  1. So apparently I just lost my guild name. -__- I had the guild name of "Relic" PRE-LAUNCH and was ported into Port Nowhere when the game launched (we also had the highest number of members on the Guild Pre-Launch on the SWTOR Guild site with Relic as the guild name). We even made it to the guild summit back when it was hosted at Bioware. Since then we were forcibly moved to Prophecy of the Five when the first Server transfers went live to stay on a populated server. Since then we've been active and playing the game with a healthy member base as we have since the start of this game... Now I log in to find we've been changed to "Relic @ Prophecy of the Five" I did a double take and went to the server list to find....We're still on Pot5. I can't change the name back to "Relic" because apparently someone else already has it?!? We were here first....they should have to change it. The only possible reason I could think of our "Play time" for the guild is lower is because we had to recreate it come 1st set of Server transfers...But that shouldn't have been counted against us! Please Bioware, we are rather attached that guild name...and I'd hate to lose it to a guild of 6 schoolmates just running around casually
  2. I completely agree, even with color matching some of these sets look COMPLETELY off and like they don't belong at all. For example. the Commando Elite PROTOTYPE Set (the ones you can get as quest rewards): http://tor-fashion.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/commandoeliteprototypefrontfar.jpg look at the boots. those go quite well with the set, but if you look at the Crafted commando elite boots: http://i.imgur.com/NCDaa.jpg They don't seem to go with the set at all, besides the colors being completely off. :/ Color matched and they still look off. I'm trying to get the gloves and as soon as I do I'll repost a complete commando elite set for a comparison. I REALLY hope this gets fixed as well as some of the other issues such as sets not being grouped properly in the list.
  3. I really hope Guild Ships come soon I really think that'll liven up this game quite a bit
  4. I have a feeling the theory about the blind fire around a corner/from cover is correct....but I'd rather here it from Bioware so we'd know for certain what it was all about.
  5. I'm really enjoying the LFG Tool with a few exceptions: The Role Icon's seem to be random and I would also like to see something that tells you what role you were assigned when the queue pop's (yeah I can move my mouse over my role icon or look but something larger would be nice. But that's just the lazy in me speaking.) My other issue with the LFG Tool is something I think may be just affecting me. First time I used the LFG Tool I got in an EV group. We ran it but I never got the rewards for completing the run. Now I can't use the default queue setup to join a group. I have to manually deselect EV (which prevents me from completing the daily reward) otherwise it'll NEVER actually put me in a queue. Now that I've done 4 in a single day and 8 total FP's this week I doubt I'm going to get either of the titles based purely on the fact I couldn't join the queue's unless I deselected EV....which is technically not leaving it as default.. Put in two bug reports but they aren't showing up in my list of tickets. wwwwwwwwrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyy
  6. First off, server transfers are a scant 3 days away. I'd wait for those unless you are switching server "types" (RP-PvE to PvP for example) or have some other real reason to re-roll on a new server without moving your legacy. I personally am glad I went armormech. You are your guild's best friend for those that want a different look with orange gear. Plus you can make a variety of augments (while a couple other crewskills pick up the ones you can't make.) and with 1.3 you as well as armstech and synthweavers can make "Augment Kits" which allow someone to manually add an augment slot in just about any piece of gear. Biochemists and Cybertechs can't make those kits. But I also am with you on end game, unless people actively ask you for gear (or you sell your wares on the GTN) you really aren't benefiting from anything special, whereas biochemists can make their own reusables (though BW is straying from those as they become obsolete statwise.) and cybertechs can make those handy grenades. *shrug* I'm also rambling, so I'll cut it there. all in all TL;DR - you are how you make your craft. I enjoy being an armormech and really looking forward to the demand that'll be placed on the GTN for the augment kits when 1.3 goes live.
  7. My problem with this is we have a lot of players that are taking a break or will be back shortly after 1.3 launches. WIthout a MOTD saying "Hey We've transfered to "X Server, hit up This player for a /ginvite when you arrive" they might just think they were kicked from the guild for inactivity. :/
  8. Exactly this ^ His concerns match my own. We've got a bunch of players that we need to coordinate since we can't just move a guild. The sooner the information is made available the smoother we can make the transition for our guild members.
  9. A Video of the announcement shown at E3 (skip to 2:14 for the actual trailer)
  10. I love the performance MX mouse (because I use it for more than gaming) inside the game though it left a lot ot be desired without going into setpoint and changing a few things (for me I have to make sure setpoint is running as admin otherwise the tweaks won't work in game.) What I had to do to get the "Zoom" and the hidden thumb button to work in game was to make a profile in the setpoint software for SWTOR and just assigned them F-Key buttons (F11 and F12) For the "Forward" and "Back" Buttons, while they worked with the game out of the box, would be VERY unresponsive and I would either have to mash the button for the game to react or make sure I wasn't holding ANY keyboard or mouse button, then press either of those keys. (The buttons worked flawlessly outside the game though.) BUUUUT going into the profile I made for SWTOR in setpoint again I just assigned those the other two FKey's in that Block (F9 and F10) and the game seems to like that better and it uses the ability even though I may be panning the camera (with the right mouse button) and moving forward (with the keyboard) and pressing the assigned buttons on the mouse. Overall again, I love the mouse. Just had to tweak it for SWTOR for a happy experience. Besides, it's not often that I find a mouse that has a happy heft and hand feel that suits me.
  11. my thought exactly. I am really excited about -all- the GTN Kiosks being neutral. (More than likely due to the fact that I'm playing on a dying server and the pub faction's GTN is all but empty. Being able to access the larger Imp sellers for mats would open doors and less hassle in trying to find a buyer for certain goods. plus It actually might make the Legacy GTN worth something xD edit: the post below me had a good point about artifice and made me take back my statement about artifice. Not perfect, but options are there.
  12. Yeah a Healer and myself have been two manning HM FP's on Port Nowhere. It really has made the game exciting and challenging again xD.
  13. I had a blast at this and was surprised how well the community came together for it. Many more ideas for the next event, and can't wait for it. If you want a good server community, you have to take that first step and make one! (team boxing matches how awesome would that be? )
  14. Finally! Port Nowhere gets the schematic! Elik (Republic) or his message his alt Durin'sbane (Sith)
  15. So I should take from it that Field Re-spec is an activated ability on a cooldown (much like the fleet pass) that resets your skill points? Or is its functionality different?
  16. Sooo the listing of "Field Respec" in the Legacy menu (under the "Coming in 1.3 section" )is something other than duel spec? Or should that legacy page be titled something else bioware?
  17. My forum name is my in game name edit: well, i guess just the first part, the second is my legacy name "Voren"
  18. I'm on that server and looking for someone to make the jerky as well, I have the mats
  19. QFT. This is my exact feelings on it. I purchased this having a strong feeling that it wouldn't be usable in Warzones and combat but what I really wanted was something to keep up with those guys with force sprint in places that you can't mount.
  20. You can still heal in DPS Spec with Medical Probe and Advanced Medical Probe. Of course with less efficiency and are missing some other heals such as the ones you spec into, but then you are spec'd for DPS not heals...still can heal though. Vanguards can only guard when using their "Ion Cell" (Their Tank Stance) which some hybrid spec's can use. For which they are nerfing Vanguards ability to hybrid to a point with the 1.2 patch. (the ability to finish the CD on High Impact Bolt with Ion Pulse or Stock Strike can only occur when the player is using "Plasma Cell" instead of it working with any.)
  21. It's not often I actually log in when reading these forum posts...But I felt that I needed to login in to reply to this thread I agree with you completely on your opinions, especially the risk vs reward in regards to Hard and Nightmare modes as well as that the 16 mans shouldn't be "easier". I feel that making 16 mans easier would diminish the spirit and rush large groups get when completing something as a large team. My guild also felt that there was no point in running nightmare when hard mode could be cleared much faster, with less effort, and with the same reward. Again with just 16 mans in general: with nothing to a reward to set it apart, why run 16's other than the self satisfaction from saying we did it? Consider this post /signed.
