  1. OMG you have no idea about crafting in this game, theres always a poster like this, there are search functions on the gtn. You do realise how many people cant find what they are looking for on the GTN right? And how small minded your view is right ? your thinking about how this will affect just you and how you might possible see some abused desh for sale extra on what you currently see OR if you read my post and they did it with a price premium of say 3million for the unlock, anyone who would be abusing desh in there spare time is going to be instantly priced out. If my items didnt sell i wouldnt make 1 million a week in sales. They do sell BUT some items which i would like to list which DO sell take longer to sell like a lvl 31 hilt... someone may by a hilt a lvl 20 but by the time they reach 31 im no longer listing an item, or in the case of nearly all GTNS atm no ones listing items. Your closed view single handly stops us being able to attempt! at least to try and populate the GTN with a half decent selection for people grinding. You say make something decent a single item which is going to sell... what items.. all people do is complain about the lack of decent things to craft, all devs tell us to do is "exploit the other areas for sales". We cant craft say 1 of every blue item in a single crafting tree... let alone 1 of every blue from every single crafting tree in say artifice... and what about those who have multiple characters crafting. So you basically have people ASKING what sells best rather than listing and finding out or you have trillions of people JUST listing space parts becuase they know they will sell and they simply havent got the time or the inclination to play the GTN properly not that you can with current limits. This means big gaps elsewhere becuase somethgins "low profit" or doesnt sell as fast as most players like, im not like that i want players to be able to buy any item at any time, becuase i know how much it sucks to hit lvl 23 search the gtn and find a few crappy green items people have looted and listed. SUCKS. And blue items sell..... becuase they are easier and cheaper to make with out relying on expensive materials. And it allows those grinding to get something at each level. Something needs to be done about the lack of GTN items, the problem was there when we had full servers, its massivly there now. The problem is GTN LIsting amounts... And dont forget separatly of that is LISTING TIMES.... this NEEDS to be done at a much high priority ... its simply too time consuming.. taking what little players there are away from things like pvp ques , group finder becuase they are spending the whole night listing items.
  2. Yes the mission system is borked the returns of treasure hunting are TWICE that of underworld trading metals.... beucase they dumped synthweaving cloths in with the metals. All this has done is ment a short supply of UT metal. Unfortunatly becuase of other pressure fixes like transfers and group finder which do need to be done first. Crafting and mission system is basically borked for the forseeable future.. so we make do. What most of us do is grind some extra characters just for slicing. Then run constant rich yeild grade 5 missions.. why grade 5 becuase mission system is borked.. rich yeild will usually bring backa 340 mission rich you can then mail to a main and run the mission .. 2hrs later youll be blessed with just enough to make 1 purple item... All the time your having to bounce between 4 - 6 different characters just to set missions off running... becuase some genuins at bioware for got to add a simple mission que ... how many missions would you like to run.. 5 this will cost X amount do you agree... yes... and away they go.. log off and actually play the game. Maybe then the pvp ques will go fast becuase everyones not stuck relisting items all night long. Those that are high end crafters like my self have been doing it since day one and have built up stacks of 99 madalorian iron and corsica gems. Not that we needed them becuase theres nothing high end people want... apart from the odd thing. Theres no fun in crafting its more of a money earner for me now once i realised it was a thought someone had in 2008 and hasnt been updated since, conceptually or possibly in code as well. If you want to make money theres plenty to be made as people when grinding will always cehck GTN first before going to world vendors.. why .. becuase its meant to be a fun part of the game searching the gtn and buying stuff.. instead when they press the search button on the GTN a tumble weed animation flys by... Some dust on the gtn keyboard. At somepoint they will fix the listing time problem and the GTN listing amount problem and the missions skills and and what we can craft .. but untill then we muddle through with bioware some how happy with the current system.
  3. There will always be a market for people buying crafting materials becuase quite frankly its a lot easier than a mission system with no ability to que missions... (subtle hint bioware). Prices are high becuase not enough people are listing crafting materials becuase in my opinion not enough people are either A: gathering to sell.. popular money maker in mmos B: People cant be bothered to play the GTN becuase its a pain in the butt relisting every 2 days. Which seems to fly by if you ask me.. The more people list crafting the materials the cheaper it gets i know if i see a stack of say one of the rarer grade 2 i would by it up at any half decent price.. so a new start with little money will have to use the mission system or run around in the world gathering. Yes the GTN as a whole needs massivly looking at, as does the crafting. And not just the big revamp that came with 1.2... ie :sorting out a few menus.. which ended up being bugged anyway.
  4. I dont believe so i use my normal ones as they changed them in 1.2 to 100% success so i send anything out on them as its a garrentied win coming back.
  5. Its not in the known issue list yet, it would be nice if a dev can get back to us on this one as its not part of the trash mobs that we clear them all... At little awkknodgement of this bug as i too got the generic response from customer service... its clearing the trigger missing from when stormcaller and firebrand die. If they make it so we all have to clear ALL trash then there would be a riot, clearing trash is already boring as hell, causing each ops and flashpoint to take way longer than it should as it is.
  6. Yups dps more and always ASSUME a blue bubble will appear on the stormcaller tank BEFORE defensive systems after the half way mark. After a couble destruction which i do call outs for the guild on voice any way i call out GET off the tank if at any point a early blue bubble appears on the tank. then we all cain off it super quick and under the sheild which will be there by the time we get there. down guys super quick and back on tank.. Really the two guys under sheild are underesitmated when dpsing in this fight you can really cut some time off the enrage by single killing these guys faster..

Yup we had the same thing clearing EC SM last night, glad to see its not just us we all bug reported it and got the standard we dont care reply saying they cant confirm our report (even though we where still in the OP at the time) and give us all the black hole tokens. We can confirm yes the second chest is indeed broken, the one in the trenches and we got there about 5 min after dropping the boss, Ie not leaving and coming back another night. I think some one said further up they think bowares messed up the trigger for the chest.. sounds about right to me!.. more patch more bugs.
  8. Tionese should have been dished out as schemes for crafting ie to all classes not just ones they gave a 5 min thought about. As a whole it should be ignored, if you have the crystals youll be at a point when your getting colmuni tokens in large amounts any way, so use the tokens to kit up your companion not your self, if your companions got a few missing spaces and a few level 29 items still, this can quickly give you a boost for doing dailys with 1 companion out. Thats about the only thing id use them for the increase from 50 crafted to 51 isnt worth wasting the tokens on. Aim for the colmuni, plus for future raiding whether you have colmuni will dictact whther of not your ready to do larger raiding like EC which is bare minimum.
  9. I definatly would want to see the GTN limit increase, but i think more important is the listing time increase currently, just stopping me having to relist soooo often would help out loads. A 1 week listing should be added for a start... Then reevaluate but id say it would eleviate a lot of peoples woes. Making them global legacy unlocks allows BW to control the unlocks verses econmy ie price it accordingly. Plus it also gives yet another thing to unlock in legacy which has no negatives.. Packing out the legacy unlock page only addeds to the atttractivness of the legacy system.
  10. Im so tired of spending all my time every 2 days relisting 200 items accross 4 or 5 characters... Its a quality of life fix plain and simple... My quality of life, i genuinely am getting tired of it and im one of only a few who bother any more on our server. Its just so much work.. its like they want it to be so hard we will stop bothering trying to keep it populated with a decent selection for people, that or they simply dont care about the gtn and crafting anymore. Theres just not enough people listing anything to justify any of the reasons for a 50 limit or 2 day limit anymore.. Its not like the servers are overloaded is it... Please increase this ... for my sanity... so i can get back to playing instead of spending the whole night on the gtn. If your worried about abuse do it as a global legacy unlock with a price tag that way in theory only genuine GTN users will want to unlock a gtn limit increase and listing time increase. I dont mind paying a premium for the privilage..
  11. Colmuni hilts probably my fav, though im using the nimans set at the moment becuase they are augmented.
  12. I dont really pay attention to my sub cost its only like 10 quid a month or something, im just playing and enjoying it. Yes id obviously like to see our server reach Standard traffic at most times of the day, but other people leaving isnt going to massivly effect my game play, we have our guild and can still PVE and enjoy the game even if every one else left. Im in it for the long haul. Looking forward to 1 year in this game will be pretty polished and i will have a solid 4 odd characters at 50.

I think if everyones in colmuni youll struggle on story mode, expect it to be a long drawn out process with lots of wipes, we couldnt do the last boss after 3 - 4 hours of trying with nearly everyone in full rakata. Its one of these big differences between a very large and very active guild and a very casual guild. The more casual your guild is the more gear your going to need as exampled by our not even downing one boss in 3 odd hours. The more you learn the mechanics the less gear youll need. Do i think its fair we have taken weeks of wipes just to get this far.. no, but its all a learning curve and we epic to get there eventually. Just dont listen to all those which say its easy in colmuni, the fight isnt easy and it isnt as easy as saying yes you can do it in colmuni. Some of the DPS races are VERY close even in full rakata.... Some people fail to take group compostitions into account when they are so fast to reply back on how awesome they are since they did it all in less than an hour as fresh 50 becuase they are the bestest. The more gear the better for your whole group. Expect to wipe a lot and take time learning the mechanics. If someone goes down, its usually bigtime, becuase someones messed up and missed a mechanic not due to gear, but the gear does give you more of a leway when it comes too small mistakes.

I think peoples main complaints are that its assumed to be doable in colmui gear which is a laugh, same as Story mode EC, Just another example of how very few of the people replying to these various interviews example the recent dev blog where he gave biowares intended progression path. I dont mind intended hard, but bioware openly stating this flashpoint and storymode EC being natural progression in colmuni gear, show just how much there heads are in the clouds when they design these things and that they obviously dont play the content them selves. They need to stop doing group testing with elietest fanboys. Do i think it should be nerfed no, but i do think it should be retuned with less of a bias agasint melee on the second droid. Same as trash needs to be thined out, im sorry but im hear to play this game and enjoy this game not be tortured into not bothering with content, yes it should be challenging but it shouldnt be class biased and it shouldnt take much more than 2 hours tops... Theres lots of other things to do in an evening it shouldnt dominate everyones time and should be in out, that was fun, got some gear, enjoyed the story back to doing other stuff like relisting GTN items which need to be listed ALL the friggin time...........

Good luck getting them to move me, im a die hard sub ill be staying what ever, that is unless they move me and i lose all my character names, unless they can impliment it so we can move to a super server and still keep our names if not then they will upset to many people forcing people to lose there names. It will be a mass sea of upset

  17. cheers for the reply, interesting that a couple of the big attacks are white.. so 98 is minimum then for accuracy for sentinal. I opted for the implants and earpeices from black hole which had no accuracy on as apposed to the ones for sentinal which did have it on. it dropped me down to that 98 but then i got a few rakata peices which i hadnt "optimised" and suddenly my accuracy was 102 ... Its good to know a minimum for accuracy though to keep it above it when messing with implants which IMO is a bit of a luxury with bh gear atm. But that will change soon enough with each week that passes. What about crit ? what is the max amount for crit without any buffs ? I was reading other threads and suddenly regreted my 5mil dropped into 2x crit +41 white crystals when i read that crit maxes out and that power is a better option. If this is the case when i learn black hole crafting maybe i can craft some enhancments with power and surge to balance me out a little?
  18. Ok, so im pretty much rull rakata / some black hole, im curious about the benefits of accuracy. Ive been trying to search the net, theres some interesting assumptions out there at the mo, and i was hoping to start a discussion on it mostly to put me right if im wrong. Im watchman spec by the way and id say also please keep this pve as the whole points to put out a little more info in that regard. So after searching the general concensus is that a boss has a 10% defence bonus which means that you will need 10% increase in basic accuracy to hit all the time. This is where the 100% and geta armour penitration increase comes in. BUT, that is basic attack ie WHITE DMG numbers. The Yellow basic attack seems to be special DMG numbers which starts of with a natural accuracy 10% higher than basic... which means even which basic accuracy of 90% youll never miss with special attacks. So i guess for sentinal how important are the white numbers.. basic. Verses say for inctance surge, power and crit. Ive also read the i only need between 23 - 30% crit as there is a hard cut off at 35% crit now does this include the smuggler buff or not as i here it doesnt... which would mean that id want to be closer to 35% for a 40% crit chance. Once i or more accurately you guys help me work out optimum numbers for sentinal then apprently you focus on stacking power and strength both apprently being roughly equal with no limits. Basically the other day i dropped it too 98% accurcay and saw and occasion miss with white attacks, but i didnt seem to notice an massive drop in dmg. Then i dropped in 2 rakata peices with large amounts of accuracy and went up to 102% now im not missing but obviously im wondering if i actually need it. To be fair i do use basic attack on sentinal alot, especially in boss fights with circles to watch on the floor, its important not to let the things agasint melee entirely stop you dpsing for that basic works a treat. any help on clarifing all this would be great guys.
  19. GTN works for the enterprising person... Yes theres a trillion things wrong with the gtn and crafting in general i consider the whole system beta.. and im waiting for the revamp.. GTN limit increase GTN listing limit increase Tool tips to let you know if you already know a schematic for operations (not that anything other than synthweaver or biochem drops) A new visual system to the current crafting menu, we need to see visually which ones we have unlocks and which ones are yet to unlock. More end level crafting. Some of us like REing purples just for fun, i feel with the new augment system they are drifitng some what away from that system, i hope they dont forget those of us who have spent a lot of time and money on unlocking nearly all purples.
  20. Purple doesnt drop other than an actual crystal drop, which in its self is pretty rare. Youve got more chance of a purple black core crystal than ordinary purple atm, and the schematic for crafting isnt in the game, just like you cant craft cyan. Magenta is separate, i was given the +41 schem for magenta but truthfully the demand for this which is none isnt worth the effort to create this... Personally i feel it was made way to time consuming to craft.
  21. Not great news to hear, we are all of course hoping its not down sizing and infact restructuring, if the current programmers havent got the skills needed to bring the technology to swtor then they need people who have. fingers crossed eh
  22. Yup an exchange vendor would be awesome.... my companions are all colmuni / rakata... im starting to get piles of tionese and colmuni.. Its a great idea, even if they do it at a harsh exchange rate it would be nice to have it..
  23. Yeah theres no pugs going for this on my server and none in my 25 strong guild ever want to do it... I want the BH comms but its not worth the wipes when you dont have at least 1 ranged dps 2 preferable. Which is not fair on me being a sentinal. They can make content like this i dont have a problem doing it when you use the right combo of characters, but it just means 90% arnt bothering to do it im sure they have the stats.. but maybe thats how they want it. We only did EC story mode this week so maybe its us and our guild thats the issue and not the flashpoint but we only have so much time and getting people organsied and motivated after a day at work in the evenings with RL mixed in is hard enough as it is, with out trying to do a flashpoint with monster walks after respawns and boss like the droid which owns melee but not ranged with monster fast wipes. I mean most just say no when asked. And if people are actually on and motivated the guild tends to vote to do either EC story mode or KP HM for gearing the guild, i dont think weve had a guild arranged FP since DEC / JAN. You know when you had to try it all once and experience it. Obviously we blew out extremely hard first try on LI, i mean like 10 wipes after on 10 secs and then long walk back and that was pretty much it for those guild members.. it took a long time before i was able to get any members to try again. I dont see how improvng loot helps in the slightest its still so hard as to put people off. Making it better loot wont motivate anyone if its still just as painfull. This ones only really for the big guilds with a lot of actives who can arrange a proper team to do it which is prepared for wipes. Which like i say is probably what they aimed it for not for us casual guilds.
