn telekinetic throw into a cull type ability through talents. I would have at least felt like I was building up to something. Now I'm just waiting on a single proc. Why not turn phase walk into a ground aoe and sear targets as they stay in it? Why not do something with the other abilities in our ability list to make them more interesting? I don't have to stick with just Shadow strike/Maul but you definitely need SOMETHING else in there to fill the gap.
  3. No, madness was bloody easy to play. You didn't have to even think about when to cast dots as the timers were laid out for you in a simple pattern. Anytime you deathfield cast the two dots... that's it. You had to watch for procs, boy was that difficult... said no one competent. Nothing about this spec was difficult to manage.
  4. This is incorrect. Those bugs will still be there. We will see an update next Tuesday. The expansion will be active on Sunday. So you guys have actually done nothing and deserve every bit of jealousy. Doesn't really matter. I'll play whenever. Unfortunately there isn't much to do beyond being 1 tnl currently. That is correct, however usually most companies will offer a pre-order but not discriminate on the date of when. When you think it out. It is really kinda backwards. We want you to pre-order but ONLY if you do it before this date do you get early access. When the norm has always been: If you pre-order you get early access as a benefit for preordering. I did preorder the game. But I don't deserve it because... it wasn't before a certain date? Wat?
  5. Wouldn't even bother with rerolling tbh. If the maraderps and PTs can't out dps him now they won't post 2.0. You don't need to prove anything to maintain your spot. If they want you out of the raid group just leave the guild. Anyways, I said my part on the 2.0 dps parses. Those parses should be taken as nothing more as a leader board on dummy and as comparison as internal class dps variances. If you start comparing between classes you're gonna have a bad time. They can't be compared between each other due to differences in buffs/debuffs and most of the parses cannot be used for ANY raid scenario or who you should and should not bring. In short, they're worthless for raiding numbers and mean nothing due to flawed testing and poor community support. Also, It is more fun being an assassin anyways. It is like passively telling everyone that their bad every time you out dps them. "Hey you got a complete class advantage over me and still did worst in equal gear. I'm not saying you're bad or anything but numbers tend TO SPEAK PRETTY LOUDLY." If people are gonna call us the underdog, I sure as hell am gonna make them look like disappointments in their own class.
  6. Easily Agent. Proper writing, proper use of segue, and multiple endings/arcs. All the classes really lacked this level of detail. Agent was not just about 2 planet, event, 2 planet, event BS that they pulled with each of the other classes, you properly segue into each planet. At the end you actually made a decision that would affect future lines of story for your character. No other class even came close to these options.
  7. Please do not take this as condemning of how you wanted to test as much as the community needing legitimate raid numbers instead of leader boards within the class on a dummy enemy. I'm glad you did the work for it(I really do appreciate the effort) but what the parses amount to is a purely solo case in a raid scenario. They do not offer true insight into how a class performs with the buffs the devs mention. I'm glad my shadow does really well on 55 champion enemies out on the planet. That does not tell me anything about how the class performs when with other classes in a raid environment. We have the whole forum screaming the sky is falling on shadow/assassin when this is likely furthest from the truth. Every time I see a post saying were 200-300 behind the next lowest it just becomes a "hnnnnnnng, WHY? WHERE? HOW ARE YOU GETTING TO THAT? STOP!". As a leaderboard this is a fair step in the right way. When I see forum posters try to take these as legitimate numbers and use them against devs, I just feel awful for devs. Yes I know the 30% was added into their calculations. What I mean is that I cannot believe that they actually balanced classes around that final 30%. I consider that just awful design. Personally. Hurrah, you're disappointing for the majority of the fight but that last 30% you are above average. It is awful design and I cannot wrap my head around it.
  8. I actually have a couple questions on the rules set for this. First, the parse should have been done in the 'optimal' raid setting. Even the interview was stating that this was obvious flaw in the parsing. We never take just one dps to an operation. When were looking for the potential dps of a class in an operation we cannot ignore the optimal setting. When we get another update with changes in classes, I would strongly recommend using the optimal raid setting not the solo raid dps number. All debuffs on target(and buffs) not just what a single class can bring. Second, I really do not believe that a kill shot ability in the post 30% is part of the balancing act. That ability is completely irrelevant to a sustained parse. You don't take a dps for the last 30% of a fight nor does a fight start in <30%. Third, has the fleet and ship dummy difference been fixed? I remember reading in another thread that the ship dummy had approximately a 10% difference in armor from the fleet. I wish I could find it but I believe the devs made a post acknowledging it as well. While I thank you for all the work you put in. I cannot shake the problems of the parses.
  9. Can't say we need dual specs as much as load outs: A load out is just a predetermined setup that can be loaded onto characters that will generally cover gear, talents, and quickbar setups. Show some support! http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=610976
  10. Should have 3 buttons Need - only main stat classes can roll on the item. Greed - Free roll for everyone Companion - A small (visually) button that rates higher than greed but less than Need. Have this option smaller as most will ignore and hit greed anyways. If people really wanted it they can companion roll for it. Honestly though as long as need is fixed it should be fine. Communication is not hard, "Hey can I have that for comp?," "Mind if I get that for mods?" God knows how many people ACTUALLY say something in a FP anyways. Maybe people might stop acting like NPC's.
  11. Would it be possible to add some kind of Equipment, Talent tree, Quickbar loadout? I would love to have a means to quickly swap to my PVP/Tank/DPS setup in an efficient method.
  12. Turn off aoe's lift elite save interrupts for heals from adepts focus fire strong interrupt the adept about to heal interrupt the other adept about to heal kill first strong focus fire other strong interrupt adept about to heal kill second strong heal up a bit if needed kill elite Lt. Iresso.
  13. So? Did you have something critical to do when there was a maint.? Probably not. You were planning on doing what everyone else was doing. Mindlessly leveling an alt cause of uninteresting endgame content or spending 40mins waiting for a pvp queue. SO MUCH EXCITEMENT HAPPENING RIGHT NOW. BIOWARE HOLDING ME BACK! QQ. It doesn't matter when the downtime, nothing important/major is happening. I would love a rift style quick patching to be honest. 30 mins of downtime every couple of days to fix things quickly or as they became issues.
  14. All this wahhhhhh. Why do you even care? You spend few hours on the fleet doing nothing or few hour in RL doing nothing. Not like anything is happening in game that you need to be on RIGHT NOW. You'd think there has never been emergency maint. before. I'd rather they do more, maybe this game wouldn't be so underwhelming.
  15. Naw I just totally forgot about it. Bubble has become so second nature that I forget it's there. XD Yes it is probably one of the first things you can/should do.
  16. In raids, what spec and what rotation you use to heal? I think my spec is about the same as everyone elses -1 point here and there for quality of life. We don't have really any *choice* on what to take so every spec is pretty much the same as the next heal spec. Depends on my location and what I need to do. for Hard mode Zorn and Toth I'll just stay up with the melee and rejuv > salvation. If there are only a couple I'll rejuv > healing trance. There is no major rotation for healing and it is mostly instinct and practice. and what's your priority to heal? Tank > Myself > everyone else. By habit though I'm usually in my own salvation so it's more Tank > everyone else. but then how often do you guys use benevolence and how do you manage force after using it? I don't use it. It's a complete waste of force. Especially when in 2 ticks of Healing trance I can cover the same hp and more. at which point you'll put attention on regain force back? Any time I'm in my salvation I'll get some back. If my hp is 100% I'll sac to prep the next time I'm in salvation. Anytime I tick into 95/100% hp from salvation I'll sac. Force is still about the same issue I had before. I'll spend hp but it's of little matter to me.
  17. Were still better than others, especially geared. But were the best of the worst healing mechanics. Which makes us like the #1 student in a special ed. class.
  18. I use deliverance a lot as filler. Deliverance is one of the better healing abilities given that benevolence is absolutely useless and more so in PvE. You should be going from rejuv > healing trance/salvation most of the time since it is more cost effective. Want to complain about a bad ability, benevolence is your complaint heal. Last HM Denova/LI/Everything else: Not a single benevolence was given. Leave deliverance alone. The question should be: Why is *Benevolence* so WORTHLESS?
  19. Could you recheck your numbers for this? They seem a bit off... Is willpower not updating on certain stats? I thought an increase in Willpower would reflect onto Power/Force Power. I'm on my campus atm so I cannot check. Your activation speed seems really high as well. Did you burn a relic? Feel like I'm missing something. ._.; I don't feel like I'm playing second fiddle to anyone when I'm healing but I'm also much more geared out. Off the top of my head I'm sitting at 1900 wp, 33% crit, 76% surge with only stim and sage buff. Healing trance crits around 1870~ and I have to agree it's pretty amazing. Deliverance is criting for about 6.5k(I'll have to check once I get back on). I think once you get more gear your opinion will definitely be different.
  20. Healing has not been as terrible as was foretold. But this is simply my opinion. I was able to clear HM LI last night without to many big issues. We are going to check out NMM EV and KP tonight. I feel comfortable enough that we can clear them assuming no major Soa bugs. I do think our focus on stat priority has changed though. Do not focus on power as heavily as before and do not prioritize it over surge/crit. For newer players or veterans I would really recommend getting 300 surge first(after this you get some serious diminishing returns) then getting crit up to at least 30% between talents but not inclusive to buffs(scoundrel buff for example). These are not hard stats to get. Willpower will clean up your crit quickly and most surge mods will come with crit as well. Afterwards focus power. Making sure that at least crit and surge are both around the above values will really save you more work and make each of your abilities worth it. The experiences vary but this has worked for me.
  21. There were a couple write ups on this forum as far as tactics. We cleared last night with vanguard, sage(heals), sent, sage(dps). Had one wipe on each of the bosses then cleared on second attempt. If we do it again we will likely clear all on first attempt. The droid is not really that hard just a movement fight. Try not to over think the fight and make sure you don't cut yourself off since the ground lightning will grow. The fire dot that gets placed on the tank can be cleansed off by any healer. And the lava that splashes up in the center hardly does anything noticable. The only fight that gave us a hard time was the last but not because the actual fight was hard. Our tank could not see the ground aoes pop up. He said he repaired but there was no change. He would occasionally see them though so it may just be an issue with his video card. Also for any healers, you can cleanse the dot from the aoe as well. The last fight is not a very melee friendly fight though(Just like every fight in every mmo).
  22. Zeghrem

    Thank you for 1.2!

Bout sums up this thread. This is not the patch for balance.
  23. Even the republic dances are worst than the empire. Republic dancing Empire dancing Clearly everyone should have joined the empire for a good time.
  24. Rift. Most people seem to want to compare the beginning of WoW to the beginning of SWTOR. This is not how it works. You offer something that no company can offer or you offer something better than what the competition is currently offering. The only thing that is different from WoW is storyline. You didn't need to make an MMO to offer this. Also on a further note the money spent into extra voice acting was completely unnecessary. They could have spent that money better elsewhere and kept voicing for class story only and people would have been happy. However you really only need a cutscene to immerse the player not voice acting. The final fantasy franchise has been doing this for years. The voicing was(should have been) an addition after gameplay and story were solidified. Now, after clearing hoth for the 5th time I don't even have the sound on anymore. All that money that you spent trying to make an immersive experience through voicing is wasted. The money could have been spent improving the gameplay, the engine, and the story.
  25. Not going to level a char on the pts to 50. Being able to transfer or make a premade is something we asked for. They are not listening. This is very clear. You can't blame the players for this. If they want us to test something, give us the means to test it in a reasonable timely manner if you intend to get reasonable, well-thought out results. They are claiming it is working. That it has been tested. However I'm fairly certain that half the changes and patches that they have added to the game since launch to fix issues have not worked. Their contracted testers are clearly not actually testing their fixes. Whether this is a miscommunication, poor judgement, or complete oversight is not our problem. Things are not working like they should post fixes. Reoccurring issues that require 4-5 patches are clear indicators that things are not being tested properly. 1. Rejuv alone will not cover the health deficit at higher hp levels. 2. It is counter productive to the net gain. Spending force on myself is fine except when your spending the most of the gain to maintain just myself. I account this to a static pool(force) being coupled with an ever increasing pool(health) and heals having a poor hpf. (For all healers not just sage/sorc). Honestly, I might as well just stand around doing nothing and let it regen itself. Standing around is an exciting combat mechanic now, right? 3. You can only use 1 medpac per fight now. 4. Aoe heals are expensive and the locations are not always convenient to get the highest efficiency of the ability. This is not necessarily their fault. This depends entirely on your setup and tactics for a given fight. Assuming that 'just sit in your aoe and heal yourself' is not a valid or efficient option generally. 5. If you have to rely on another healer to keep you up then your a liability. I don't feel like being carried by another healer to do my healing.
