Exactly my feeling. Would you be so kind and point me to a source that confirms the GSF-size and Makeb-sized expansions (not the dates, just the plans for two such updates)? I was under impression that 2.8 is the big one, Makeb-sized.

Yeah, and they will market Strongholds as the great new thing in 2.8 and then again as great new thing in August in 2.9.

So in the roadmap, the 2.8 was called: "this is going to be the biggest update up to this point - we will reveal more once we are a bit closer to June" Strongholds seem to be the part of 2.8 update. However, I am afraid that we will once again have the same situation as with GSF, which was split into Early Access and regular release, which meant the SAME content (with small additions) in two updates. Hopefully 2.8 will have some more stuff in it (apart from already known things), otherwise it definitely won't be the biggest one. I am in the middle of both (seeker and bino) quest chains and already have doubts whether is it worth going further if I have to spend hours LFGing for the final heroics. The solo parts are quite fun though (well, beside the frustrating seeker droid mechanics).

I also have to reinstall the OS so will use this thread to ask, since I have one doubt. I have the backup of settings and game directory. But what to do after OS reinstall? Just put all files in places and start the game? Will it run without any registry entries? I thought about installing the game from the retail DVD to let it create necessary stuff in the OS (registry, paths) and only then overwriting the files with my backup.

I have a different idea. Instead of creating a lite version of the game, why not create an app that will somehow complement the main game? For example use the upcoming Sony Mobile SDK to write a simple app for managing crew skill missions or access the GTN. That would be cool and a good start. I think you are explaining the max number of schematics form one item. I know all that (but thx anyway). What I meant is this: I read somewhere a statement form Bioware dev that there is a global, maximum number of schematics that one character can learn. And knowing the quality of coding in TOR, it is entirely possible that there is no message to the user when he reaches such number and the tooltip still shows 'Research Available' Or were you referring to this situation?

How will I know if I reached a maximum allowed number of learnt schematics? Is there a message or something? I am asking because I am trying to RE some very low level items (biochem) and nothing pops up after a large number of tries. This situation is now for a few weeks.
