  1. I think that any new content, slightly more challenging, and dropping better looking gear would be a plus. Class storyline extensions and maybe some more filler content (minigames, world events) as well would never hurt. Also, they need to balance PVP. And launch the ranking system soon. Rocking battlemaster is not fun unless you go against other battlemasters.
  2. All the trooper companions are relatively young. Joran looks like he is in his mid to late thirties, same for Elara. M1-4X is a newly created Droid, so maybe five or six (LOL), and Tanno also looks in his thirties and Yuun is pretty old.
  3. I hate the Operative's ability to chain stun. It is really annoying to spend your cooldown to get out of one, then to only get stunned again just a couple of seconds later. Also, the TTK is way to low.
  4. I was looking through the class section of the HoloNet and watching the character progression videos, deciding on an alt class, and I realized that characters don't actually get that gear in the game, while progressing through those areas. My trooper didn't have the gear the character progression video showed on Ord Mantell, or Taris, or Belsavis. So, I guess my question is, where, if possible, can you find that gear? Because it looks really awesome and I'd like to get it.
  5. I did her... part of the R&R quest. She seems okay, but too awkward with Elara around... you know, since I married her. Sort of
  6. I'm definitely going to take a free transfer with my irl friend that plays with me, if the servers available for transferring to are good. Otherwise, I'd pay twenty to go to a better populated, more lively server. I like it when you go to the fleet and you see people everywhere, and notice that there are 150+ people online there, versus having 40-60. It's really pathetic being on a standard-low population server. BW should roll out character transfers ASAP.
  7. Trooper story is not boring at all. I absolutely loved it. Although to tell you the truth, IMO, the Imperial Agent storyline is the best. Who doesn't want to be a Secret Police officer that can illicit fear just by saying :" I'm from Imperial Intelligence." In the empire, when you hear that phrase spoken to you, you know you're life is about to get really, really hard. And short.
  8. Nope, this game is just like all MMO's in their earliest stages. A lot of growing pains, but it'll live and I'm having fun anyways.
  9. The server I play on, Master Gnost-Dural, is a a Standard population server during prime time, and a little before and after, and light population during the rest of the day. The normal number of people on the Republic Fleet at prime time, is around 30-50 and between 20-30 during not prime time. I think the one big mistake that BW made was launching with too many servers, and too many different types of servers. They should launch with only enough servers to hold the pre-orders and then estimate low on the number of extra servers for people who buy later. Then, if the demand exceeds the supply, open up more servers and authorize free transfers. Seeing as that is all in the past though, at least we can all agree that introducing paid server transfers would alleviate the situation a bit.
  10. What I MEANT was that when I flirted with a female character, Aric would respond negatively.
  11. Lol, I remember how Aric Jorgan would react negatively everytime my Vanguard would choose the flirt option. I have yet to play a female character though. For some reason, I'm just one of those guys who feel weird playing a character of the opposite sex. But if they really don't have any flirt options, BW should add some more.
  12. BW is a great game production corporation. They made several blockbusters. The main one is Mass Effect. And in Mass Effect you get to make several decisions, including whether to recruit some people. Sometimes the recruitment is hidden. For example, Legion. You could give him to Cerberus or re-activate him. Therefore, you probably just lost a companion.
  13. To serve the Republic, no matter the cost, no matter what sick, disgusting, dark-side actions my character has to make, he will serve the rightful government. ^ That is the "public" image he portrays to his superiors. His true internal motivations are revenge on Tavus' betrayal and the defection of his SpecForce Team, Havoc Squad. Personal gain are placed after serving the republic, but he won't say no to some well paying side jobs. Also, he is a bit of a zealot, so he kills all traitors, all potential traitors, and lies, cheats, steals, and takes advantage of all who oppose the Republic. AKA 100% Tier 5, 0 LS points, Dark-Sided Trooper XD
  14. It was definitely sudden. They should have either kept it for longer, or done as OP suggested. Add some sort of Containment Captain NPC on Carrick Station and Vaikan Spacedock which will take the DNA samples and sell you event gear/pets/crystals, etc. "for your hard work - ahem, standing on Carrick Station waiting for infection". And he should be there for at least another week. I also hope they do it again sometime next year though. And make it a different more populated planet... like Alderaan. OOOOHHHHHHHHH.
  15. I know what you mean. I remember while leveling up my trooper, Aric Jorgan would just walk around with his auto cannon unsheathed. And we would walk into the Senate Tower. I would have my rifle sheathed, but no, my companion thinks someone in the friggin' SENATE TOWER in the UPPER CITY OF THE CAPITOL OF THE REPUBLIC is going to ambush us. And don't get me started on Tanno...
  16. You're already guaranteed your same-sex relationships. You just need to wait, as there is no release date yet. I hope this game doesn't have an abundant community of conservatives. Controversial crap like this ruins games. Then again, the other features you suggested sound awesome and if those were to be added, it would be great. But those are just minor improvements and "polish". How about: - Cross Server fully automated LFG tool for Ops and FP's - Harder Ops - More combat balance (have you seen Imperial Agent/ Smuggler damage?) - Class storyline extensions/ continuations - More world events with full story questlines rather than dailies - Server population re-alignment attempts (merging light servers into standard ones and allowing free transfers from heavy and full servers to select standards servers)
  17. I think that BioWare should definitely merge together some servers. OP has a point when it comes to the fact that, if you are a social player (like me), you'll want to group. And if the pop. is too low, you're less likely to find a group and subsequently quit. Not too many servers must be merged, but I think that they should combine the servers that are rated as "Light" most of the time, with servers that are on the lower side of the "Standard" spectrum. That should get rid of Light servers and make only Standard, Heavy, Very Heavy and Full. Then, they should allow free character transfers from Full, and Very Heavy servers to the Standard servers for a limited time, allowing players to shift to these lower populated ones. The server populations should definitely start balancing out after this... or not, this is just speculation. However, I would like to see paid character services from BW soon, and server transfer had better be on that list.
  18. Well, I love my trooper, and let me tell you, Tanno Vik... he likes selfishness. If you ask for compensation during quests or take a dark side choice that will illicit greater good to yourself, then you'll get brownie points with him. Whether or not you kill or murder, etc, doesn't matter, just whether or not you are benefiting from the action is what causes him to like or dislike your action. He's like my renegade bad-azz companion.
  19. What do you think BW will do for TOR's first x-pac? I don't see any sort of story expansion main theme for a whole expansion pack at this point in time. I know the game is relatively new, but does anybody have any ideas out there?
  20. Patch 1.3 will most likely drop sometime this August or September. What I want it to include? 1. Cross Server LFG 2. PVP Combat Balance 3. Better Looking Gear 4. More challenging operations ^ That's what I'm expecting. This is what I am hoping for (in all future patches): 1. Class Storyline extensions 2. More world bosses and events 3. Specific and improved daily zones 4. All the terrain glitches and texture corruption to go away 5. Support for 3rd party addons
  21. This is the best clarification I see in this threads. Thanks! So, if what I read here is canon, then the SWTOR ships are accurate. The Old Republic - Hammerhead Correlian starships The Sith Empire - Wedge Shaped Star Destroyers Later on, when the Sith Empire returns: The Old Republic - Wedge Shaped Star Destroyers (engineers finally used their college educations and deduced that it was more efficient The Galactic Empire - Wedge Shaped Star Destroyers And THEN: The New Republic - Wedge Shaped Star Destroyers The Empire - Wedge Shaped Star Destroyers
  22. This actually has been bugging me quite a bit. SWTOR Empire Ships = Star Wars Trilogy Republic Ships SWTOR Republic Ships = Star Wars Trilogy Rebellion Ships Now, if BW had made this canon, and simply gave the Republic the wedge shaped star ships, only with Republic color schemes (http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll167/Battlehawk08/Venators.jpg) and insignias, I'm not quite sure what would serve as the Empire's ships. Because I'm not quite sure there's anything in Star Wars history saying what the "new" old sith empire ships were like aesthetically.
  23. In the IA storyline, while leveling, I ran into quite a few female Sith Lords. A couple of my allies were also females, and high ranking officials, that guided me from base. The only sort of discrimination I see, is that on the Empire side, if you're an alien, if you don't prove yourself worthy of the Empire, you become either a slave or are kicked out, or live in poverty and the like. Luckily, my Chiss IA is worthy! But he also has the bad habit of talking back and disobeying Sith
  24. The OP nailed it. The designs would look very good and creative - IN ANOTHER GAME OR ANOTHER SCENARIO. The gear doesn't look bad because they look bad by nature, we dislike them because they DON'T LOOK LIKE STAR WARS GEAR. . The OP also nails it on the fact that BW gets it right on the path from 1-49. Characters look great from 1-49. Then, hit 50 and the gear looks like it's from another MMO. If BW wants some inspiration to how characters should look, they should look at some NPC designs. Some NPC's have gear that truly looks great and fits the description of their characters. The one main reason that BW, I think, like the OP does, designed such "overreaching" gear is because they don't want level 50 gear to look "boring" and "regular" like the 1-49 or NPC gear. They want to distinguish level 50 from 1-49 gear. But I don't think they realize, we want to look our class and our faction. Not outrageously colorful with outfits that blatantly speak out "hey, we're level 50". Other players can just click on us for that.
  25. Nobody. I didn't kiss up to any of my companions. I only did LS options throughout the game, and made dialogue choices I wanted to make disregarding gains and losses in affection. I really feel no connection to any of my companions except that I get to use them to help me succeed in different situations. Maybe that's one of the outcomes BW programmed in to the companion system. Anyways, I plan to espouse my main (Sniper) to my Sith Juggernaut in the legacy family tree, so it's all good, my agent isn't forever alone.
