  1. Almost everything on the CM can be found on the GTN.
  2. Even with a 16 person group and paying every other member of the group 2 million, that is only 30 million per run and 90 million for three weeks. With the way credits drop from the sky in this game, that seems to be a reasonable price to me. I guess it comes down to how much you want that speeder. Which is more important to you, the speeder or the credits?
  3. So, it takes a few weeks and a little effort forming/finding groups to earn the speeder. It won't kill you if you don't get the speeder immediately for little to no effort.
  4. I believe that all of the companion customization options available via vendor should be legacy bound, since so many companions become available to both factions and all classes during and after KotFE. Outfits on the CE and security key vendors are another matter. I think the Imperial trooper and the Republic armor sets on the CE vendor should remain bind on pickup. I see no need for anyone on republic side, even a companion, to be wearing imperial armor, and the same goes for anyone on the imperial side to be wearing republic armor. That is just my opinion, though.
  5. It's a time sink. It also helps to even out the playing field a bit. With rep being account wide, those with many alts would have a huge advantage over those with few alts if there were no weekly cap. Nothing prevents you from doing those dailies all week, though, and storing the extra rep items so that you can simply use them in future weeks.
  6. I expect that after the current direct sale event ends, BW will go back to the previous direct sale model--with one or two items available for limited time direct sale and those items changing frequently (usually weekly, daily in a few cases).
  7. Let me sure I understand you. You claim to have been actively playing, but could not be bothered to even log in to the character that was GM of a guild for over 30 days? Logging in for even one second is all it would take to "reset the timer". That doesn't sound like a game problem, to me. To me, that sounds like a "player" problem.
  8. Would you prefer to see all gold toys priced at 2400 CC? If BW were to "standardize" cost according to type and rarity, why would they not just set the "standardized price" to the price of the highest priced in that category of type and rarity? Or is this just another "I think BW should let me buy what I want for a pittance--far less than it currently costs" thread?
  9. Alternatively, they could subscribe or purchase the unlock.
  10. I fully understand that, but those passes have been removed. There is no "a la carte" any longer. IMO, there is nothing wrong with that change. Could BW bring those passes back? Sure, but for now they are not an option. Either Johnny feels the part(s) of the game he enjoys is(are) worth the meager $15/month to subscribe or he doesn't. Let's be honest, the vast majority of people who do not subscribe are not likely going to be spending much, if anything on CC's. Those who subscribe will likely still represent the vast majority of revenue for BW, either in subscription revenue or CC's purchased.
  11. If you're not going to play the game, why does it matter to you if playing the game with all the bells and whistles requires a meager $15/month subscription?
  12. Does the person who only PVP's get to pay a pittance to participate in unlimited solo PVP or do they still have to subscribe, even if that PVP the only part of the game they "want"? Does the person who never PVP's and is only interested in OPS get to pay a pittance to enjoy those OPS or does he still have to subscribe, even though he doesn't want the "whole game"? The same concept applies to strongholds, decorating those strongholds and the credit cap. If you do not feel that the game, either as a whole or just the portions which you "want", is worth the $15/month subscription cost, then feel free to keep your money in your pocket. No one is forcing you to subscribe.
  13. Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better, but those who actually earned those rewards are not the ones who spent years crying and whining to BW to let them have those shinies. You can say it's just a game, but I have found that people who display entitled attitudes in game often have the same entitled attitudes in the real world. Some people have already stated that there are rewards they did not qualify to receive, but they accept that and are not asking BW to give them those rewards or even a "second chance" to obtain those rewards. That is NOT an entitled attitude.
  14. And I would be glad to loan you my "lawn mower" if I could. But you did not ask if your neighbor if you could "borrow" his lawn mower. You asked the lawn mower manufacturer for one of your own. There is a world of difference in those two "requests".
  15. If you did not feel you were entitled to those rewards, you would not be asking for them, would you?
  16. But "They got a shiny, so I deserve to get it also, even though I KNOW I did NOT meet the criteria to receive that shiny" is perfectly fine?
  17. The collection system has nothing to do with legacy. It is an ACCOUNT WIDE system tied to the CM. People can PURCHASE the option to create duplicates of collected CM items. Collecting a given item one time does not automatically give every character the option to create duplicates of that item. I do think that reputation being legacy wide was a mistake on BW's part, but they made that decision, just as they made the decision to keep social and valor ranks character specific.
  18. No big surprise, but the vast majority of those defending BW making these rewards available again are those that KNOW they did NOT meet the criteria to receive them when they were originally offered.
  19. It has been explained before, but the credit cap is one of the biggest incentives to subscribe. More than a few posters have indicated that if it were not for the credit cap they would not subscribe. Given that 12 months of subscription at the single month rate is $180, how much should BW charge to give players the option to play for free with no credit cap to offset the potential long term loss in revenue?
  20. You can play as preferred for free, although you do not get access to all the bells and whistles. If you want any of the bells and whistles you do not get while playing as preferred, then the answer is simple. SUBSCRIBE. If you don't feel that not having a credit cap and stronghold decorating are worth $15/month, then don't subscribe. Don't complain that CHOOSING to play for FREE means that you have to deal with that pesky credit cap, though.
  21. In other words, some people are just lazy and want to be rewarded on EACH AND EVERY CHARACTER, PRESENT AND FUTURE, for something they only did ONCE. Thank you for proving my earlier point.
  22. I agree that adding social points to more activities is a better "solution" than making social levels account wide. The question then becomes what should BW do when the inevitable increase in "make valor account wide" threads begins?
  23. Your character earned the social points, not you. If you can't see the difference (or refuse to admit the difference due to an aversion to effort), then I don't know what to tell you.
  24. Using your logic, each and every one of my characters, PRESENT AND FUTURE, should reap the rewards of every action I take in the game. Run an OP, get a new chestpiece? Each and every one of my characters, PRESENT AND FUTURE, should receive an equivalent chestpiece. After all, it was me who ran that OP, not my character, and since reputation is account wide, everything should be, right? Complete a quest and earn some XP? Each and every one of my characters, PRESENT AND FUTURE, should earn the same amount of XP. After all, it was me that completed that quest and earned that XP, not my character, and since reputation is account wide, everything should be, right? Complete a quest and earn some CXP? Each and every one of my characters, PRESENT AND FUTURE, should earn the same amount of CXP. After all, it was me that completed that quest and earned that CXP, not my character, and since reputation is account wide, everything should be, right? Earn some credits? Each and every one of my characters, PRESENT AND FUTURE, should earn the same amount of credits. After all, it was me that earned those credits, not my character, and since reputation is account wide, everything should be, right? The list can go on and on.
  25. Do you mean like how those who did NOT meet the requirements to receive either of those companions during the original promotions felt they were ENTITLED to them anyway and came to the forums demanding the BW make them available again? Yes, you are right. Entitlement IS a major problem, but that "entitlement" problem is those who want what others have and not those that have things others covet.
