  1. this usually happens after every major update. Update happens and then it's follow by several counter updates where they try to fix what they broke with the initial major update.
  2. Lets be honest here, having characters on both factions is neither hard or challenging. I know people who have went from 1 to 50 in 4 days, no challenge what so ever. What it is, is simply a time sink for the average player, and it's a rather pathetic one. Interestingly enough, I'm betting that once you do have both those faction, the actual quest to get the HK probably won't take no more than an hour or two and will compose of your regular go there, talk to this guy, do a quest or 2 for him and the reward will be some part that's need to fix HK. Further more I suspect the need for dual factions is because these quests will take on planets that only 1 faction has access to, such as Kass and Coruscant. If that is in fact the case, it will be rather sad and pathetic on BW's part. Gone are the days of FF11, where you had no walk through, no star on the map. What you did have is a vague quest description, which lead you to a giant map the size of Toony, where you had to run all over and find a ??? to continue with the quest. Try that for challenge.
  3. I honestly don't see how leveling a new character to level 50 is "challenging". Leveling to 50 is easy as hell take a week+ depending on how much you play, I know some crazy people that have done it in several days. Call it what is it, a time sink for the casual players, but please don't call it "challenging".
  4. Point of people being agree isn't because they have to work for it, but because they are forced to do it. BW simply doesn't give any alternatives to obtaining HK thought a single faction. Many people like the fact that they can be associated with a single faction, and so far as I know there hasn't been a single MMO out there that forced someone to level both factions in order to obtain a big part of the game play. Sure there may have been instances where if you had dual factions characters you may have gotten some title or some vanity item, but not miss half the game play. Think of it this way, what if in order to gain access to some high level content in an MMO, you had to have dual faction characters, there is no way around it. Level the faction you don't like playing to 50,60 or 80 before you can see new content, because this is basically what it all comes down to. This just goes to show BW's piss poor solution to the lack of content in SWTOR. They don't have new content to release, so instead they will make you grind for the little that they have in hopes people will do and buy themselves some time.

    Hacking

Well, you send a ticket, sometime later BW will respond by saying they will investigate the matter and so on. At which point that ticket will be swept into the "we don't care much about it now" folder and forgotten. On a serious note, if you have pictures of the hacking, post them here.
  6. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like a lot of people here are into self punishment. If that is in fact the case, I suggest you guys try out Final Fantasy 14. Which btw, I personally think is way more interesting then the current SWTOR.
  7. 3 Months ago, my guild had about 20+ active people at any given time, 30-40 during raid nights. Sunday may 13th, raid night, 7 active players, had to pug one to run EC. Server population is down to about a steady 40+ people in fleet on the republic side, 50+ on the sith side. Things are looking grim. Brace yourselves, D3 is coming.
  8. To be fair, CCP did fix a lot of their major bugs within the first 24hours. Or at least acknowledge that they exist.
  9. I think it can be done, at least the new class. SWTOR is missing that support character class that very other MMO has. In Rift, there's the bard, in GW you had the Paragon, not much in terms of dps, but the whole purpose of the class was to boost other classes. I think something like this can and should be done in SW.
  10. short answer No. Trooper in general is a class that is being currently hated by everyone, particularly due to pvp and people who have no idea how to counter it. While I can't comment much on the gunnery commando build, I've never actually played it. The Assault Spec in the commando tree, while very interesting to play, is by far the worst dps in game. Its very gear heavy reliant, and ever with Rakata gear it's so so. My CM, the tree I play the most, is dying breed. Since 1.2 there's been less and less of us. We're not wanted in pve content because we can't do much vs aoe dmg, and even when we try, we simply run out of ammo and then stand looking pretty until our ammo regens. Its really came to the point that on my server I get "lols" when someone is shouting for a healer for a pug flashpoint or an ops. As for pvp, well, we simply melt.
  11. I hate to break it to you guys, but so far, everything that Bioware said they "fixed" in 1.2, is still as broken as it was in the beta. and I'm not talking just about Counselors. I'm talking about the whole damn game both pve and pvp.
  12. Seriously? Continue to report a problem that's been there since like the beta? So it can go into "oh we don't care much about the problem" folder? Damn, the devs in this game are more useless then the ones in EVE online. At least those guys tried to appear competent.
  13. wouldn't be that big of a problem if it didn't count as a quest in the log taking up space.
  14. on topic, mortar volley looks very silly now, still OK thou. off topic - as a CM (yes I know its weird with 1.2 out, works ok in pve btw) I can't help but wonder when BW will decrease the range of Kolto Bomb to 5m, so it can be in line with other commando abilities.
  15. on top of all that, they also added to the achievement for the speeder into the quest log. Wonder who's bright idea was that with 25 maximum quests available? I picked up all the flashpoints daily/weekly, pvp daily/weekly, ops daily/weekly, and 2 quests that I can't remove due to a bug that's been reported since the launch, and I'm left with 23/25. The hell am I supposed to do then? if I can't even pick up all the daily quests from a hub. If you can't fix a bug, at least increase the damn quests log cap.
  16. Gentlemen, Ladies, there will be glow sticks, glow Sticks everywhere, and the cantina bands will play rave music.
  17. So, I got a few pieces of Rakata gear from tonight's raid, and I want to hold off getting the actual armor until 1.2 comes since I heal and it may not actually be worth getting a healing set with the possible nerfs coming in 1.2. So, I was wondering will anything happen if I keep it in the unassembled form? would I still be able to use it, or will it become useless?
  18. Well, good news everyone. I've decided to level a Scoundrel for pvp/pve stuff, really enjoying the shotgun to the head thing. Anyways, been doing warzones for the past few night now and guess what? On average both sides have about 4+ Sent/Marauders on each side. So I've been thinking, 1.2 comes, a party of 8 sent/marauders which pretty much tears apart everything in its path, insta win?
  19. Well, I'd like officially thank Bioware for their "balancing". For the past few raids I've been chosen as the sit out guy, or back up. Tonight I finally got an answer as to why that is. My guild doesn't want me in there as a CM, because they don't see the reason to gear up a CM with Rakata gear with 1.2 otw. So, once again, thank you Bioware, you're awesome. Glow Sticks, here I come.
  20. I find it rather funny, pretty much all the class forums are raging about the nerfs to one thing or another in 1.2, well, maybe not the sent/mrd. And we haven't heard a single thing from the devs in regards to that. All the dev tracker has been talking about is the "be a droid" mini-game.
  21. post 1.2, CM is going to be pretty much useless, not only are they decreasing the overall healing output, which I can understand. But, they are also increasing the healing cost, which I don't understand. In HM 8-16men content, CM simply won't be able to keep people up if a bunch of people begin to take dmg, with the healing cost increase you may be able to heal up 2-3 people, after that you're out of ammo. So you need to reload, you do that and the boss uses another aoe skill, well guess what, at that point, you're screwed, people die, fight's over, bye bye CM.
  22. The nerf to healing power wouldn't be so bad, like I said before, I can understand it. But to nerf the healing power while increasing the cost of each healing skills is like putting the final nail into a coffin. CM is already screwed in large ops boss fights where many aoe skills go off in relatively short time. With 1.2, CM will become totally useless simply do the fact that we won't be able to keep people up, 3 big heals, Adv probe and regular probe, you're out of ammo stuck waiting for it to recharge or hit reload and be in the same situation with no ammo when boss decides to use his next big aoe skills. As for the battle rez, at this point I think its completely useless to CM's. We learned to get around it. With a 5min cool down timer between skills and with healing output being nerfed as it is. There won't be much use for it. 2-3 people die, fights over, best you can do is suicide or zone out. Personally I think BW is attempting to make a support class out of the CM, sorta like the bard from rift, if that is the actual case, so far its been a complete and total failure.
  23. so apparently in the latest update on the test server combat medics are getting a battle rez. An obvious way to make CM's shut up about not getting enough from 1.2 or what?
  24. I have been a combat medic in this game since the beta, I've played in since the release and I can without a doubt say its my favorite class of all. The so called "balancing" is completely unneeded. First of, there aren't that many combat medics around on my server, idk how it is on other servers, but there's about 5 sages to every commando on my server. So we're definetly not a fotm or OP as some people claim we are. Second what this "balancing" will do is simply kill all the want/need for anyone to play a commando. Here's the thing bioware, players like to see BIG NUMBERS, whether they are doing dps or heals won't matter. This "balancing" doesn't just decrease our dps output, it completely kills any need for a commando healer (which btw most of the time is not wanted in ops due to the lack of aoe heals, 2 sages is the current fotm). From the healing perspective, I could agree with the need to nerf the healing output, with supercharged cells on we're a stationary healing turret. But to increase the cost of healing as well? For what reason? so we heal 1-2 people up at the cost of 4 ammo charges for each big heal needed and be out of the fight for the next 30sec or so? What's the purpose in that? Lastly I can safely say that hardly anyone here cares what you do with the trauma probe, the damn skill is completely useless, so you might want to "balance" that for it to actually work. Hardly anyone used it when it was free, no one will use it when its 2 ammo charges. While you're at it "balance" field aid, that skill is useless too, it cant even remove 75% of the debuffs in the game, so its safe that no one cares that it "slightly heals". P.S. I would really like to have an dev from bioware who came up with that "balancing" idea answer my questions.
