  1. if you do not hit enrage timers you are doing fine, the acceptable range is defined by not hitting enrage timers, any other "accpetable" that is higher than that is just elitism.
  2. LI goes beyond HM FP imo so i would take info on that one into consideration but yeah, FP HM anything else is candy.
  3. i guess we live in different worlds, I play to 1) have fun 2) finish content I do that as arsenal, I was doing is MUCH better a couple patches ago yes... but to say an arsenal does not contribute is silly imo. But I am not about the parse... I am about fun and content so if you own a car that goes 300mph but never leave a 65mph speed limit what is the point? FYI this is an mmo, we were high on the dps, now we are lower, we will move up again... it is the nature of games like this.
  4. too many of any class can be bad, rauders may do more dps but they take more damage, there is a balance between DPS and HPS that has to be kept. For SOME bossess sure only rauders would be nice, for others not so much (aoe stomps and cleaves)... On some fights yes that extra output from the rauders will be noticable, but if the boss leaps, their dps goes in the dumps, if they are taking significantly more damage it puts stress on the healers, having a couple of ranged in the back helps lighten that load. And yes i am speaking arsenal not pyro which really could use some pve love. pryo i can agree with, bur BG? no way they are awsome in raid. They have lower overall HPS but the overhealing going on with sorc is out of this world. I have been religated to my sorc healer in raid (because we are healer light, they wish i could bring my arsenal because I am consistantly good damage with great awareness) BG can pick up a low tank faster than anyone else, they can also let me refill my force tank and heal me up quick to full "resetting" the healers (after they use vent heat). They are an asset but the healers have to *shocked look* work together and use each others strengths. I put out 2k HPS last night on my sorc but so much of that is overhealing from the AOE, while the BG was sitting around 1.2-1.5k at the high end. No, I mean my dps. There are fights that rauders are eating me on dps, there are others where i am very competitive (when bosses are moving or they have to get out of AOE's or whatever) When everyone is running around harry carry staying out of bad stuff i can just use rapid shots to do 50% of my normal dps while the rauders are doing nothing. I am saying it is a team sport, and all classes bring something to the table. Sorry we are no longer gods with the highest dps and the long range, there is a lot more to it, cc's, heals, cures to name a few that we bring to the table. Now as a final though I willa gree that we have been taken to a point that the nerfs must end and the next changes should be "love" for BH in general (well maybe tanks are ok). I am not saying that I am not dissapointed, I am not saying we are the best, or even the MOST wanted in raids. I am saying BH arsenal doing his job well is NOT being carried. My guild is "average", we are not elite, we can barely put a 16 man together because our numbers are low and we are on a low pop server. Yet we are doing fine with at least 3 BH in every raid (healer, tank, and at least one arsenal). So with almost half of our 8 man being BH and still doing content ... pfft we are not broken, though we could use some love.
  5. the tooltip for heat signature says damage is increased by 5% for each heat signature ... that appears to be working heat signature reduces armor rating by 4% for every heat signature... that appears to be not working fyi both of these are dependant on heat signatures, but one is global and the other is linked to HSM That is what i am gathering from my testing and a few others are agreeing with that. Now it is possible that my data set is too small to see the 5% difference between 20% and 25% so if I am proven wrong i will fess up to it, but my data shows the armor pen seems to be not working... this week i am testing other attacks with and without heat signature to determine if I can show that there is no increase in damage from the armor pen, to verify my results. as far as coding goes, I do not code video games, not MMO's and other things of huge size and stature... but I do know from coding experience that variables are used in many places and are defined in specific ways, so saying "just blend this together and make this do that" is never easy, and the trickle down effect of something changing somewhere else is not something to blow off because if they break the game more people will leave. now maybe you have a good friend that writes code for BIO and is telling you "oh just change line 4054059830495830495834 of the code and it will be fixed" ... other than that you saying it would be simple is just empty words from a frustrated user.

  7. I have the gravity wave, it does about 2-4% of my overall damage with no work by me love it, want the upgrade from black hole.
  8. you call that an easy fix? combining incoming buffs from two different sources to one stack? Have you ever written programing code in any way? that is a bleeding nightmare you are suggesting fyi it does not appear to be heat signatures that are the issue, it is working as intended. Current theory is our armor pen is broken. if you do not belive me then go to the training dummy, cast HSM 10 times with no buffs no nothing recording the result... now cast HSM 10 times with 5 heat signature stacks on the dummy (need to keep stacks on dummy up) ... record the results..... working as intended yes something is broken but it isnt heat signature so basically you are asking them to fix something that is not broken.
  9. if you want a 1v1 pvp class reroll, we are arguably the worst 1v1 class in game, and 1v1 is of no importance in a good pre-made I pvp just fine, and my groups win a lot of matches. 1v1 on a turret is the job of a stealther anyway because in a good premade opposition will see you coming and reinforcements will arrive before you can take the turret unless you can stealth.
  10. firstly you will always have "this class does more dps" secondly enrage timers are not an issue in any content I have seen (which would be most of it) with dps meters I think you will find that the dps problems are not class based they are player based and that "elitism" people worried about with the bringing of parsers will come into play i put "elitism" in quotes because basically if you SUCK you should NOT be in raid... it isn't elitist to expect someone to be carried by the rest of the group. If your dps is more than 20% lower than peak dps for your class you should get the boot. I see people all the time doing less dps than the tank with no good reason. Am I elitist for wanting them to either up their dps or get out? if so then I guess I am elitist. but i digress our dps is plenty to be FINE with enrage timers.
  11. So we are not viable in pvp? or are you talking 1v1 pvp? I get lots of medals and points actually playing the objectives of the games tbh...
  12. So I was bored, shooting at the training dummy and noticed something... rapid shots does 40 to 50% of normal damage by itself. I was hitting for 500-600 dps with ONLY rapid shots it seemed to balance out after a long time to 560dps now using full rotation i have been getting 1100 to 1200 on the dummys. This puts rapid shots as somewhere around 50% dps rate. I totally did not expect this, I expected it to be much lower. I am going to do some testing of HSM/Exdart/rail/single tick of unload rolled into there to try to work out a "mobile rotation" and see what kind of dps we can put out. Now yes 50% reduction in dps is huge but it is nothing compared to the loss of sniper when moving. I think I just always under-rated rapid shots and figured I would share.
  13. WHO CARES! Once you get a BH peice you should be pulling out the mods and putting them into an orange with augment (for chest legs and head.. which is most of your look).... augment ftw, extra 30 or so point in *pick your poision* problem is the orange crafted heavy is ugly as sin.

  15. yep and from testing on the dummy my best dps seems to be around 30-35% TM 30-35% unload 15-20%HSM 8-13% from rail shot and the rest from relic procs and rapid shot... when i am "slacking a little bit" TM dps goes up and unload goes down

I agree 100% if you are not hitting enrage timers your dps is good enough and if you are having fun you win... and I agree 100% dummies vs raid are different things because PYRO running around still has his dots on... i just do not have a pyro merc in raid to compair against... if they put out dual spec i will use it to test myself which still would not be that good unless i play pyro until i have the kind of rotation body memory that I have on my arsenal.
  17. they broke it, it was bugged to the good, now it is bugged to the bad, they need to fix the bug. We definitely need to keep talking to them about it, now we have tools to prove it (combat log ftw)... if we don't keep on them about it they wont fix it but to say the sky is falling is a bit silly... we got insane crits from the last bug now it will hurt til they fix it. fyi my comments are not to the poster quoted, he just properly identifies the issue. I have to say that I was normally the top of the dps chart, now post 1.2c i am not, but i am still competitive. when they fix the broken mechanic and let our HSM work with our heat signatures i will be pretty happy with my output.

  19. yeah very intermittantly i have to throw one in here and there as well. Tested on the dummy and RS pulls 500-550 dps, on a long fight I am averaging 1100 to 1200... practics makes perfect i am sure I can get it up to 1300 by just getting better disciplined in my rotation and priority. i was actually surprised to see the 500dps on RS, i always feel so useless when i have to run and gun with it but i am apparently only half useless

I think this hits the nail on the head, all dps is the way to go on the droid, 3/4 of the lightning balls are not on the tank, therefore he does not have to move the boss so much.. boss moves, but when he is doing incinerate he plants and the kiting tank gets out of interrupt range meaning he needs to be cured of incinerate before wipe. basically this is a melee fail boss which is stupid, even though i am ranged.
  22. so I am armormech, I want orange belt/hands with augment slot. Anyone know any way to get an orange schem for belt or hands for armormech? i googled, I searched, I found nothing of value
  23. meh, they need to fix what they broke with HSM (i want my stacks to apply, not other stacks) but last night i was competing for top dps in HM FP (the new one) with a rakata geared marauder (even with my heat signatures not doing anything for HSM) so we are far from gimped. *edit* I was using MOX DPS meter so real time I was seeing that my DPS isnt half as bad as this thread implies*
