  1. swiftsure won't be overpopulated after the 20th, reroll. im on swiftsure and i havent logged in for over 2 weeks.
  2. "I wish I had hired Blizzard"
  3. The entire overly linear design and lifeless world amongst numerous other things are why i won't resub. It would take starting over from scratch with new developers to get me to subscibe to this game. Not happening, the game is the biggest disappointment ive ever seen.
  4. you will be waiting for quite a while for that horrid engine to be optimized.
  5. The Beta testers that were in this game are probably the worst ever. They should be publicly flagged so they never appear in any other Beta tests for games in the future. They are just as much to blame for this horrid game as BioWare are.
  6. Little point coming to their official forums, the forums are as bad if not worse (if thats possible) than the in game support. Horrid.
  7. You mention the patch notes and that BioWare is taking OUR feedback, yet the fanboys of this game give them none whatsoever. Nothing. The only feed back they are giving them is "this game is great BioWare" "are we playing the same game" and calling anyone that disagrees "haters" Then you go on to say that haters shouldn't respond unless it is contructive. Maybe you should actually stop and think that these so called "haters" that purchased BioWares game, don't like it because it has an incredibly long laundry list of perfectly valid reasons NOT to like it. In short it is the 'haters' that are doing more for your game than the droopy eyed armless children that make up the fanboys. You're welcome.
  8. You are correct OP, it is just another choice in poor game design to add to the incredibly long list. I'd even suggest this 'MMO' would be the worst ever produced.
  9. Why should he? He is absolutely correct.
  10. Just wait until the 20th. You haven't seen anything yet.
  11. You have a problem with people not liking the game then don't read the forums. Funny how all the fanboys cry about the forums yet still read them. Sad really.
  12. Quickly moderators, shut down this thread also as it shows your incredibly average, linear, boring, badly designed game in a poor light! Pathetic.
  13. I don't forget that the Buy to Play model has a cash shop, I also don't forget that the subscription based models also have cash shops. WoW sells sparkle ponies, mounts, pets, etc. SWTOR sells its ridiculous security key then puts in game vendor stalls all over the place to tempt you. No doubt SWTOR will be selling sparkle speeders and various pets soon also. In GW2's cash shop the only items that will available are purely cosmetic they have stressed a number of times that it will always be cosmetic items ONLY, nothing more, similar to WoW. I honestly think SWTOR will always remain a subscription model, I can't see them going Free to Play at all.
  14. It can't come soon enough. I cancelled on the 27th of December and haven't logged into the game for over 2 weeks. I am so tired of having to come to these less than average forums. I'm counting down the days.
  15. The best payment model I believe is the Guild Wars 2 Buy and Play system. Buy the game and it costs nothing after that, if you like the game you have the option to purchase the expansion content packs as they become available. This is great for the playerbase for a couple of reasons. - The developer has to put in a solid effort in their expansion packs to ensure that the player is going to buy the content. No more 'mediocre expansions' (I'm looking at you LOTRO) -If the content pack retails at lets say $50, that is equivalent to approximately 3 months of the current $15 per month WoW/SWTOR subscription model. Often in WoW, and it will happen in this game also, the gap between content patches can go for 4-6 months (WoW has at times gone longer than 6 months) 6 x $15 = $90. You have just paid more money than a full priced AAA game for a 'content patch'. The subscription model can suck you in at times because you just pay each month and may not quite realise how much you've paid in relation to what you've actually received. I'm not a fan of the Free to Play model, if the game is free to purchase then the developer has to make money out of its cash shops. That leads to 'must buy' (if you want to remain competitive) items becoming available in the shop. Or simply 'paying to win' by purchasing the best items. So from the 3 models (subscription, free to play and buy to play) I think the 'buy to play' model easily works out better for the player.
  16. i'd like some boy boy action with borso riggs or w/ever his name is.
  17. Much greater cast belongs to this game http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1814884/fullcredits#cast
  18. Oddly enough this game will actually boost WoWs subscriptions now the game has launched and been out for a month. Many will realise just how good WoW is/was compared to this game.
  19. Shouldn't this have been done in Beta? Seems like a lot of fixes for a live release version of a game.
  20. Welcome to world pvp in SWTOR. Such a well designed and thought out game.
  21. In 49 hours /played I hadn't even seen a member of the opposite faction on a pvp server. I have since canceled (Dec 27) haven't logged in for 2 weeks and can't wait for my subscription to finally end so I don't have to come to these horrid forums anymore. Counting down the days.
  22. Maybe the moderators here should read this before they delete every negative thread, while what you say is true, BioWare seems to think otherwise.
