  1. Is that confirmed to be a bug or is that you just assuming/guessing? Because according to the achievements, there's new world bosses on Alderaan and Taris.
  2. Thank you Dulfy for your help and for creating the best guides out there. Now if we could just get the codex bugs fixed so the other achievements could be done Any word on that Amber?
  3. Closing this and doing a 2.0 version as EAware has bugged my ability to update 1.0. Please DO NOT make further posts here as they will NOT be added to 2.0. Make them on the 2.0 Thread. Ty to all who have contributed so far. Valence
  4. Guide is now complete here and on Dulfy's site at http://dulfy.net/2013/04/17/swtor-mcr-99-droid-reconnaissance-achievement-guide/ Underlined and color-coated planets are fully complete and confirmed by myself. 5. Yea I'm still going to update this until she posts her completed one, though as always I recommend using her for most things. *** As of 11am PST this morning, the swtor site won't let me edit the main post on here, still says site's "too busy" or w/e. Bear with me while I work on this, or go to Dulfy's site. I can't find her guide for this yet on her page, but she has a link above in what I assume is her post.***
  6. This site has been "overloaded" for hours now and won't let me edit it. I will include all the last posts as soon as it allows. However, if the post above is Dulfy, might as well use her site since she's the go to girl on this sort of thing.
  7. No, alacrity is a dps loss on any gear for us. Perhaps, and it's unlikely, that at end "expansion" in BIS gear it might be ok, but as of now: ALACRITY = BAD.
  8. Currently, I'm pretty sure that with the poor returns from the on proc damage relics, the new Boundless ages relic and the old EWH +120 power relic are bis.
  9. "Combat has been criticized for being a little too simple to play. While they have lots of fun utility, their core rotation was a little boring. " Uhh since when? I despise when the devs flat out LIE to us like we haven't a clue. Combat rotation isn't as complex as watchman but is sure as hell more complex than any other dps spec in game (no 4-5 button wonders here, you classes know who you are), especially in terms of being punishingly unforgiving (and I've played every class in game so I do know what I'm talking about). While HOJ is really fun and can lead to super burst, it's still clunky and has a better-than-not chance to proc at decidedly inopportune times and be wasted. Twin saber throw is incredibly fun and a nice boost to aoe, looks amazing too, but there's a lot of poor choices the devs made including the alacrity thing and the nerfing of zen focus reducers that hurt, big time. It's been said 100,000 times, but alacrity is poor for knights/warriors. Period. No amount of dev spin will change that. Not counting zen, the amount of alacrity you have to have to make any noticeable difference is laughable and since it doesn't affect master strike (our best move) why on earth would we take it over accuracy or surge? We're the only classes that have to generate our own resources and we have to do it through very inefficient means. Speeding up those inefficient means with alacrity is neither fun nor optimal. Just as an aside, you really borked up opportune attack too guys. Makes an already complex rotation more so; get to risk standing in fire now just to watch and see if it procced. All in all, the changes aren't as crippling as they looked on paper, and the spec is still fun, but please don't bull**** us and say the rotation was too simple or boring. You nerfed us because we were the top dps and people QQd. The kicker is in order to top the meters with any spec of sentinel, you have to be above average and use a complex rotation. We've all seen a ton of terribad sents/maras out there. Now the new FOTM is ez mode gs/sniper; my gs guildees even say it's ludicrously simple and does huge #s.
  10. Lol Sorcerer QQ still continues to be a never-ending source of amusement. Most played class in game and has the most utility of any class but EAware hates you right?
  11. Lol so funny to see all the imperial players get so emo over this. Got a major spoiler here boys and girls: no matter what, he's going to be dead by the time SW: episode 1 comes out. Palpatine isn't the same emperor from this game/game timeline. Dead now, dead in SW1, doesn't matter, but just soooo amusing to see how pissy imperials get when someone says "he's dead."
  12. Starting this as the go-to spot for finding these little guys. Post your findings here. If the necessary viewpoint is from a specific area, please make sure to mention it. Will update this as information comes in. Underlined planets are fully complete and confirmed by myself. Note that my Imperials are not leveled to macrobinocular quest level yet, so confirmation will take a while. Thanks to all so far, keep them coming in. One note, please specify the area you are when you post (ie: Jundland Wastes or Justicar Territory). If I miss your info, send me a personal message and I'll rectify it. 13. WTB legacy datacrons, it's honestly not fun to do the jawa balloon/trooper knock-you-up 8 times. But I'll trade it all for FIXED codicies.
  14. Guys, this is OLD news: the Terentatek codex/achievement on Tython is bugged, has been since beta. So far the ONLY way to get credit is to petition CSRS, and hope you get a decent one who will credit you. That's how I finished Tython.
  15. Yes, you will need the binoculars and possibly the seeker droids.
  16. Hello all. Please post your findings on any hidden achievements, especially the planetary ones. I believe someone has found the one from Dromand Kaas. Thanks in advance and have fun all.
  17. Yes I have the same thing for Tython, 96%. All the planets are 10 pts short on exploration achievements. Apparantly there are secret achievements.
  18. ^^^This, 1000 times this. I'm not ashamed to admit I'm a completionist with probably one of the most filled-out codicies in the game, and this really, really pisses me off. When I logged into the game after 2.0 and was looking at all the achievements, I was excited. Then, after getting 7000 points or w/e it is to start, I saw how they buggered it up: I get that they cannot credit you retroactively for "x" amount of wampa kills and so on, but how is it I have op bosses and fp bosses not credited but the credit for the last boss is given? Not like I can skip Jarg/Sorno and get to Karagga... How does HK not have 10000/10000 affection when I'm staring at his 10000/10000 bar? Then the biggie, the mother of all shi tty things for me: they didn't fix the ffing codex bugs as the quote here says. How can you institute a system that encourages and REQUIRES you to get codex hits, then not fix them? Back in June we were promised a fix, where is it? The achievement system isn't a fix, it's building a skyscraper on a bad foundation. Considering hanging it up for a while now, and this sure didn't help matters. Really just another half-as sed thing from EAware. Sad thing is, it had and still has so much potential.
  19. Of course gear matters. But making an assanine comment like 10 thousand hours of playtime to know one's class is pretty dick-ish too; besides being ridiculous. Of course you're probably the kind of player who says everyone who beats you in pvp is a hacker and anyone who has end-game gear has no life. Point being, if you're having to blow every cd you have and are still struggling; don't try to solo it.
  20. T7 is very much viable. The point of your "tank" companion isn't to help you dps, it's to keep aggro off you just long enough to splat the elites. You're squishy as hell as a sentinel, but you put out so much dps, especially as combat, that it doesn't matter. Been soling that since columi/rakata and it's easily doable with your droid buddy. My T7 now has 26k+ hp and almost kills a silver on his own while I violate one silver and the gold. As for cds, you don't really need them that much in BH gear and beyond. Awe them if it's up to buy you time, and in that time ANY combat sentinel should obliterate one silver with the PS/MS/BS combo and be well on your way to killing the 2nd silver before it wears off. Rebuke and pacify if you need, but if you have to use saber ward on any group you might want to rethink soling it. If you require GBTF on that quest, it's time to re-roll your class. That may sound dick-ish, but since it seems people are asking how to do this for style points and not for simply completing the quest, there it is. Bottom line: T7 rocks, just have to understand the concept behind what he's there for. Otherwise just use Kira and fareroll the trio of elites; but be prepared to Introspect after each mob.
  21. ROFLMFAO a scoundrel QQing about anything in pvp is far more laughable than anything a sent/mara could QQ about. Sentinels/Marauders are "too cheap..." G T F O with that bs, mr. dps scoundrel. Getting hit by the entire duration of MS/Ravage? With dirty kick, flash grenade, dodge and disappearing act? That my friend is bad scoundrel play. And if the sent/mara isn't combat/carnage and you are eating the 3rd tick, that's even worse. 30yrds away and still getting hit? Bollocks. Complete and utter fantasy and delusion. As for 9k hits in focus, yes it's doable but would require full power stacking, the 15% wz icon buff, inspiration and a dude in no expertise gear. If all those stars align, the knight/warrior deserves a 9k hit. You say you're not trolling, I declare shennanigans. Shotgun, stun, shotgun stun, pew pew, vanish repeat dead and you QQ about master strike/ravage... Thank you for the late night laugh though.
  22. ^^ This, 100%. Someone who gets it. I'm not going to get into the whole epeen stroking thing that some people on here have, but it's so funny to see how many watchmen are in denial both in game and on here. They refuse to believe that any other spec for pve is even remotely viable. Combat's good people. Period. And guess what? So is Watchman. Play what you're good at and enjoy it. Combat is less rocket science but requires extremely precise timing and is fairly unforgiving for mistakes, whereas Watchman is tricker to execute but light years more forgiving. Both are viable pve dps. Some people like burns, more power to them. I enjoy seeing 8k+ last ticks of master strike on non-gimmickie op bosses more so I'll stick to that. (And before people start calling bs, that is with inspiration, Exotech Adrenal and DG BA relic popped.)
  23. Roflmfao, are you seriously complaining that sorcs are UNDERPOWERED? For real? You have the most cc of any class, the most ***-savers on the lowest cds, oh and bubble spec (the most op thing in pvp now). Hiding behind a wall of melee spamming lightning and then running is hard I hear... Seriously not trying to insult or troll you, but if you think sorcs need a buff of any kind you're delusional. Now faceroll jugg/guardian smash spec and pyrotech pwrtcs need balancing, that I'll agree with.
  24. ^ This, 1000x this. Honestly Idc one way or another about SGR, just an excuse for 13 yr olds to say "ZOMG I GOT TO SCISSOR MY COMPANION!!!" Redo of Ilum meh, was broken from start to finish. Added difficulty modes, meh. Yes I want NiM Asation, but tbh it should've been in from the get-go. Having to go back and do previous content "only harder" is tacky and speaks of lazy game design and stalling. They have spent the majority of their developer time giving us vague hints of what may or may not ever get in-game and adding re-skinned items to the $$$ store. How about the long promised, never delivered update of the retardedly overdue codex system? Yes, most people don't care about it, but I guarantee more care about that than SGR and a new throne thats silver instead of red. Why does Gharj still bug out in EV? Why are the vorticies in hm tfb still gone and the anomaly phases still gone? Why does my game crash to desktop when I finish Esseles or BT? It's sh it like this that they need to work on. Yes new content is hugely important, but my God if you can't get your ducks in working order for content 12 mo. old, how can we trust it won't be more of the same? The next update needs to simply be 1.7 "Rise of the Exterminators." Fix the bugs and codicies and only that. Then and only then should you be putting in SGR, Ilum re-deux, pink thrones and the like.
  25. You stated in your thread that BW should look into making fps that cannot be completed until all bosses are killed and that the trend (of skipping bosses) is "simply wrong." The very title of the thread is "Gamebreaking behaviour..." You can't now backtrack and say it's not a complaint thread against people who skip bosses. It is very much that. I can see your point of view, even though I adamantly disagree with it. What you and your fellow non-skippers seem to want however is a game world where all fps are done as you want them done. Do you not see how that's trying to impose your will on all players? If you don't want to skip, go with a group who doesn't. But don't ask that BW make sweeping changes to the entire fp system because you want to see/do it all. That's just as unfair to those who want to skip as you're claiming skipping is to non-skippers.
