  1. Once again you make posts that attack anyone who doesn't share your point of view. Who are you to say how the game was meant to be played? Play it your style and have fun with it. But don't come on here and sh it all over those who want to do things as quickly as possible. That's just as selfish on your part as is the behavior you're complaining about.
  2. Lol it's absolutely unreal how people who think those that skip bosses are selfish but won't for a second believe they are being selfish for expecting people to kill everything. Can easily turn your example around and say you can't be "arsed to" skip a boss. I don't expect to convert any non-skippers into skippers here, but get real about the whole world's selfish but me QQ. Your point is that people are selfish because they won't do what you want. Period. Picture it for one second from the other person's/people's point of view. My guess is you won't because, what a shock, you're selfish in your own way too.
  3. Had a guildee in a bad pug get crit for 41k by an enraged, gamorrean-buffed Bonethrasher once.
  4. And your story is just as cool... Again, point is there's a large community of people who don't think they should disappear and said community aren't jerks just because some people don't get what they want. Do the full FP, skip most of it, idc; but when people QQ that others are a-holes because they don't agree, then it's an issue. As is suggesting that the game be altered to give one group their specific desire. Bottom line is if you pug, you get what you get. I don't want to do the whole thing for the 114th time, so I don't. If that pisses some people off, then that's unfortunate, but I don't start QQ threads about how people are "anti-social" because they don't agree, which is how this whole thing started. We can agree to disagree about how FPs should be run, but I strongly oppose fixing FPs to require mandatory all-boss kills.
  5. The real issue I have with Kaon (and all of my guildees and in-game friends as well) is that it is still a freaking bug-fest. After months of being out... Invisible walls, mobs that chain knock you back into said wall and get you insta-gibbed, walls that cut off the tank and keep him/her from getting to the mobs prison-ra pe the healer, mobs that appear 20yds away from where they are and cause accidental pulls, bosses that glitch (behemoth I'm talking to you), and my personal favorite: the packs of Tionese mercenaries not aggroed on you who occassionally clip a party member with stray fire and put the whole group into combat. Personally, I would be more than happy with the next patch introducing zero new content and simply being a "hey guys, here's a ton of bug fixes looooooooong overdue. O and here's an updated codex too. Hey it's almost Christmas, might as well put it on the list...
  6. I'm full DG on main, partial DG/full camp on one alt, full camp on 2nd alt and a few mods short on a 4th. I don't need welfare gear: I earned it along with many people back in the beginning. These runs are purely for comms for r/e purposes. Thus why myself and people like myself don't feel the need to sit through redundant instances for any longer than is necessary. But way to completely misread what I said. /clap for you. It's also very amusing to see you talk about whining when you've posted way more on here. This whole thread is a QQ on how people who skip are ***** and not all of us are. Amazing how those like you who disagree are quick to insult and cry and call us names, but when we defend our positions we're whining. That's the curse of the MMO though: a generation of gamers who think the community owes them a living.
  7. Wonderful not comprehending what "antisocial means." Because one person doesn't agree with the others they are antisocial? Neither behaviours are antisocial. This forum isn't about people who want to skip it all or people who want to do it all; it's about people whining about them and calling them antisocial. They aren't.
  8. Wonderful generalization there. If you don't want to take 30 min to do a FP doable in 15, you're anti-social. Newsflash: As much as you say people are jerks because they want to skip things that are unnecessary, I can say people who demand to do it all irregardless of everyone else are just as douchey. Not everyone sees things your way and not everyone who wants to speed things up is an anti-social a-hole.
  9. No it's not wrong. If you want to see the story, do all bosses, etc then go in guild. BW just introduced a welfare system as it is giving all 50's a free set of Tier 1 gear that most of us had to work for back in the day. It's fascinating to see people who think skippers "have no respect" for them, yet have zero issue with making people who have done these FPs dozens of times and need nothing but the comms sit through every convo without spacebaring, kill literally every extraeneous mob and do obsolete bosses for gear that's made redundant or worse by the new welfare system. Making a FP incomplete until all bosses are dead is both a joke and an insult. What happens when you get a group of horrid pugs (don't laugh, they're out there in droves with F2P now) who can't kill a boss? Then you're just ff-d. Hard as it may be to believe, some people don't have a ton of time to spend grinding the same FPs over and over and some have to do several a day and don't want it to be an all day extravaganza. You want thoughts so here's one: how about those players who have done said FPs more times then they can count automatically receive 5 BH comms upon logging in once per day? It eliminates the need for them to carry people and allows you to do the FPs with like-minded and poorly-geared people who can then kill anything and everything that moves till your heart's content. Everybody wins!
  10. No, no, no. They do not need to be nerfed. None of the new space missions are even remotely hard once you get the hang of them. This is a textbook example of what's wrong in MMOs: some people don't get something in the first week, thus it's too difficult and should be made easier. Nevermind the fact that thousands of people enjoy the "challenge" of slightly harder missions. Nevermind that lots (read most people) of players have cleared them all (and on multiple characters). Something that's "hard" gives you more satisfaction when completed. Put on the big boy/girl pants and practice. Don't ask for a nerf to the new missions a week into them because you can't get them down yet.
  11. You sound like a very bad player who instead of actually learning his class, lashes out at anyone and everyone. "It's everyone's fault but mine" won't get you far in life, even less further in an MMO. You want suggestions? Go play Hello Kitty's Adventure Island.
  12. First off, they aren't nearly as hard as you claim; once you know what you're doing in each one, they become simple. "Impossible" is a word bandied about by people who lack skill, tenacity or both. If by your own admission you're a "prettydarned good pilot," then you should be rolling these by now. Second, you make credits (quite a few) for each bonus mission, putting the net gain at around 13k-23k per. Not bad for 4-6 min of work. Third, those fleet comms add up quickly, and you get a grade 8 crafting materials box for 200 which contain matricies and/or stabilizers. I received 3 stabilizers in each of the last 2 boxes, which sold for 200k each. Again, not a bad return on a few minutes work. Fourth, just because something isn't faceroll doesn't mean it's not worth doing. You kinda sound like the kid who tried to climb a tree once, fell on his *** then said "this is stupid and people who climb trees are stupid."
  13. Actually if you do the math, there's really almost no noticible difference between augmenting power or strength. You have 14 pieces of gear that can be augmented at 18 str or pwr thus netting 252 stat of your choice (14 x 18). If you choose pwr, you get 58.06 (252 / 4.34) bonus damage. If you choose str, you get 50.4 (252 / 5) bonus damage. On that alone pwr would be an obvious choice. However, with str you also gain (even with no innate % buff talent) an additional 1.56% crit. The choice for the player then becomes "Is 8 base damage better than 1.56% crit?" There is no right or wrong answer really. For the record I choose str, as I find the crit outweighs the 8 pwr, but to each his own.
  14. Should've tried this back in early January when the fight REQUIRED two interrupters for the headshot or it almost couldn't be done. All you need to do is put down your pisspool and light heal the group and you're good through the volley. Another trick for those new to the fight is to have everyone run around the boss up to the bridge (where you saw the ship captain die in the beginning) and have the tank run to the big blocking console behind the boss' starting point, aggro the boss, hide behind the console, let the boss come to you and then begin dps. The adds (which were a bi-tch way back when) will sit there doing nothing until Ironfist is dead and then you may kill them at your leisure.
  15. First post or 101st post, you're way overdramatic about how the loot is. Acting like the world's ending because you only got one drop is going to get you replys like these. I lost count of how many exclamation points !!!!!! you used in your post. Does the loot distribution in this game suck? Yes, but !!!!!! isn't going to make it better.
  16. Clearly to piss you off. Really? All the issues with SWTOR and you think this is the low point? You can live with all of these bugs but the LOOT TABLE is the breaking point for you? You're yanking our chains right? Pretty sure they do, as they want it to last a while and keep the "zomg loot is so ez 2 get" QQ to a minimum. If doing the same content for 4 months kills the game for your players, they really aren't as "hardcore" as you think. Do you mean EIGHT WHOLE WEEKS??? The exact amount of time as it takes to get 8 people the same drop from doing just the first boss in EC? The very SAME op you said had a well-designed loot table? How does your guild find the strength to go on? Seriously though dude, while I feel your pain at the odd choices Bioware has made for loot (don't get me started on the pisspoor mod/armoring/enhancement optimizations), you really seem a bit melodramatic here. The game isn't ruined because you didn't get 2 DG tokens off the first boss and if you did, odds are you'd be back here after 8 weeks lamenting that TFB was too easy to gear in and your guild of "hardcore players" quit due to boredom instead of lootrage.
  17. I'll be brutally honest, I've played this game from day 1 of launch; been on a destination server that got over 12 other servers crammed into us at the first move and now we, one of the most crowded servers, are being crammed into another "superserver" and I may have to lose my characters names? Sorry Bioware, I'll cancel the account as soon as I log on should that happen. You talk about all the factors you considered in doing this yet fail to mention even one, so we have no idea if it's arbitrary or what. Hiding behind platitudes like "we believe this will be the best gaming experience" blah blah blah means nothing unless you show us how and why you do things.
  18. BT is also retardedly easy and short, unlike the esseles. Solo that and it'll be impressive...
  19. As I previously responded on one of these posts, if you put in tickets and get the helpful CSRs (and yes there are some), they will credit you for several bugged ones. I think I have received something like 34 that way. They just verify that it's a known issue and that you have completed the planet and boom - there you go. Gotten my Sentinel's codex to 639/742. Missing 3 pvp titles and the hm Kephess kill that would put me at 644/742. That leaves 98 that are bugged, removed or I just don't know about. Keep checking the sites though - this community (the codex hunters for lack of a better term) has been extremely useful.
  20. Their customer service was great until around post 1.2 where they sacked 1/2 their staff. Now it's very hit and miss with the misses being blatantly cut-and-paste responses and the response times often being 3-5 days.
  21. Can I get an AMEN Brother? We have the EXACT same issue on Drooga's Pleasure Barge, another lucky server that Bioware decided to overstuff and cripple. 2-3 of every fleet at times and the lag on fleet is still almost unbearable with the ops experiencing the same issue. Could not kill hm Kephess the last 2 weeks due to the same issues you mention along with periodic FIVE second lag spikes. And before people say "get a better pc," mine is more than capable of handling anything SWTOR can throw at it and the same spikes are hitting people with $3000 pcs and $700 video cards. It affects the whole op. In fact key guild members have quit this week over this very issue. Seriously Bioware, this isn't mindless QQ for the sake of QQ; people are leaving your game in droves due to this and other problems and a free pet as an apology for overburdening the servers isn't going to cut it. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with your customer service last week and the representative swore that this was a serious issue, it was the "#1 priority" for the developers and that it would be addressed "soon." Of course "soon" is a great word because it could mean 15 minutes or 3 months. Why is it everytime a feature or fix is added to this game a critical flaw is included with it? Low-pop servers? Let's have free transfers BUT allow a ludicrous amount of people to go to a small handful of servers not built for it and cripple them. Lag on the fleet? Let's add more fleet instances BUT require over 230 people to be in one before a new one spawns and put the transfer on an inexplicable 30 minute cd. New character perks added in patch? Let's add some decent ones for alts but the only really useful ones for max-level characters (improved sprint speed and increased chance to learn a schematic from reverse engineering) that were promised for months get removed without a word. I could go on but this is about lag so I don't wan't to hijack the post and go off on different tangents; you get the point anyway. This is a great game and, like any great game, it has hiccups from time to time. The issue for you all however is that you take far too long to fix problems (how many months was it till Soa was "bug free?") and the fixes all include some critical flaw that seems to have been capriciously included with no forethought. Less focus on legacy perks Bioware, and more on quality of life like no lag and overpopulated servers. It's insane that there are 110+ US servers with "light" populations and then almost nothing in between until you get to the 3-4 that are "very heavy" and the top 5 that are "full" with ocassional ques (which is assanine). So I ask you Bioware: how long till this issue is fixed? I really don't want to quit but this is my last month unless it's resolved.
  22. Had a few sessions over the past week with some very helpful CSRs who fixed about 29 of my bugged entries and it appears as though there are only 110 entries for epic enemies (not counting nightmare Denova) available. So no need to search for 4 hits that aren't there. On the plus side, while the codex was largely ignored again in thepatch; the 6/7 bug on Belsavis for Republic was fixed to now show 6/6.
