  1. I've played MM and lethality, so I"ll give some thoughts based on that, although I am going to ignore the existence of huttball entirely. MM is a stationary pressure dps and lethality to me is support dps as it's dot based, so first you should use them for what they are good at. The answer to the question of "who should I attack" is generally a priority target that isn't presently using defensive cooldowns. A priority target would be a good healer, pressure dps that is attacking your teams priority targets, a tank that is either babysitting the good healer/ plays their tank as if it's a healer essentially or a pressure dps that hits hard but is more prone to attack whoever. From what I have seen a large number of the healers out there mostly heal themselves and a large number of the tank specs finish with garbage protection numbers while largely being in the main fight (to me the most useless players in the game), I find it important to know which ones you can ignore and which ones need to be taken out. If there are two healers I will try to take out/ pressure the weaker one first, most groups seem to want to do the opposite. If you let the weaker one free cast he'll be cross-healing the good one, that's not what you want at all. However I think the main goal as a dps is to try to put the odds of a fight in your favor as often as possible. You have a 30m ranged area mezz that you should be using on enemies that bunch up that aren't being attacked, most snipers/ slingers I see seem to save this so they can stack explosive probe and one of their cast abilities. I try to use it to turn 6 on 6's into 6 on 3's for a few seconds. Rooting a melee that is pressuring your healer often is often useful, although some of them may start turning their guns on you as a result. If they do, in my opinion, you need to make them feel that fighting you is zero fun if you are mm, to me mm and gunnery commando are the easiest specs to take out of their role via pressure. You also have good tools to try and separate tanks from their healers. If you are lethality you should be trying to soften up as many targets as possible in my opinion. Dot classes are damage inflaters, so use the aoes and I would focus more so on players that can't clear your dots so you get the most out of cull. When I play this spec, which I rarely do, I also do my best to make sure the rare good tank is always dotted. They can't clear them themselves and the healer they are guarding will have to waste cooldowns to clear them, so it's win win. In that situation I dot the tank and focus the healer as often as possible. If you are MM I would say healers (sorc and bh before operative, as I feel operatives useful mobility can too routinely negate mm, where if you make a sorc sprint away they aren't healing anyone) you have a heal debuff and I feel you do the best front loaded single target range damage in the game. I think it's also important that if a stealth decides to try and do their job by taking you out with any regularity you need to do your best to make it so they won't want to fight you again. I also try to keep my teams healers in sight so I can both peel for them and so I can pressure those who are pressuring them when need be. That's obviously long but how I generally decide who to target and when.
  2. When you consider the amount of pre launch advertising there was (in addition to launch game sales) combined with the fact the game was free to play within a year I'd say they probably somewhat are yes.
  3. If I was never put in a huttball match ever again I'd be thrilled, in fact I often log out after huttball. I know a fair amount of people that could do without it as well. They can add all the silly ball maps they want to in the future as long as I'm allowed to que for specific warzones
  4. The why is so they can drum up interest in these older items now and boost sales, as they are about to become scarce for players. It will also likely help sales of their newer market releases as there will be less variety for pack buyers. The removal will also likely help their sales when they rerelease these products. My guess would be 3-6 months, I would specifically guess right around black friday. It will mean for a time the only way you will be able to buy these items is if people have been holding onto them, but honestly I'd be absolutely shocked if they don't bring these packs back within the next year. Some items you will be able to get still I think
  5. To be perfectly honest 18 bucks per character is the cheapest I"ve seen in any game I've played
  6. I would guess you'll get to find out in a year to 18 months when they make a new planetary quest line and call it an expansion.
  7. I would probably try to stick it out with an undergeared guy if they weren't scum. It seems to me the random players from your first two scenarios are scum, I would have vote kicked him and put him on ignore the moment he said anything about the people in your guild. Not sure what you were thinking having them put up with that.
  8. "We are going to temporarily remove items from the cartel market so that we can re-add them later and act like we are providing something new. As you saw with the huttsbane outfit, we are running out of ideas already."
  9. You make an excellent point.
  10. Yeah two sleeps white bar you. It's also the only mezz in the game that has no cooldown and it's an extra mezz for the stealthers. I think one should white bar you myself
  11. I think you're kidding yourself with your prices, a level 20ish blue enhancement isn't worth anywhere near 25k. Another thing with low level items like that is people make them to re them into purple, then dump the excess blues. To be perfectly honest with you if this has you in a literal fit of rage, you might want to quit crafting for profit all together.
  12. If they are new and have never seen it before then I have no qualms with them watching it. If they have seen it before I'm totally with you, I have never left the group based on that but I have definitely considered it because it is so much longer that way
  13. I think you should be fine, I also think you'd have to get lucky to get attacked by opposing players. If you do though it could be an extremely fun situation
  14. The chances of getting on a pug team where everyone is pretty solid are slim though
  15. I find the concept of putting on worse gear to get better stats to be absurd, I was basically asking if that's the reality since I have a few guys I haven't played in a year. Also I didn't find recruit gear discouraging when I leveled a new 50, most warzones are more dependent on your team than anything else. If they have 2 healers and a tank and you double the damage of everyone else on your team, it might be a rough ride, regardless of gear
  16. I appreciate the response. On my other guys I have what I leveled in, on these two guys I only had pieces from the original 3 pvp sets and I also have no interest at all in pve. So again I appreciate it
  17. I hit 55 with 3000 ranked comms, 1500 comms, and I think 4 weapons I could trade in. So I bought main hand, off hand with the regular comms and two implants with the ranked. The problem I have on these guys is I don't have relics or basically anything on the left side that doesn't have expertise, my other guys I've been fine with. So you're saying I should get green crap gear to put in those slots instead? Wearing worse gear for better stats is a new concept to me.
  18. I don't mind the concept at all, I think they botched it though. For instance I have two republic guys that I haven't geared since the first few months after launch, I have absolutely no idea how to go about gearing those dudes for this pvp grind in the interim. A month or two ago I'd get a recruit set, now I have to do what, buy pve gear?
  19. Because you really like crowd control? Because you're under the impression the ability to kill other players isn't what winning warzones should be based around, but that a whole team spam capping novare is a more accurate barometer of who should win? My reason is that it's star wars, this game might actually have the worst pvp I've taken part in
  20. I think that one is going to be 360, not 60 coins. I'm not sure what's causing your issue, trying to save you from getting aggravated twice though
  21. It's really going to be a question of do they just let you switch acs for $10-$15 or are they going to let commandos become sentinels for $10-$15.
  22. Something new that separates it, right now it's basically your same ole mmo with lightsabers, voice overs (which for me most of them are needless), and lots of crowd control. The base game is extremely limited at this point though
  23. It was one of the recent updates for me, I don't recall which one specifically now.
