It has done this since launch. If I get flagged by any method other than right clicking and choosing toggle, I have to toggle it on, then toggle it off again (2 toggles)

Anger and jealousy, unfortunately. To start, I am insulted they threw this rehashed junk at me. Then I am mad at the crap alliance / classic convo nonsense - big step backward Then I am mad at the total lack of interaction while the story plays out. The sound and video quality of the whole thing looks like something from the 90s. The 3d artwork is AWFUL. I could look past the nightmare than is the Lana model for SoR, but now that high school C- project is my companion. But then , to top it off, my wife loves it. other people are gobbling what I think to be absolute **** and an insult up and declaring it the best thing since sliced bread. But, some people love the Twilight movies so.. what can you do other than vent? So I know it isn't going to change. the only playable star wars game is no longer fun for me. Intelligent stories? don't need em. Challenging combat? don't need it. Social game play? no one wants it. So, to sum up, I am angry I feel it is ****ed up so bad, and jealous my wife is still enjoying it. I am jealous of the people that have the ability to ignore the quality and just have fun with it Mainstream entertainment, whether its TV, Movies, Board Games, or video games, are all being dumbed down for the plebs. There is no way out of it, its all about the money. I gave up on TV, I just let the drivel play when I need to kill time. It is both a blessing and a curse this phenomenon has reached video games. Gaming is now mainstream, but unfortunately now we have to deal with where the biggest source of money is.

I think - I have not done it - that it would work like the character rename they gifted us. I would try logging in to your account on the website, and choose which character gets it.

Arg. So I logged in to test my other characters this morning. All fine on characters I haven't started the expansion on. I switched back to the one I have done the story on to confirm it is every companion.. and the issue seems to have gone away. It may be as you suggested, it might be a flag that says "need companion here" that did not get turned off when I completed a mission. I was long done the story when the issue frustrated me enough to post here. And it did affect all my current companions. /shrug. I'll pay attention and post back if it happens again, might be able to pin down the cause.

Yes, that auto targeting companion has caused me to have rage breaks many times... I actually thought I was screwing up and clicking them.

I am trying to play through without my companion. I have tried this with T7, Lana, Theron, and HK Take a shuttle, Companion summons. Dismiss companion. Take elevator. Companion summons Dismiss companion Talk to NPC. Companion summons Dismiss companion Quick travel to quest. Companion summons Dismiss Companion Ad infinitum. The following actions cause my companion to spawn every time: NPC conversation Take elevator Quick travel Travel By Quest item Shuttle

The core game is pretty much unchanged. They screwed some abilities for some of my favorite characters, this pissed me off, but stuff like that I can get over in a few days. Level sync is good. I love the idea of new content being added in existing areas. I love that the game is no longer 90% crap that I don't care about or would never travel to. The story is weak, asinine, and a straight copy paste from other games. Plot holes the size of mack truck. No continuity. also, there are few really big head shakers: The new companion system is an absolute fail. The new endgame grind is.. companion gifts? The reason I go back to planets I visited for is to get.. companion affection? When I "win" the purple trunk, I don't even get the dialogue playing as I drive away like Yavin or Rishi, I get ... silence. Very heroic. Even all that I could probably get over, however the cut scene animations are WAY to fast, very jarring. The light sources, I do not have the technical terminology to articulate what is wrong with them, but all the new content looks horrible. The sound... everything new in this expansion sounds like a 1980s AM radio station. Just awful. The crafting... oh dear where to start. I'm actually a bit torn here, as the crafting did need some fixing. Getting rid of the double mat;good. I had a ton of enhancements that had different names, and the exact same stats, getting rid of those; good. Moving certain items to different profession; Bad Shoving a bunch of stuff into "archive" and removing them from the game;bad. I hope the alliance garbage stays optional. I only ran one character through the story to get to it, so I could see firsthand what is was. All my other characters will not be doing it. I really, really hope they fix the companion terminal, so my main character gets the companions I want back, and I can play it normally. I am so frustrated that this story based progression was done so poorly. I love the story. I am the guy you are yelling at the screen "spacebar plz" when doing your group finder weekly. I make my ops group wait when I take a character who has not been there yet before a boss fight. This expansion really feels like they fired anyone one worked on the game before, and brought in the Mass Effect team. Don't get me wrong, I loved Mass Effect, and the first time I played it, the story blew me away. This feels like cheap last ditch effort to gather as many new subs as possible by regurgitating previously successful content.

It will. People will be excited as the movie date draws nearer, and it is very easy to get in the game and start playing. What drew me to the game is gone; I feel used and marginalized. Having played through Mass Effect and Dragon Age, I spent the time I managed to stay logged in angrily space barring through the "new" content. But losing me , and people like me, is a price the company is willing to pay, because there are tons of people who find entertainment in this kind of game. I have been in a state of nerdrage for 5 days now. I finally managed to stay logged in enough to get to the new 65+ content (alliance), and just felt... tricked. But, I understand that my rage is fueling other peoples dump trucks of money to the company's door, so I am just looking for something else to play. The game was SO GOOD. It had light sabers I am angry I can't enjoy it anymore I am even more angry that my anger is irrelevant.

Yup - this is it. There are way more easily pleased people than there are people who realize exactly how we have been cheaped out on. New players will just enjoy the game that is here now, giving a **** less for the game that was.

There is way more than that. About 4 minutes in, I was going "uuuhhh", 10 minutes in I was going, "noooo... really?" I made it to chapter 4, as soon as Koth started talking, I started hitting the space bar. And I am the person who made my wife sit through every movie in every flash point at least twice. I played this game already. What's even more disappointing is the plot devices used to make this copying possible. They used every one of the plot devices that they teach you not to use in grade 7 english class except for "once upon a time" and "It was all a dream"....oh...wait. Watching my wife play the pokemon game (shes finished chapt 9) has relieved me of any interest in completing it. Just wish I had used my free 60 to start the expansion, not my first character. Edit: I couldn't log back in to the character after the first reference to the eternal fleet being some unknown millennia old tech. Couldn't handle confirmation they ripping ME story off that badly. That toon is sitting in a swamp somewhere about to click something that is going to make Koth talk to them.

I made a character just to transfer my legacy to another server so I can play when Harbinger goes down. Put on a xp boost, and was 16 in about 45 minutes. I grabbed the heroics as soon as I got Vette. Pretty sure you wouldn't have much trouble grinding out a trooper for the buffs I could not go back and start them on the 60 Merc I made.

I did have an issue, but logging out the free 60, logging back in a character who had the buff unlock, then back into the free 60 enabled my buff perk. To clarify, I had long completed all the chapter 3 stories. The buff didn't work right away on the free 60.

This is a strange issue. I bought the Mira armour set, and it is in my collection now. Is it just *some* sets?

I'm sorry, while agree removing them was a **** move, putting up you tube videos of phone calls to the secretaries at the company who have no idea what is going on and do not make any decisions to make yourself feel better is tasteless Tier 1 support are nothing more than secretaries, they have a set number of responses, and have no idea why things are done.

The reason for the names was to show which stat they had Ie Guardian / might were strength, Which was for Sith Warrior / Jedi Knight Now the tanking pieces can be used by either a Powertech/ Vanguard or Juggernaut / Guardian You have to decide for yourself what sub stat you want. You don't have to worry about equipping something "wrong" anymore. The days of shaking our heads at Aim geared scoundrels is over
