  1. I've been away from the game for a few months - just thought I'd subscribe for a month or two, see how things were going. I honestly cannot believe this is still a thing. When I stopped playing back in February a thread on this was on the first page constantly. I logged in yesterday to find this one number three in the list So we've still got bots making millions and causing a general inflation in the cost of good after all these months? I don't expect the credits my characters have is actually worth half what it was a few months ago.
  2. Skip the first 9 "launch" chapters so that I *might* just be interested in running more than the 3 characters I've already run through. Needs a "click here to begin chapter 10" button desperately.
  3. Yup - they should do that. Then watch subscriptions fall by 50% As I've said before, SWTOR is not free to play. SWTOR is a paid subscription based game with a free option - NOT the other way around.
  4. Ah right. So what you are saying is that achievements that were available before 4.0, although not removed from the game, are no longer achievable and that is as intended? That makes lots of sense.
  5. Happy clapper "Thanks for the pile you just gave me. All those people complaining about being given a pile, how dare they" Bioware "You are welcome happy clapper, enjoy this item that makes your character look like one of the NPCs most people don't care about" Happy clapper "For reals? You really are the best Bioware!" Sensible player seeing through the usual Bioware shizzle - "Meh"
  6. Oh look - the weekly "We want stuffs but we don't want to pay for stuffs so just give us the stuffs for free or we will moan a lot" post. Then, to qualify what I'm asking for "It's horrible paying nothing and being restricted. Please lift restrictions for us people not sending money on a subscription"
  7. The event has now run for either three or four times with these achievements bugged. What this should tell you is that BW really don't give a damn about their game - money pours in, they fix nothing, money still pours in - and there lies the problem. Quality control in this game simply doesn't exist - it's sad and its a shame really but there you go.
  8. Yep, surprises me too because we all know how great and how fast BW are at closing exploits..... ....wait a second.
  9. Yup - shows that people don't read the patch notes. Went out and collected the achievement the day it was fixed.
  10. Just turn off the tutorial - there is a tooltip as soon as you start the game, so you know.....read rather than just automatically dismissing everything?
  11. Or, alternatively, he remains exclusive as he was sold and those that didn't get him never do and I can enjoy their salty tears even longer.
  12. I'm all for people "multiboxing" but from a comedy point. If someone wants to pay two subscriptions to this game and then do nothing but play the game with themselves then go for it. Doesn't harm me one little bit. It all feels a little sad, a little loner, but each to their own I guess.
  13. *Sigh* Another stronghold to fill will junk and rubbish just to get maximum conquest bonuses again. As if stronghold's aren't already a waste of time, effort and money.
  14. If someone uses that stupid "special snowflake" line again..... We get it, you're jealous - just don't try and hide it behind a "funny comment". As for appearing on cartel market - will never happen. Because if it does, the amount of people who will simply unsub during the "no new content" stages of the game will make quite a dent in things. By offering exclusive items they keep some people on a sub who would otherwise not bother. The "staying subbed for the HK mission at the end of the current story" really doesn't count. I don't know one person who ever wanted the ability to "play as HK" and I think the percentage of people who are truly excited about it is pretty minimal. The monthly awards at the moment have thus far been pretty "meh" but have been exclusive. They too won't be appearing for sale.
  15. Yup - you'll find plenty of people on there. They will be: 1. Looking for exploits or bugs they can benefit from once the patch goes live 2. Playing the new content/features (not testing) so that they will have a nice advantage on live 3. writing step-by-step guides for new content/features Actual bug finding and reporting - that's the only thing that won't be happening on the PTS.
  16. They continuously kill quest giving NPC's. So to clarify: They are using an exploit/bug to get where they shouldn't They are harassing other players by killing quest givers/receivers So those two things alone are enough to get a ban. Yet BW, as usual do absolutely nothing about it. *Waits for the happy clappers to come along and tell us to get off BW back, they are the best, etc, insert more of the same here, etc*
  17. Out of a field of at least 8. So yes, places 1-3 are rewarded for getting through numerous qualification stages, quarter finals, semi finals and then a final where at least 8 people are taking part. A single Warzone is stand-alone and there are only 2 teams playing. How on each can you make any kind of comparison between the two? When you watch a regular football match between two teams, there is a winner and there is a loser. There is not a winner and a second place team. Losing is losing - this is a life lesson you really need to pick up on.
  18. What do you mean "sink as low as it is now".? So you lose a few matches, boo hoo? What else do you want - the ability to say "Nah, I've had enough of this warzone yet for some reason still get credit for it". That isn't an improvement, that is simply giving people something for moaning and crying. We already have a quite adequate way of dealing with a wz we don't want to be in - quit warzone. Why attempt to re-design the wheel? At no point in this game do you "have to do" PvP - and just to go over that point again, at absolutely NO POINT are you FORCED to do PvP in this game. So, if you want to queue up to do it you're doing so for one of two reasons: 1. You want to do it 2. You want to try it What we don't need is some button that says "yup, you entered a wz, the other team is vastly superior to them - click here for "turning up" rewards". This is not school where everyone gets a "participated" medal and we cannot have winners because the feelings of everyone else are hurt.
  19. Personally I'd say the best solution is to ignore this thread, let it go away and just let PvP carry on the way it always has done. People moan and cry about it now as they did at the beginning. No biggie, the PvP population will never change, for each one person so fed-up they leave it there is one ready to give it a go. The population never gets massive, but the majority of those in it will take the wins with the losses, the others can just continue to exit warzone, rinse and repeat.
  20. WOW - someone who doesn't understand economics 101. If there wasn't so many credits in the game, items wouldn't be selling for as high as they are. Everyone would be able to purchase what they want with the credits they have. By having too many credits in the game and those credits being horded by a relative small percentage, you create a system like we have now. All items are over-priced because the small majority of super rich players can and will spend the credits. When you have 500m credits, paying 10m for a chest piece s nothing. When you're the player who has a very fair 5m credits, then that chest piece is going to be forever out of reach. Any game can be fair to all by not having a hyper-inflating economy where only the rich get richer and those at the lower end of the game miss out - there only chance in the SWTOR game is by spending real money on cartel packs and items i the hope they can get something to make a lot of credits and thus give them the opportunity to also purchase these items. The game could realistically cause NOBODY to be required to do massive amounts of work to get the items they want as items would be selling at a realistic price anyone can afford. They aren't because BW have allowed the economy, through ridiculous credit drops, exploits and the like, to become hyper-inflated.
  21. OP - if you want to blame anyone, blame BW. The amount of credits in the game continuously increases with no real "credit sinks". Everything is a "once only" purchase and instead of people using what credits they already have, they just go and slice for a day or two and make x million of credits to buy whatever they need. I remember my first ever run through this game - thank god I had the digital deluxe version of the game as there was no possible way my character could have afforded his first speeder. These days - 100 million credits is chump change to many and that is why people place items for sale at 20m+ because those people with multiple 100's of millions will buy them. Games like this can truly suffer with a messed-up economy, the economy in this game is messed up and will never be fixed.
  22. You're a single person making a single report. If there were a bug that was allowing unflagged players to be killed these forums would be full of reports by now. There are a number of reasons why this happened and all of them point to you needing to be flagged. Now the "bug" maybe that you were not seeing yourself as flagged, this is the most likely situation here. In which case make a report or even better, see if there is a way of reproducing it. Otherwise just time to move on really. All you lose from dying to another person is a little time. This would be an issue if you actually lost something for being killed, but in this care bear land we play death means nothing but a few minutes of your time.
  23. That's because the mission was recently made easier. You're replying to an old thread - at that time it was extremely difficult to complete it alone - heroic moments and abilities such as sacrifice were the only way of getting through it. However, as this has now been changed so it has been bought inline with other heroic's, there is no longer an issue doing it solo.
  24. And people going on about "compatibility" of games and hardware are lying too. Windows 10 works natively with anything thrown at it - sure it might have some issues with 10 year old hardware, but that's the hardware's fault, not the OS. And even if there is an issue, drop into compatibility mode and everything is fine. There is no reason not to use Windows 10. SWTOR is certainly not a reason not to use it. I honestly cannot remember the last time Win10 crashed on me full stop. It is just so damn stable.
