  1. I have looked around the site and I have yet to find these logs.
  2. I don't care about epeen. I care why some mobs kill me and some don't. I want to know what is shredding through my armor and what isn't. I want to know which of my attacks is performing better against certain mobs. This is for casual, solo play.
  3. I had missed this thread and a mod closed mine, so I will add this - The bottom line is the lack of a true combat really reduces my enjoyment as I am trying to play my character effectively. I want to know what I am dying, the SCT is buggy and cluttered.
  4. With 1.2, Bioware is allowing the recording and dumping of combat data, as I understand. This information will not be accessible in-game. It will be dumped to a file at some poorly understood interval. The file itself seems to require an additional program (written by players) in order to glean any useful data from it. In the PTS forums, people are noting that it is difficult to get any hard data from the files because of problems writing these parsers and understanding how the log actually works. I assume that eventually this will be overcome, and it seems that the log will be able to provide players, or should I say top guilds, with information and metrics to help improve their game performance, which is great. However, for me, this combat log is pretty much a waste of time. You know what I want to know? Why some my guardian gets tore up by some NPCS yet can stand toe to toe with others for hours. Why my scrapper can waltz through a number of elite with no problem but then I have to spend a minute killing a strong no readily explainable reason. I can see no good reason why we don't get this information. This is sort of stuff that I think would increase both the high-end and casual gaming experience. Instead, we got a clunky info dump that has yet to produce a lot of meaningful on the PTS.
  5. I hate to break it to you, but we like our scoundrels too. If we didn't, we would have rerolled another class already and not waste our time on this dead-end spec.* That doesn't mean we have to like ridiculous unjustified changes that continually reduce our effectiveness in both PvE and PvP. *Of course this pertains to Scrapper and DF specs, as far as I can tell, Sawbones is peachy.
  6. First of all, petitions are actually against the forum rules. Second of all they do nothing. And finally, devs do not listen to player feedback.
  7. Aren't we done with this? There is no such thing as "hybrid" DPS. You are a DPS spec, a heal spec, or a tank spec. Get over it. All things being equal, We should be competitive with ALL OTHER DPS specs, it doesn't matter what they are. They may have some more tools, or have an easier time getting to their ideal DPS, but we still have to be competitive or Bioware has failed to reach their stated goals. Stop holding onto your archaic class design ideas, we aren't playing EQ anymore.
  8. Yes, there was a post in the OP forums about it, and I think the lead combat designer came in and said something to the effect of "so what?"
  9. Actually, I am not sure that is true. The Disciple (Mikal)is officially the one who followed the Exile (since she was female) and then reformed the order.
  10. Unless you want to heal, I would suggest a Shadow spec (that is, reroll a Shadow). ;-)
  11. Great. We have a bunch of energy to waste on Quick Shot because everything else is on cool down.
  12. Unfortunately you were correct, and I predict that we will see less and less movement in this forum as well as fewer earlier join dates as people, especially those of us who played multiple iterations of beta, become too frustrated to waste our time.
  13. The increased cool down does not in any make up for the damage reduction. In addition, it ALSO reduces that amount the Fletchete Round's DOT will be up. The talents which some have thought might make up for the damage reduction do not in fact do that. We may have a crap ton of energy, but the through put on it is going to be sad to say the least.
  14. What are you? High? Quote from someone on the PTS:
  15. Actually, it has been posted in the PTR forums that even with talents we are getting a reduction in damage.
  16. How can you say that? The increase in the cooldown for BB is not made up for in any way by the damage increase, it is a joke. Again, light armor (coughsorcscough) were made that we could kill them SOMETIMES (latency permitting) with a double SF, so that was removed. I bet they haven't even bothered to fix the knockdown bug with shoot first. I have a JG at 49, but I think I may roll a Shadow. What about everyone else?
  17. I suppose it is time for the last hold-outs to re-roll. I just can't understand. The least played class gets stomped (in terms of the main DPS spec that is), or at least it seems that way.
  18. Yes. Real life arguments. Good job with that. The problem is that Operatives can move while performing their equivalent skill. Also, I would like some damned consistency in the effect. Sometimes they lean over from getting their daddy bags kicked, other times I apparently punt them across the room.
  19. You are right about during the leveling process, it is just annoying that the best thing we can make for a level 50 is replaced by a half hour of work once they reach 50.
  20. Did you crit on them? Are those the orange ones? Does that mean you spent 12 biometric crystals on them? It is still pathetic that all our orange recipes require biometric crystals, unlike synth and armor.
  21. Good list. I wonder if the demand for knives will keep going down or not. I had forgotten about shotguns on the Republic side (which is sad, since I am a scoundrel!), but that is a good idea too.
  22. The problem with this is that if they plan ahead, they know they spend a half hour doing dailies and get better barrels, so spending money on them is a waste.
  23. Good point on the level 31, I will keep that in mind. I used to sell the grade 22 barrels, but the market is hit or miss with it. Also, the poster who pointed out that aim barrels were better had a good tip as well.
  24. So, thought I would ask the few people who still have armstech what, if anything, they are selling on the GTN. Right now I have 4 or 5 purple techblade recipes that I am selling, but it is hit or miss, and the other moron armstechs on my server have basically destroyed the market for those. What about barrels? Are there any that are profitable? What about particular levels of items? Anyone found a level range that is consistently profitable?
