  1. yup i agree, sentinals way underpowered, to much time not dishing it out, and not enough when i get there. I know they wanted to make it so not everyone instantly rolled jedi, but i think its gone to far, sentinal should be a big dealer of damage. Maybe they need to change there dps testing to something other than a training dummy.
  2. Have them once a month, too shut people up. Seriously it was a great idea and why youve not done it once a month since is beyond me, it single handedly made everyone happy simultaniously for 2 weeks. Do it once a month randomly and you will see less complaining.
  3. Well they have the timer buff going on the buff bar, looks good enough for me congrats. was a good watch.
  4. 1. New crafting system, the current is ignored by devs and out dated. 2. space combat expanded off the rails free flight and pvp adding. 3. Pvp they need to go the guild wars 2 route, intergrating world pvp with normal pvp. They need to make pvp mater, i want to grind pvp becuase its a overall win for the republic and fun not just grinding for some more gear or something else with some tokens. 4. World events this was a great success and quite frankly its embarising that bioware hant done this once a month since it gets people together stops them talking and complaining and lets people decend on an area and have fun. This would have stopped a lot of complaining during server moves, and like i say was a massive oversight from bioware not doing it once a month since the rakgul event. These kind of things bring servers together and engadge players its something that should be developed and pushed out a lot.... Currently ive stopped doing space and pvp, im still doing ops and flashpoints i think group finder was a much needed addition. But even then the ops are limited beucase my guilds hlaf left the game. These are players that will happly pay, so f2p isnt the answer but more regular content packs would help, to finally push this game past the point of simply fixing bugs each week into developing much needed game features.

F2p will be a bad thing, it allows them to have smaller dev team just focusing on stupid cartel coins and stupid hats for a shop to try and drum up revenue, instead of working on content but more importantly new features and developing the actual game. It needs new features not just new content.
  6. As long as its on rails it will be a 1 hour thing for most players and then never played again. It could be so much more if they get the ship off the rails and make it pvp as well. But then theres a trillion things in swtor that fall short this is simply one undeveloped thing where they think just adding a new space content is enough.. well its not its boring and the new instance will get played once.. was that really worth the devlopment time. Stop making stupid cartel coins and stupid hats for f2p and get making this game in to something viable for the long term.
  7. for me, ive been in from the start and its still the same as the start just a "few" less bugs. My biggest gripe is the crafting system, its out dated and needs updating along with the gtn. The crafting system treats you like its a grind and how much hours can it hold you in the game will trying to run missions. I think this game should be beyond the point of using the crafting system to waste your hours away becuase of lack of content in other places. Plus with half the recipes being out dated even high end items like rakata craftables never went bind on equip so are basically redundant now verses the mats need for them. Its obvious its moving on from its original concept so why not revamp it rather than just leaving the old carcas in place for us to step over daily. I shouldnt have to spend the majority of a night trying to send all my chars comps out on misssions and relists endless items on the gtn becuase they dont stay up for long enough. You can try and defend it but its just one massive great example of something which needs attention but just gets ignored update after update after update. I just want some effort from them in something other than adding a couple of schemes every 3 months and ignoring all the other stuff we spent AGESss unlocking. One might say the f2p model has something incommon with the crafting system and how people who spent the time maxing out one proffession just get ignored and stuck with a worthless proffessions and hundreads of pointless schemes.

  9. I agree it needs something, half my guilds stopped playing now and quite frankly I too can't be bothered that much any more. I'll still keep the sub going, but I haven't logged in at all this week..
  10. I thought the resent use of the term money sink by a dev in dev tracker was pretty disgusting.. Its like saying hey come use us we are running a "scam". It might be a needed feature for a balanced economy but why tell us are lovely new legacy perks which we can"earn" with hard work and some credits are are a money sink. Like i say and im not the only one we thought it was pretty foot in mouth and like i say disgusting.
  11. 1. How do you think your Sentinel spec is perceived by other classes? I think people seem to think its overpowered which is a carry over from old 1.2 days maybe, they understand its downsides in pvp and most groups do not fear it and consider something like a gunslinger to deliver much more dmg. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? I love it in pve, but in pvp watchman simply doesnt do any dmg. Also attacks arnt the same as a gaurdan or in pve they are very strict on you getting the target directly in front of you not on top of you or slightly behind which in a fight or messy fight in pvp is hard you simply arnt allowed to fire off shots. Therefore the small dps which builds over time isnt applyed. Yes we have defensive cool downs and resolve which are fine for pve but in pvp the cooldowns are too long and im only really good once then im rubbish for 3 mins. Its also very hard to get in close to actually deal dmg with a 2min cooldown on resolve i spend all my pvp time stunned... sentinal is my main but i never use it for pvp any more... guardian or sage is more enjoyable as guadian attacks can fire off even if they are behind me not like the anal sentinals attacks. Sentinal has to be in a ranked group else its basically owned by all and deals very little damage. Becuase of the harsh melee restrictions when fighting sentinal should be a big damage dealer not out classed by others, espcially by ranged which have it easy all the time anyway. I can play as my ranged trooper with half the gear of sentinal and breeze through ops... Sentinals simply not OP enough considering what its meant to embody.
  12. I think lvl 50 schematic drops from primel destroyer only.... not seen any at +41 ever... considering how many have killed PD daily .. i even think that infos false... dispite a dev saying it drops. one of these situations where they think its working but nobody bothered to check.

Soz but maybe thats ok for some of the classes like assasin and sorc's which the devs seem to love so much but my sentinals a nightmare in pvp, stun stun stun, some of the stuns can last ages.. With no way to break out of it. Before you say resolve... it has a 2min cool down...... Now think about how many times in say a hut ball or voidstar you can spawn and die in those 2mins. if you use it thats it 2mins and you basically getting chain stunned. If im playing hutt ball i just have to never use resolve just incase i get to make a break for the goal line, and get hit but 5 diff stun affects and then a punt into the fire just for jollys. They have enough time to aim and take a run up im stunned for so long, 3 points sentinal in the fire. Everyones so fixated on sents power which tbh is rubbish at lvl 50 and a PITA to get any where near enough expertise to make pvp enjoyable.. They often forget that we have zero funky moves to do anything with, the only thing we can rely on is the power and tbh im half battle master with my biggest hit only ever being 2k and about 200 dmg a sec. I have lots more fun on my sage or guardian alt.. i mean the guardian not having to channel force stasis for a start, verses sentinals stun which does nothing as 95% are immune or have a full resolve bar. verses the guadians slow down move which effects ALL and helps the team out loads more than sents limp no affect stun. Guardians moves i can activate while being near a target, same as sentinal in pve.. but sentinal in pvp the moment the enenmy is even slightly on you you have to move to get off the next shot. and if your watchmen spec you need lots of little small moves to build up the damage, they only have to move slightly on you and you gotta keep moving and click a hundread buttons. Yet guardians not got the issue they could switch behind me and i can still activate the moves just like sent in pve. In fact i find im bring my sents constant moving and pace on to my guardian always keeping target in front and its so over kill and not needed, guardians a breeze by comparison. I suffer through boring defeats just to get the daily, being battered around like a cat toy by players with war hero. already, so that maybe some day i get the privialage of cuasing the same pain to some other poor suspecting guy in recruit or battlemaster gear thinking he has a chance. everyone says pvps good till lvl49.. maybe we could learn from that.. find which ever dev come up with expertise and kick him square in the nuts.

  15. I agree I've seen a noticeable increase in amount it takes to get a schematic from re.. I'm so fed up with the bugs ..and not know ing where we stand with REing.
  16. Its rediculas costs for artifice, and armstech... i bug reported it.. Disgusting that its basically 6x 4x x2 ... Once again the crafting profs are ballzed up...

  18. Hmm like I say hit 400 arms tech then went to the trainer the highest schem I could learn was 360... Nothing at 400. If it was as simple as walking to a trainer I wouldnt have to start a thread about it. I'll have another go tonight maybe you need to log off and on and it's a bug but traditionally as soon as I hit the required level they appear ... Hence thread...
  19. You can't re them .... And even if you can it's not like materials wise it compares to the belt etc on amour mech which only costs 2 of each mat too RE.. So as far as I'm aware then arms tech can craft augment kits but has no way of getting the materials to craft them from Reverse engineering any weopons .. At least not at top level ...

So i leveled up to 400 armstech ready for 1.3 to make my characters some augment kits, 1.3 stats it reuqires you to RE lvl 49 - 50 items which you can crit craft to ge the part you need for the augment kits.. So i hit 400 and go to the trainner and the max thing i can learn is 360.... Whats up with this am i bugged or is there genuinely no level 50 items for me to RE for aug kit mats ?
  21. In general its great to see updates finally to crafting and items, even if its only just a step in the right direction. Cant wait till crafting gets a proper overhaul removing all of the out dated duplicate schems which where just dropped in to pad it out. Just a small note on augments, with regards to below 49+ you say if your at 40 - 49 level you can only put in augments at that level, i think your seriously over estimating the amount of components which drop at those levels in say purple. I know as some who can craft everything for my example: leveling sage, it was often easy and faster to simply sit and grind from 30 - 40, than spend hours running missions, gathering components and crafting all the peices we need say 6 purple level 35 armouring mods take about 1hr30 min to finish, by which time im at the next level. thats not counting the mods, enhancments and ear peice and offhand i can do on my cybertech and artifice. All im saying is at the moment if you actually play it and take your time to try and actually craft this stuff at each level you will quickly give up after about level 25 trying to keep up with it, its simply too expensive to try and do it past then in regards material costs and there return rates from missions... in this example i had augment slots available but it was simply to much work to keep up with them and all the other gear.. if we are leveling its honestly easy to just get out there and just level... The whole system needs to be reworked to make it so that we have incentive to craft items at each level or at the very least remove gtn listing times and amount limits so that crafters can at least attempt to cover more bases so the leveling alt which has no way of crafting everything for himself even if hes 400 in all thats needed, can at least buy it, else youll just find everyones just looting greens and leveling, becuase the grind and just getting stuck into is quicker than any gear benifit you can craft or buy. Thus making your aditions to any thing beliow 49+ redundant and actually a hinderance. Just my thoughts as someone who just leveled his 3 character to 50. Any augment which is below the stated MK level should still be allowed to be equiped.. thus when we upgraded to the next mark we dont nessarally need to buy or craft and new augment we can you the augment from the lvl below. Not perfect but would save us having to chuck away an augment and replace it with potentially nothing, as drop rates are pretty low and prices high as a result.

Its the same with rkata relics and grenades ... all outdated and a waste of spcae in the crafting menu since they are bind on pickup.. biowares to lazy to back date the new change to stuff previously created.. Just 1 symptom of crafting as a whole needing a revamp... hopefully it gets it after the first year.
  23. Nothing more annoying than someone spamming general with sales ... Just imagine if everyone did it .. Suddenly your special because it's high level. No Also if you must it should be done in trade channel .. If you must. So others can turn it off. Just list it on the gtn, then people can see the price .. See how overpriced it is and ignore it with out having to waste your time and general chat space too find out.
  24. Like i say it should be a choice not a requirement. I play for the republic, my characters are lightside. Isnt that the whole point in having two sides...
  25. wow someone that does space combat... /faints... I find it very similar to watching paint dry. And the 8min ones basically a kick sqaure in the nuts.. Grade 8 only... with 1.3 BH comms will be more prolific, there for less painfull RE attempts. When you do get a schematic, it will be pretty much the most valuable thing for sale on the GTN. And for that you need grade 8 boxes.. The big guilds will have a monopoly on this, especially the guild leaders with dibs on the bind on equip drops and youll find a lot of competition, and people trying to undercut each other for a sale, this is obviously in 1.3. Unfortunatly the devs have glossed over schematics for tionese and colmuni and rakata.. . even lvl 23 items you cant even make, apart from the pretty rare operation drop from nightmare mode for colmuni enhancments and mods, and even then the price it fetches on the GTN doesnt really cover the ingrediant costs unless you in a big guild that gets many and sells cheap to guildys.. So even if they where to release all the schems they wouldnt fetch enough to justify making them, and it would be far easier using the group finder in 1.3 for the daily flashpoint reward. The messed up big time, we could have had lots of fun trying to gather all the colmuni and tionesse and maybe even rakata schemes and crafting them which might actually give crafters something half decent to craft for once but no they make only a couple of schems available and make them rare as hell, crafting always gets screwed.. It was easier for me to get the top lvl magenta schem in end and crit (apprently rare), than even 1 colmuni schem as artifice and cybertech something which is so out dated with 1.3 i just dont understand why they dont give them to use for something to do as crafters.
