  1. When the cartel market updates - so you'll see them. Calm.
  2. The ONE that is available to you. Be you republic or empire, light or dark - the main story is the same for all. As said above, a few dialogue changes for the force and non-force users. Some choices which apparently "matter" (means you get a companion to add to the 20 or so you already have or not) and that is about it. Some of the companions you can recruit later can be gotten easier if you've had them in a "past life" so for example as a consular Quezen's recruitment is all rather straightforward. Alas game has gone from 8 class stories and 2 planetary faction story arcs to one single story for all.
  3. Still amazed at why people are finding the time to moan about level sync: Can you still beat everything (with the exception of world bosses) - Yes Can you still beat everything without worry of death (except word bosses) - Yes So what exactly does level sync mean you cannot do? Well - no more solo'ing word bosses - which is a good thing, as there was nothing worse than getting a large group together for conquest points etc. just to have someone come along and solo it. You can no longer go into normal mode FP's totoally over-levelled and walk through them. So, two things you cannot do post level sync - yet this warrants a completely new server for those that want to walk around with their level 65 e-peen out on Tython? Fix really not required. With the game going from 8 class stories to 1 combined and 2 distinct planet faction stories to 1, rather time was spent trying to keep that single thread of ongoing game going than trying to satisfy the "but I wanna just one-shot everything" crew - the usual vocal minority.
  4. Wow - amazing patch notes. So looking forward to this one dropping. With the pathetic amount of notes there I am more than expecting there to be more broken things than fixed.
  5. Personally I'll probably throw all my toys out of the pram, cry and moan on the forums, threaten my sub and then write an "open letter to Bioware....." as to why my opinion counts more than others. Threaten some more to quit and then quietly get on with the game.
  6. Because that is a cut & paste response. These have never been legacy perks - everyone would have bought 1,2 & 3 on day one and never worried about speeders again.
  7. Just wondered if it would be like the last one where "super December" was described, with all these different events taking place - then at least two of them failed to run, but because you'd all been given December off - it didn't matter. Something like that again?
  8. Yer, then you see it isn't canon You can feel what you like about any Star Wars product, but unless it is part of Disney's canon then simply put - it isn't canon. This is the whole reason we have canon - so that we have a set text that explains everything that you need to know. By not having a "canon master" you end up with the incredible pile of BS that was the "expanded universe" and boy was there some complete and utter rubbish there.
  9. They've been pretty clear that going forward there won't be any more individual story arcs. I mean, KOTFE we've effectively got one story shared by both factions - and no, a few dialogue changes do not a new version of the missions make. As long as KOTFE is going on it'll be one story for all. If we ever get back to Rep Vs Imp we might start getting two again, but that does take more man power, cost more money....so your best guess.
  10. It's a long way off, but the Richard Garriott spiritual successor to Ultima Online (Shroud of the Avatar) is the only one I've really got my eyes on. Back to skills being improved via use, rather than the "kill loads of bunnies and then increase your fishing skill" style which you get with XP. I backed it when it was Kickstarter and so far the alpha's are playing well.
  11. You don't boost an existing character, you create a new character that starts at level 60. It will have not completed the original 1-50 story, nor will that story be available to the character. You can go back and do the planetary line on planets etc. The "boost" is a little misleading. It's a new character, not a boost to an existing one.
  12. So once again I've just wasted a load of time in game - The Foundry, tactical, HK-47. After our little group of all DPS, levels 32-65, all died for the 5th time we decided to quit - really have got better things to do with our lives. So *** are you supposed to do to get past this? HK vanishes into his little shield thing, pops out and proceeds to more or less one shot each person in turn. You've got 3 healing pods, but they don't protect you through this. So, for future reference, is there a way around this or should I just quit this FP as soon as it pops? Remember everyone - BW have decided that any FP can be tactical with the addition of healing pods, so I'm assuming I'm just being dumb on this one.
  13. XP gain is ridiculous. Right now you're on 2x and that cannot be switched off. If you complete the entire starter planet, go to the fleet and complete the crew skills and stronghold missions. Then run a single WZ to clear the "introduction to" and then a single flashpoint to clear the "introduction to" you'll be at level 20+. Apparently this is now the "streamline" levelling of the game and with planetary "level caps" it's apparently not supposed to be a problem. Of course the fact you have access to loads of abilities you shouldn't have even though you are level synced seems to have escaped the designers minds. The game as I see it now is either: Pay for level 60 token, complete fallen empire - wait for more chapters or Save your credits, get to 60 within 3-4 hours, complete fallen empire - wait for more chapters And this apparently is going to keep the subs rolling in and the game alive.
  14. Just popped on the forums for a real quick look - real life far more important at this time of year. I saw this thread title and assumed it would be a joke post, one as response maybe to people wanting everything optional. But no - once again we find people who really want to play this game as a single-player one where nobody at all can interfere with their game. Some of the community in this "so-called" multiplayer game just make me want to laugh and smack people aside the head at the same time.
  15. Remember that big list of "features for December" that was proudly displayed on the website and talked about during live stream? Basically, it was all rubbish and all they gave us was 2x XP which simply isn't needed in all new, streamlined Care Bear mode. Great work BW - keep those subs rolling in.
  16. LOL - it's a restart guys, there will be no fixes. What is broken now will remain so until January - they will not attempt any fixes on the 22nd December when their staff will not be back in the building until 4th January at the earliest.
  17. Yer, I mean getting a level 60 character with 3 crew skills set to 500. Terrible, terrible work by BW there.
  18. I know what you mean. This guy I knew in the game - well he was minding his own business and was moving some stacks around when suddenly a duplicate stack appeared, so he thought "eeep, better get rid of those". Unfortunately the vendor window was open and he ended up selling them to a vendor. Then, he moved another stack and low and behold another one appeared. He accidentally put that on the GTN.
  19. Yer, because as players we should all be banding together and having sympathy for cheats and exploiters who want to be able to get the best items without work or spending credits and who have the potential to destroy an already "on the edge" in-game community - is that what you are suggesting? The guy's a cheat, that makes him scum - so "see ya" is by far the only response I have for him.
  20. Nobody is attempting to take away your precious xp gain (new character to level 22 before leaving starter planet) people want an OPTION - all quite simple.
  21. I ran a character that I do actually want to level up quickly last night (only one). Ran Tython (all missions I'll admit - but the place is so small it doesn't add too much time) then ran the heroic on same planet. Went to fleet and collected my crew skills, went to my stronghold after picking up the mission (I'm just listing all the things I did that would generate XP). With a standard 25% XP bonus (character not in a guild). I'm now at level 22 - that's before visiting my second planet/collecting ship etc. Quite what anybody totally new to the game is thinking I don't know.
  22. Alas as more people see the movie, more "holes" will appear in game. I've got an alt that I want to level double-quick, so I'm actually using him during the 2x XP. Tython chat is full of some "real characters" just shouting out spoiler after spoiler in main chat. I know, a lot of fans will see this film ASAP, but there will be many who have their experience ruined by someone - hoped it wouldn't be the community here, but alas....
  23. No, that's not what I'm saying at all - but thanks for your input.
  24. Actually, I suppose maybe I should be thanking you as you've solved any issue I may have had on which characters I'm going to play between now and January - very basically NONE that I wanted to learn how to play correctly, or learn rotations etc. As if you haven't dumbed the game down enough - you know, making everything so simple and XP gains so massive - to the point where if you decide to run the whole of the starter planet by the time you've hit the fleet, collected crew skills etc you can be at level 20. Then, you decide level matching needs to come into play so that everything remains "relevant" so you continue to gain XP on low levelled planets no matter what your level you reach. Then you add in insane XP gain in flashpoints - so if I am low level, learning to play all I need to do is run a flashpoint and there are 2-3 more levels gained. Then, to top it all, as some massive "charcoal in your Christmas stocking" you give us double XP which you cannot switch off. Seriously, who sits in your office BW and makes these decisions? I can only assume there is a bunch of "yes men" sat around a table and one person lacking some mental capacity sat at the head of the table: "Lets do this insane thing" All - Yes, yes, yes, yes "Now lets do this" All - Yes, yes, yes, yes "Now lets make it so easy a 5 year old could do it....." All - Yes, yes, yes, yes Come on!! At least let us switch off the 2x XP - 2x insane amounts of XP doesn't help!
  25. It amazes me there are still people like this in the world - those people with a moral compass so low in the ground etc. This was the main reason I was always going to go and see the movie on release day (here in the UK - yesterday). I managed to avoid the internet and I went into it knowing what was only officially released - trailers, interviews etc. Treat any in-game message as you would SPAM at home - don't recognise the sender, simply delete.
