The new event is even nicer on a nice empty server, I will gladly trade missing OPS and Flashpoints for a Nar Shadda full of smuggler boxes and no waiting to do the quests. Life is good on Vonskr Server so far I have bought two of the rifles for alts, the stupid pet because I had a ton of comms and still have 42 left.

I doubt you will ever see Rodians as a playable race and at the rate this game is going I would recommend you offer $60 (4 months of sub fee) for a lifetime sub as I would bet thats about how much longer this game will be running before EA pulls the life support plug.

As some one already pointed out everyone of those updates was new content, and some of them had additional segments with more content. I was on one of the serves Trion shutdown after launch and you know how they handled it. I got a note saying my shard was going to be a beginner shard and that I should move my characters to one of the remaining regular shards. I was able to pick any shard, and my guild was moved with me, no fuss no muss, some people lost names much like happened here but it felt like we were a. informed and be given a choice. What did BW do, they placed me and my guild on Vonsker, I was in a Aussie guild so when the new oceanic servers came out my Aussie and kiwi friends were allowed to move. The us players in our guild were not, so now I have a legacy I worked hard on, a lvl 50, a bunch of 30's and 40's and I am stuck on a dead server I did not choose. My reward, BW will let me move to Harbinger, sadly my guild is on Dalborra where they were raiding. So until August when my sub is up (I was an idiot and pre-paid for a game I love run by a company I now despise) I can play my rerolled imp on dalborra (yes I can create toons there and play but heaven forbid I be allowed to transfer to the server even though it is a destination server), I can play on Vonsker until BW forces my toons to merge to Harbinger or I can just ignore my toons. The ironic thing is BW has screwed over the Oceanic population with their constant maintenance down time during prime raiding times that most of my guild has cancelled their subs and we now play TSW and were playing the GW2 beta this weekend.

Really Aurellian, you want to defend SWTOR thats your right but if you are going to lie and misrepresent other games content releases I recommend you visit this site http://www.riftgame.com/en/game/updates/conquest-events.php. Rift is up to content release 1.9, and they actually release new content, not things that should have been in the game when it first went live. SWTOR is a good game, the company running it just needs to show that they care about their community. For me the server transfer (I mean merger) issue was the last straw. If you are enjoying this game that's great but when you misrepresent facts everyone should know where to find accurate and real facts on subjects you apparently know nothing about. Oh and a little FYI, when river of soul came out Trion realized what a huge fiasco it was and you know what, they didn't make excuses, they apologized, they promised to learn from the experience and for the most part they have. Game companies like people make mistakes, the key is to learn from them and try and do better.

I agree about the OPS question not being answered and lets face it the quote in green reminds me of the players are free to stay on the origin servers, we are not doing mergers and so many other statements BW has made only to completely ignore them and do whatever the heck they want. In my mind if we have 8 toons on the server they choose for us any others are gonna get deleted, heaven forbid they just let us pick a different destination server. Just wanted to hop on here to let you all know that at no point will we be deleting your characters later this summer when we automatically move any remaining characters from origin servers onto designated destination servers. Comstrike, while you lay out a logical explanation on your opinion of why server transfers won't happen the fact is unless you work for BW you have no clue when/if they will occur. It's obvious that they are not a priority for you personally and yet you continue to post in this topic simply to badger those to whom paid transfers are a sore subject and who as players would like the option to move their characters to one of the remaining servers still active. While I can see a logical reason for BW to not allow cross style transfers on paper I.E. PVP to a PVE server lets be honest, there is really no real world PVP so its a moot point. That being said I have characters on Vornskr that BW wants to shut down and they offer me a chance to move to Harbinger. Sadly I am in a Aussie Guild, the Oceanic members, were allowed to move to Dalborra which is a destination server. Our guild was pre-placed on Vornskr by BW (all of us) but when they opened up oceanic servers they only allowed Oceanic players to transfer. So I have been forced to reroll a toon on Dalborra which BW lets me do but they refuse to allow me to move my 50 and all my legacy toons to Dalborra. So I too eagerly await paid transfers so I can pay BW for the privilege of reuniting my toons with my guild mates. I have no interest in moving to Harbinger and so you see I too want to know when I can move my toons to Dalborra which by the way is a destination server and is not locked. Waiting for the mergers to finish which you claim is a priority makes no sense as it will have no impact on the transfer process as every remaining server is classified a destination server for someone. It should not matter one iota where my toons move as long as BW gets to shutdown Vornskr and if anything I wager Dalborra is less crowed than Harbinger so I will be one less person clogging the queue there. ,

Yep, they also saidd they were not doing server mergers, that they would not force people to transfer off origin servers, that ranked wz's would be out for 1.2, that Legacy perks could either be bought or unlock with legacy leveling, etc, etc . Hows that working out for you so far testszag.

When will I be able to Join my Guild on Dalborra given BW placed me on Vornskr with my guild at launch and refuses to allow me to transfer there despite having the ability to do so. Thanks

Guys, Sadly we are wasting our time, over 5000 posts, 292,000 views and all BW does it take any talk about transfers and jams them in this thread. Ever wonder why they don't pick the server transfer subject to mention in there weekly forum wrap ups. For those of you staying I wish you all the best, this is a good game, is going to get better but the way BW treats their players I would not be surprised if the next sub release number shows another drop in players.

All I want is for BW to let me transfer to Dalborra where the rest of my guild was moved. They claim they can't transfer my toons so I have 38 fun filled days of sitting on Vornskr.

My patience is gone and your recent bribe scam just pisses me off. I am beginning to believe you guys don't get it and don't bother reading your customer service tickets.. Fact - BW pre -placed my guild Semi Serious Sith on Vornskr as west coast server. Fact - When you opened up the Oceanic servers you were more than capable of transferring people toons from Vornskr to Dalborra Fact - You chose to ignore the fact that guilds can be made up from friends around the world and refused to allow anyone from Vornskr to transfer to Dalborra so as someone in the US I have been effectively cutoff from my guild. Fact - I have a level 50 BH, a legacy and six other toons all over the level 23 as part of said legacy. I can't speak for anyone else but yes in my case BW placed my guild on Vornskr (pre-launch) and then transferred the Aussie amd Oceanic folks to Dalborra when they opened up the Oceanic servers leaving me and my legacy behind. The really sad thing is their response was simply, wait for the new transfer process and feel free to roll new toons on Dalborra. So they have no issue with me playing on Dalborra but they couldn't be bothered to allow me to transfer my legacy toons when the rest of my guild was moved by BW. The bottom line is they just can't be bothered to deal with customers. This is a great game but I refuse to resub to a game where my options are pretty much abandon the toons you leveled the first 3 months of the game. I pre ordered the CE version, I subed for 6 months straight away and I enjoy the game but I have slowly learned to despise BW and EA. I understand they have priorities but they could have simply added my toons to the list of toons to transfer to Dalborra, instead they decided guilds and friendships are overrated, let the poor sap stay on a US West Coast Server. Oh and if you want to have fun submit the same trouble ticket and see how many different responses you get. They don't even bother reading the tickets, they find a key word and stop reading (oh transfer, this person must be complaining about the transfer process, let me send him the helpful guide). Anyone notice other than the we are consolidating this discussion with the1000's (yes for a game suffering unsubs) of others. Allison if you do read this I would like to know why my desire to play with the people I joined the game with is so unreasonable,you moved my guild from the server you placed it on.

Come to Vornskr, its a great RP server, I pretend my Legacy BH and alts are interacting with my Guild which was moved to Dalborra but sadly I live in the US and was not allowed to move (Silly I know, why would I want to play with my guild mates). We do great things, have completed all the nightmare ops, killed the emperor last week (not the fake one), freed Revan, completed a deathstar (sadly can't find endor on the map as those Ewoks were going to be my test subjects) and tomorrow we are visiting the petting zoo on Balmorra. I actually laughed out loud, you are such a kidder. Pray tell, why is it "AWESOME" now, 1.3 has not even hit yet?

I understand why BW wants to let things settle down on the server side of the house due to the recent transfers. But the fact of the matter is they have a system that works in place and a lot of frustrated players who rerolled due to dead servers. Given the focus on Legacy and naming conventions I also understand why people were frustrated with transfers as the way BW handled the issue flys in the face of their marketing on Legacies and your characters being special. That being said there are some players who were completely screwed by BW when the Oceanic servers were opened up, some Aussies who's characters that didn't meet the creation deadline for the move. And then there is my case, a US player (one of many) playing with Friends in Australia and New Zealand in a predominately Oceanic Guild. BW and EA made a big deal about the importance of gaming with friends to the point they pre placed guilds on servers but of course like so many things they failed to have Oceanic servers available. When they opened the oceanic servers did they let whole guild move or give anyone a choice to move their toons, of course not. So I sit on Vornskr with my Legacy toons and BW was kind enough to offer me a free transfer to Harbinger, well whoop dee do, my guild and friends are on Dalbora not Harbinger. So much for Guilds are a key part of our gaming community. I respect your take on the situation but don't tell me to relax. BW has the capability to move my toons to Dalborra (I will live with the lag) they just choose not too and then they wonder why people are pissed off. Patience only gets you so far and every week they seem to alienate more of their player base. I have contacted them several times regarding my situation and get the same old canned response "we are working on it, congratulations you can move your toons to Harbinger, blah blah blah. To me its about playing with the people I pre-ordered this game with so until it happens I will have 8 toons sitting on a dead server that hopefully costs EA/BW more than the 15 dollars I pay them a month.

Jonathan, in my case I would love to be playing my legacy toons with my guild. EA/BW has not figured out that guilds are made up of people from around the world and that opening the oceanic servers to only people in the region screwed pretty much anyone in a Aussie guild who does not live in the region as we were not given the option to transfer our toons. Not to mention some of my Aussie guildies still have toons that are stuck on a dead Vonsker server because they didn't qualify for transfer (no clue what that is about). But on a positive note, I can interact with a hell of a lot more people on forums than I can on a dead server.

Now that the free transfers have occurred any chance those of us who were in aussie based guilds can now follow our guilds to the APAC servers, I don't see any reason to move from vornskr to harbinger as my guild is on Dalborra. I don't understand how BW setup a pre lauch guild mechanism with no APAC servers and then when you opened the servers you only let Australian IP's transfer. I would love to reunite my legacy and level 50 BH with my guild. Thanks

Not sure what will happen but I plan on finding out, they have not announced where Vornskr folks will get to move but I am guessing it's not Dalborra and seeing that's where BW moved my guild (a group of friends from all over who play MMO's together in case a BW employee reads this) I guess I will just sit on Vornskr until paid transfers. If you do transfer off Vornskr and forgot to lock your abandoned star-ships, water the plants or left behind your droid by accident drop me a line will be happy to stop by and take care of things. If I am left in charge I will institute a rule banning the use of Ilum for world PVP, ban travel to Tatooine due to plague outbreaks and enforce a strict limit on the speeds of all personal transports on the fleet. On a serious note any of you in the same boat as me (stuck on Vornskr because BW does not understand that people from other countries often join the same guild to play together) pipe up, maybe they will let us rejoin our guilds after the dust settles on the free transfers.
