  1. $1k for an SSD? Where did you buy it from, Circuit City? Oh, you're a troll :-(
  2. 5 days at a fairly leisurely pace (worked on professions, idled a lot to avoid server queues). It was just from questing and the occasional flashpoint. No PvP. If I had to say how much of that time was actually spent questing, it was probably about 4 days /played, maybe a little less. This game's definitely not 10 days /played to max level like I remember vanilla WoW being.
  3. It was a dumb plot twist. It makes more sense as dark side though, since you can basically choke him to near death and then treat him like an awkward ex-girlfriend for the rest of the game. Also, use spoiler tags, bro. And this belongs in the Sith Warrior forum.
  4. Everyone will be uninstalling if the problems the OP brings up aren't addressed. Get to max level and experience the content. I can guarantee you that you'll be disappointed if you're used to WoW, LOTRO, or Rift endgame. It's clearly an afterthought.
  5. They actually aren't in the position to release massive updates. They need to fix the current content first before they focus on new raid tiers. If they don't, SWTOR will just be host to a loot bag, buggy endgame.
  6. There are progression-hindering bugs right now regarding many encounters, such as the last boss of HM Foundry, who one-shots people with a certain ability because it acts as though he's enraged. This was also the case with the first boss of Eternity Vault near the end of the beta. Many chests cannot be looted after a boss if you've wiped on that boss before. This occurs most prevalently in Boarding Party, normal and HM. These bugs make endgame simply unenjoyable. They need to be fixed ASAP or it'll appear as though Bioware doesn't care about hardcore gamers.
  7. Oh, is that a fact? Because I enjoyed Baulder's Gate 2 more than the original, and I also preferred ME2 over ME1. In fact, critical reviews were much higher for ME2 than for ME1. THAT'S a fact.
  8. Remember Meeting Stones when WoW first tried to implement a dungeon queue? They would put people on queues to join the instance they sat in front of. Later, Blizzard created the dungeon finder and turned Meeting Stones into group summoning stones. But maybe a Meeting Stone-type dungeon finder would be a good idea for SWTOR, in which the flashpoints are all in a few central locations.
  9. I'm going to join you if they don't fix the endgame hard mode flashpoints and operation in the next major content patch.
  10. Here's an idea - add a KOTOR-esque skill queue. Just a 3 slot queue is enough to even out dps rotations and make the game not seem so clunky.
  11. It is nowhere near > 90% atm in endgame. Many of the heroic flashpoints are bugged so bad you cannot complete them, and the raid content is also bugged and lacking. PC gamer had to have reviewed SWTOR for its leveling content. I'm sure they didn't get past lvl 40 before throwing that review up.
  12. You should be able to reset your AC up to lvl 40 or so. There's no reason against this, since it doesn't affect endgame.
  13. Good post. Most people who responded to this topic were incredibly rude and unhelpful, but you're constructive.
  14. I'd rather sit in the Imperial Fleet for 2 hours and spam for a healer to do a bugged 30 minute hm flashpoint. I've played WoW for 7 years and you're wrong. There's still a strong server community, just in the form of raiding and pvp guilds instead of casual guilds.
  15. Wow, how could they forget a /roll option? Have any of the Bioware developers ever played WoW endgame?
  16. Which hard mode flashpoints aren't bugged? So far, 2 out of 3 hm flashpoints I've tried are unfinishable.
  17. For me, SWTOR began at lvl 1 and ended at lvl 49. The endgame is a joke.
  18. Yes, please. Right now the HM Flashpoints are in a terrible, unbalanced, buggy state.
  19. Many of the side quests ARE pretty grindy, but mostly if you do the bonus objectives. The main objectives are usually actually pretty story driven. If you play as a stealth class where you can stealth past the droves of enemies along the narrow corridors, the game feels less grindy.
  20. Metacritic user review definitely means a lot.
  21. lvl 35-49 are actually better than lvl 1-34. It's lvl 50 that really sucks ATM.
  22. The game isn't too hard. It's cryptic. Cryptic (adj): mysterious in meaning; puzzling; ambiguous The game wouldn't be cryptic if we could see combat logs detailing how much damage we're doing and what killed us. Then tank and spank wouldn't be "hard" again for the first time in 6 years. Go play WoW hard modes again before you cry panda land and you'll see how dps meters cause mechanics to actually require more movement and raid awareness, making the game more fun. Granted, in WoW by the end of Cataclysm, those mechanics amount to pressing a button to avoid raid damage, but it's still better than tank and spank with random enrage mechanics and no way to fix the problem except by replacing BOTH dps.
  23. You need a meter to improve your dps, else you have no way of testing whether your dps has improved. Plus, there are two dps. How do you tell which one is the weakest link?
  24. I killed him on my first try without Call of the Force up. It was definitely a close encounter though. He can't be knocked back, so don't waste any time force pushing to set up a force charge. Instead, pop saber ward and go to town with your rotation. If he gets you low and your medkit is on cooldown, he runs rather slow, so feel free to kite him and give your companion time to heal you. You pretty much have to use Quinn on this guy, btw. Make sure Quinn's healing buff is on. Also, use a stim, and even an adrenal if you're having too much difficulty. Else just get some hm gear and come back later lol.
