Update on Ability Delay from Georg
Thegroundissour replied to AllisonBerryman's topic in General Discussion
sigh, you're the victim of their ruthless marketing. Don't count on the combat improving. They may reduce the ability lag slightly, but the combat is still going to be horribly slow and clunky. -
BW/EA need to stick to console games!!!!!
Thegroundissour replied to Twinstryk's topic in General Discussion
Agree, I'm done being polite. This game has failed players who are into pvp and responsive, competitive combat in general. I'll come back to MMO's in a few years when Bioware and Mythic especially has finally gone under due to their incompetence. Beyond the singleplayer experience it turns into a laggy ****fest, microstutters, terrible servers, ability delay and hundreds of gamebreaking bugs. At a 300 million development cost, this is quite simply the biggest flop in video game history. Oh well, at least the delusional star wars fanbois we keep it alive for a year or so, those idiots wouldn't know a decent MMO if it hit them in the manboobs. Focker OUT -
1.1 - Hats off to Bioware! You've earned my subscription.

the sad thing is this is the only post bioware will acknowledge. lalala to the rest. Wake up, your game is in shambles and the people want answers. -
Terrible FPS issues and ability lag in Warzones.
Thegroundissour replied to zStyLezZxx's topic in PvP
Before people tell me my system is borked, it runs Crysis, skyrim and every other heavy resource game at 60-90 fps maxed out and smooth as butter. Even weirder, the framerate in ToR is exactly the same on all low settings as it is on high. This screams shoddy optimisation. I think bioware are underestimating how many people will leave because of this. -

Terrible FPS issues and ability lag in Warzones.
Thegroundissour replied to zStyLezZxx's topic in PvP
It's brand new with 8gb DDR3, The strange thing is the first few battles will be around 50-70 then slowly as the battle wages on the framerate dips up and down like a yo-yo, after a few minutes it gets down to around 20-25 fps during heavy action Out in the open world my fps sits at around 110fps which feels great, but the second a few people come along it will drop to 60 fps fast. The drop is very noticeable. The fleet is a nightmare, around 15-30 fps when flying around with 250 people there. With lots of stutters. -

I have the system you're going to get except I have GTX 570 and the i5 2500k is overclocked to 4.7 ghz. Although the framerate is a bit better than yours.. 25-40 in warzones mid battle, it still 'feels' like 10-20 fps. I cancelled my sub after two WZ battles, The engine is obviously poorly coded/optimised when more than a couple of players are on the screen. A system like mine should not be micro stuttering and feeling really choppy. How the hell are low end systems coping lmao. -
New content, or a better UI? Which would you choose?
Thegroundissour replied to Zannis's topic in General Discussion
Another Bioware Blunder, this is why people are cancelling. I *********** knew they would release content before fixing the combat and UI. Pathetic, they really have no idea do they? -
Major Lag on in fleet areas + suggestion
Thegroundissour replied to SASsnipey's topic in General Discussion
don't listen to people who say they get great fps on the fleet, they don't. the game needs serious optimisation, this **** should have been done BEFORE release. at worst I get 15-20 when flying around the fleet with this spec i5 2500k @ 4.7 ghz GTX 570 OC 8gb dd3 1TB I know, messed up right? The worst part is it stutters horribly, terrible terrible engine. -
Why did Bioware choose the hero engine?
Thegroundissour replied to Mookiethejookie's topic in General Discussion
“It’s not productized yet,” we told Gordon. “There are whole sections of code that is only roughed in and not optimized for performance or security. And there are very few comments and very little documentation.” He didn’t care." LOL , game over swtor -
Dark Side/ Light Side Points HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thegroundissour replied to Datajack's topic in General Discussion
i know, it's a terrible tacked on system that was obviously done at the last minute with no real thought put into it. -
i get 110 fps in the open world or around 60 if there's a few people around, that is quite a big drop and very noticeable because there will be a few micro stutters now and then. with 100 people in the fleet it's around 60 when stood still and around 15-30 when flying around, not great considering my specs. i5 2500k @ 4.7 GTX 570 OC 8gb dd3 1TB hdd p.s that is with everything on high but shadows and bloom OFF
